Roman Chernitsyn is a Russian musician, composer, vocalist. He started his career in his own group Slow Motion, which in 1999 transformed into PLAZMA. This Russian-speaking collective at one time made a breakthrough in Russian show business - sang mainly in english language... Roman is still the lead singer of the PLAZMA group.

    Biography of Roman Chernitsyn

During his school years, Roman was fond of cars, easily recognized various brands and models. And the guy was also interested in music. In 1988, this hobby led him to the team to Andrei Tryaschev. Here Roma met his future teammate Maxim Postelny. Tryryaschev's group soon broke up, and his friends decided to create a duet Slow Motion.

It was the beginning of the 90s and the musicians had to earn a living every day. Roman found a job at the Spetsenergoremont plant, served Volgogres. He was engaged in creativity in his free time. The main feature of the duo were English songs. Roma and Maxim were inspired to this by their love for foreign performers. Among their idols are George Michael, A-ha, Depeche Mode, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Björk. Once the duet's cassette was listened to by the Volgograd businessman S. Oleinik. He gave finance for development, and producer Anatoly Abolikhin organized performances. Chernitsyn left the duo in 1995-1996 and toured with the Casus Belli group.

Returning to Slow Motion, Roman performed with Maxim in clubs. It soon became obvious that Volgograd was too small for the creative ambitions and possibilities of the duo. In 1999, the guys were able to conclude an agreement with D. Malikov for five years. The new producer advised to change the name to a more sonorous one. This is how PLAZMA was born.

The first song of the group Take My Love was not new, but for the group it became a breakthrough throughout the country. She literally blew up the charts, soon a video was shot. The second hit of the group and the video for it - The Sweetest Surrender - was not long in coming. In 2000, they released their debut album Take My Love.

In the early 2000s, two more videos were released and in 2002 a second disc called "607". This album turned out to be less danceable, more mature. In 2006, the third disc, Black & White, was released at D. Malikov's studio. The guys experimented not only with the repertoire, but also with the composition of the group. We tried to perform with girls, for example, in 2008 Chernitsyn recorded a song with Alena Vodonaeva, a former member of Dom-2. But in the end, the group remained purely male, and Roman still performs songs in English.

    Biography

Born on November 7, 1972 in the city of Volgograd (RSFSR, USSR). In his youth, Roman was fond of music and cars, the brands and models of which he knew by heart. In 1988, being a schoolboy, he joined Andrey Tryasuchev's team, which included his future partner in "PLAZMA" - Maxim Postelny. Having tried to hum an excerpt of one of the songs of the West German duet "Modern Talking" in the voice of Thomas Anders, the excerpt of the song performed by Chernitsyn impressed the members of the young boy band, and soon Roman joined the group. But soon the collective broke up for everyday reasons and only Maxim, Roman and their like-minded bass player Nikolai Romanov remained in the group. But he also left them. Having recorded several songs with the participation of the guitarist of the group "Casus Belli" Denis Plebeysky, Roman went on a sabbatical, due to a lack of livelihood, because it was 1992 in the yard. Chernitsyn got a job at the Spetsenergoremont plant, which sent orders to power plants. Roman served Volgogres. But after a local businessman Sergei Oleinik listened to their cassette, the group revived. Slow Motion now has its own producer - Anatoly Abolikhin, who worked with Dmitry Malikov. Upon his return, in 1993, the duet recorded four pieces at Brodovsky's, from the incomprehensible, as the Volgograd musician Igor Orlov said - three - Abolikhin's and one of his own - “Take My Love”. This was followed by a sabbatical. Taking advantage of this, Igor Orlov invited Chernitsyn to sing at Casus Belli instead of the departed Nikolai Krupatin. He agreed. from Wiki: Plazma - a musical group from Russia (the city of Volgograd). It includes Roman Chernitsyn (vocals, music, lyrics), Maxim Bed (keyboards, backing vocals, music, arrangements), Nikolay Trofimov (guitar) and Alexander Luchkov(violin, guitar). A distinctive feature of this group is that they became one of the first Russian pop groups to perform their songs exclusively in English for a Russian-speaking audience. The style of performance ranges from synth-pop to op-rock.

Gained fame after the release of the first single Take my love, who became an active participant in many radio charts. The first two albums - "Take My Love" and "607" - sold over 1,000,000 copies.

I accidentally stumbled upon their clip on youtube, was attacked by nostalgia and watched their performances and clips for two hours)

The most famous hit of the group is undoubtedly the song "Take my love", I think most have heard it. I remember when the song was at the peak of popularity, I was sure that some foreign boy band was singing it, the guys have amazing English) And what a surprise it was when I found out that this was a domestic group.

    video director Philip Yankovsky

the producer of the group for a long time was Dmitry Malikov

in 2009 the group took part in the selection for Eurovision, I don’t remember the exact results, but the guys unfairly took a place somewhere in the bottom of the table (Nastya Prikhodko won then))) Although, again, the guys have wonderful English and a song on a relevant topic ... ...

Another "surge" (if it can be called a surge) in popularity was a duet with Alena Vodonaeva

The group released the last video in 2010.

From the last songs I found, dated 13g .:

Maybe I didn’t notice, but I don’t remember any particular popularity among them (except for the beginning of 2000 times of Take my love), although in my opinion the guys had everything for this: voice, appearance, English, texts are written yourself ..... Why? Wrong music format?

Do you remember such a group? Have you ever listened to them?
