The Sonic Werewolf form first appeared in Sonic World Adventure (Sonic Unleashed). Sonic is transformed into a monster by Dr. Eggman, awakening Dark Gaia. In his werewolf form, Sonic loses his talent for running fast, but gains enormous physical strength and endurance, and his arms acquire the ability to stretch incredibly long. By transforming, the werewolf Sonic can climb walls and gains additional combat skills.

Dark Sonic
