Woman soldier - yes or no? Still a controversial issue. Women are created to look after children and provide comfort at home when their men are at war.
Woman warrior - from time immemorial it was only an exception to the rule, but today, in the 21st century, a woman police officer and a woman soldier have long been surprising no one.

March 8 is a reason to put aside disputes about military conflicts and terrorism, about new weapons and other hot topics. It is more logical on this day to talk about the beautiful half of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The modern Russian army numbers about 45 thousand female contract women, who, along with the stronger sex, perform their military duty. The total number of girls, one way or another related to the Russian army, exceeded 326 thousand. It is significant that this figure is only increasing every year: military service is becoming more attractive for our girls.

The RF Armed Forces provide ladies with over 150 different specialties. You must understand that the army is not only trenches, mud, etc. Most of the girls are listed in communications units, specialized educational institutions, medical personnel, food and clothing services. Their merits are difficult to overestimate, a fresh example is the provision of medical assistance to the civilian population of Syria. Fearless women are ready to go to hot spots and perform the most difficult tasks on an equal basis with men.

It is worth noting a serious increase in the number of people wishing to enter the educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense. Popular are the "Naval Academies" in St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad, VVDKU in Ryazan, VA VKO in Tver, the Moscow Military University and many other departments. A graduate of one of these institutions, as a result, receives a diploma and a military rank, which opens the way for her to military structures.

If a girl is really impatient to join the ranks of the defenders of the Motherland, there is always the opportunity to go to serve under a contract. Here, of course, you need to take into account some requirements: age from 18 to 40 years old, no health problems, good physical fitness. And the specialty that is in demand in the Armed Forces, of course, will be an undoubted plus.

Each candidate must come to the selection point, have a conversation with a special inspector and pass sports standards in three areas: strength, speed and endurance. Nothing out of the ordinary - abs exercises, shuttle running and kilometer cross. Standards vary by age. Did one of the three tests fail? It does not matter, in a month the girl will be able to pass the exam again. If successful, she comes with all the necessary documents and certificates to the military enlistment office, where the question of the candidate's suitability for contract service is decided by voting.

The desire of true patriots to serve for the good of the Motherland does not go unnoticed by the state, which takes great care of the representatives of the RF Armed Forces. Service in the army is guaranteed stability. There can be no problems with paying salaries, the conditions of the Labor Code are fully observed, there are good opportunities for career growth. Agree, in "civilian life" it is not always easy to find a job with such fundamental conditions.

Another important point is social security. Absolutely all servicemen of the Russian army are provided with a full social package: treatment at the expense of the state (military medicine is a very high level), serious travel benefits, housing. There are 12 more attractive items here, but these three stand out.

There are a lot of advantages: a hassle-free decree (work will definitely not run away from you), a decent pension, and for some it is an opportunity to be close to a military husband. In recent years, work in the Armed Forces has become extremely prestigious. And patriotic sentiments in the country awakened great, and the Russian army itself was put in full order.

Getting into the army is not so difficult, but every woman should understand what difficulties she may face in a new job. Constant moving, business trips, shifts ... The career is attractive, but did anyone say that it would be easy in this area? State security is at stake. People come here not for the sake of earning money, and not those for whom patriotism is something alien. This is not the place in the army, here the priority idea should remain to protect the interests of your country. If the candidate takes into account such nuances, problems will not arise in the future.

On International Women's Day, I would like to congratulate all the fair sex and thank the military girls for trying to keep up with men in this field. Every year Russian women make an increasingly significant contribution to the security of our Motherland. And the stereotype "the army is not a woman's business" has already been completely destroyed.

There is no conscript service for girls in the Russian army, nevertheless, more than 300 thousand women are in military service.

The Russian Army today cannot be imagined without the fair sex. They fulfill their military duty in special forces, in the marines, in the motorized rifle and arctic brigades as soldiers, sailors, sergeants, foremen, warrant officers, warrant officers and officers. It is forbidden by law to involve women in guard, garrison and internal service. The participation of girls on the battlefield or sending them to hot spots is also not allowed. Today, many girls complain about the unfairness of laws and inequality of opportunities for women in the Russian army. They say that girls go to serve in order to prove to themselves that they are no worse than men, but the main thing is that girls are ready to pay their debt to their native country.

Girls in the army can get into the army in two ways. Firstly, having entered a military school and received an officer's rank after graduation. Training in military schools for girls is free. Secondly, girls can get into the army under the contract. According to the latest official data, there are 326 thousand women in the Russian Armed Forces. This figure is made up of civilian personnel and those who wear shoulder straps. There are about 45 thousand female military personnel in the army.

According to statistics, today in the armed forces of the Russian Federation, one thousand nine hundred and fifty women are serving in officer positions. Of these, twelve in the rank of colonel, two hundred and sixty lieutenant colonels, five hundred majors, five hundred and fifty-two captains, six hundred lieutenants, and several senior lieutenants. Data is quickly becoming outdated as more women in the military are present.

Every year, the interest in military service among girls is increasing, including the number of those who serve under contract. The fair sex attracts in the service, first of all, a high level of social protection: a decent salary, social guarantees, the prospect of obtaining official housing, good medical care.

There are women generals in the Russian army. In 2010, Army General Tatyana Shevtsova was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation by the order of the Commander-in-Chief.

Tatiana Shevtsova still serves in this position.

Elena Knyazeva - Deputy Head of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for educational and scientific work since September 25, 2012.

Elena Knyazeva is acting head of the Main Directorate of International Military Cooperation of the Russian Ministry of Defense, she is a Doctor of Philology, Professor, Major General.

Women today are ready to defend their homeland on an equal basis with men. Defender's Day has become their holiday, and they receive congratulations along with the men. Girls in the service do not receive special concessions, but the girls themselves admit that they receive informal concessions in the service. And yet girls, even in the army, remain true to themselves, they are beautiful, responsible and true to duty. Girls bring new relationships to the army, where a purely masculine spirit has always reigned. They are literally changing the face of the Russian Armed Forces. The army is becoming beautiful.

The young ladies began to try on men's suits in earnest. But if only this were the case ... Not everyone would dare to change their wardrobe to camouflage. Although such cases have recently been observed more and more. What attracts the weaker sex in this sometimes overwhelming business? Why do young girls rush, despite the competition, to military schools and sign five-year contracts?

For me as a granddaughter, daughter, sister of an officer, all these are more than strange questions. Not because, knowing the answer to them, I do not consider them incomprehensible. Having studied too well the system of this kind of activity, I am amazed at the courage or stupidity of persons who choose such a profession for themselves.

Russia is not a member of the countries where conscription is performed not only by men. Probably, it is this fact, like a magnet, pulls the graceful figures into the orderly ranks of the servants of the Motherland. The first option is "I don't know, I want to try". Almost romantic ... The second - more common - the daughters (and sons) of military personnel follow in the footsteps of their fathers, because the way to other paths is closed and military women are obtained. This is more than a common occurrence, with more unknown reasons for me. This precedent is observed in my family.

    The elder sister serves

The older sister serves in the ranks of the BB on a contract, although, like me, she knows all the delights of this "job" better than others. The dream of her youth was shoulder straps, when the goal was achieved - no satisfaction happened. Why was the "experience" of generations not accepted? Yes, we were raised in a spirit of respect for form. But we both knew that serving the Fatherland was a heavy duty. Each of us saw and understood that “The state is called the Motherland when it sends its citizens to war, and citizens begin to be called“ sons. ”We also knew how the state pays for bravery and loyalty.

So why daughters, wives, sisters of the military are eager to study the charter, drive a tank, go on "business trips" to combat points? Maybe they are attracted by high earnings, stable living conditions, benefits, social protection? Let's take a closer look at all of these criteria.

The salary is calculated depending on the position, rank, length of service, etc. The salary of my sister is 700 rubles + "compensation for the meal" 600 rubles \u003d 1300. I agree that in the conditions of the Russian countryside it is more or less decent. But the ration is given out occasionally, accumulating debts for several months, no indexation, compensation, of course, too. "Stable living conditions", i.e. apartments are a very sore point lately. The army of homeless soldiers is replenished with each new soldier with his family. "Benefits" are sometimes canceled, then restored, in between - hassle, in addition to the daily, generally accepted. "Social protection" - I don't know how to cry or laugh when looking at this concept.

On the other hand, I understand military women living in garrisons, far from industrial cities, they have little choice: either serve, or work in a local dilapidated collective farm, or stay at home. It is them that I feel most sorry for. Far from Moscow, the bosses feel at ease, which means - "I am the boss, and you are not just a fool, but it is generally not known who." It is even worse when the boss is henpecked with either his wife or his mistress, who literally commands the parade. Here salvation is only in the wisdom of this lady, but this does not happen often. This means that, having seen a cool suit on Ninka, but the commander is not in size, Ninka will receive a number of night shifts in excess of the norm. And if the children are at home and there is no one to sit, even if they are completely removed, the holy place is never empty. But even an empty place is far from sacred, therefore, the Svetka that occupied it will be quieter than water, lower than grass. There is a lady in the circle of my forced acquaintances who clearly cuts off any comment and discontent: "I sleep with the chief of staff, and I also sleep with the battalion commander, if I want, I will sleep and with the division commander, go complain." Such persons behave arrogantly and defiantly, if you have to cross their path - beware. But if only they were a danger ... There is nowhere to look for protection from male attacks in women, and even more so from harassment of the superior husbands.

The fates of army women are different:

Someone sleeps with the leadership of their own free will, and some according to circumstances. Ensign Oksana Ivanovna has been officially the "beloved woman" of the regiment commander for five years. She hardly got a job, and she could only stay on it under the patronage of the colonel who laid eyes on her. Who will refuse the commander if there are no other ways? Oksanka is a deeply decent person and this situation depresses her. Once, I tried to commit suicide, but who will need a sick mother and little Earring?

My friend Sveta is still in a "privileged" position. Her main drawback is her weakness and lack of ability to say "no" (this is what caused her situation). And the most offensive thing is the attitude of colleagues. If the "patron" is on a responsible assignment or on a business trip, comrades in the service (especially persons) eat the poor man for any reason. She cannot give them a decent answer (as some do). Have to endure. To climb the career ladder in this primordially masculine profession, you need to endure a lot: sleepless nights, and insults, and insults. "Female individuals in the shoulder straps of colonels, even generals are an extremely rare phenomenon, but they exist. But even a high rank will not save you from ridicule. About one major general in a skirt, colleagues joke:" Where is she sewing stripes? " Such an attitude needs to go through a lot and not break down. Many women drink too much, who begin to lead a wild lifestyle, who grow stale, and who even go crazy, especially after hot spots. By the way, women are not spared, they even try to send - "sniff gunpowder ", they say, took up the tug ... There are those who drive themselves and more than once, mostly for money, of course.

I don't want to be accused of thickening the colors. All of the above are cons. Pros: you can retire at 37 (the year goes over 1.5). The working wardrobe is the same type, uniform color, issued by the state.

Getting an education in military universities, you do not need to pay, there is a good scholarship, the diploma also applies to the "citizen". The contract system implies a 5 or less year contract, which can be terminated if desired.

Maybe this is the justification for a competition in military schools for 30 people? And I generally keep quiet about police schools. But cadre military men still treat guys with greater confidence than "female individuals" (by the way, the accepted expression), so it is several times harder to prove that you want and can for a young lady. When it was my turn to choose my profession, I cut off only one phrase to my parents: "Anything, just not the army." They, of course, twisted a finger at their temples, rolling a couple of dozen tantrums, in concern for the future of their child, but they still could not convince. I am happy that I myself have solved the problem of this difficult choice, that I myself entered the university I wanted, the faculty I liked. I know that I was not mistaken in rejecting the family tradition, and I will never regret it.

    Women in the army. Statistics:

In the Armed Forces (AF), more than 2,400 women wear officer's shoulder straps.
Among them: one major general, four colonels and over 300 people - senior officers.
The average age of women is from 26 to 35 years.
Every sixth warrant officer is a woman, and among the military personnel serving under contract in the positions of private and sergeant, almost half are female. 25.2% of women serve in military farms; 19% - at headquarters; 17.5% - at communication centers.
There are 650 women officers in the Internal Troops (VV).
The average age is 36 years.
The main places of service are medical units, communication services, there are a small number of teachers in the military institutes of the military.

These are the military women of Russia!

    Evgenia Suvorova

You have already seen enough of all sorts of drunken warriors bathing in fountains and not only. Now let's take a look at what's really mesmerizing.

    Ukraine

25% of our military are women, 13% are mobilized, 7% serve in the officer corps. We also have as many as 12 female generals. We congratulate them on their professional holiday. We love, we are proud, and we thank. We leaf through.

    Sweden

In 1924, the Swedes allowed women to join the army exclusively on a voluntary basis. In 1989, it got to the point that ladies appeared in absolutely every unit of the Swedish armed forces.

Today their number has decreased: only 5%. Must have - beret, braids, and a radiant smile.

11% of the Czech army are ladies. But most of them are in administrative positions. Although, some Czech women have taken root well in the Air Force units.

American soldiers are dressed up in the same way as men. No women's accessories and berets with smiles. But this does not scare the local ladies either: in 2012, the US army consisted of 12% of the fairer sex. This is about 165 thousand enrolled and active + 35 thousand officers.

    Romania

In Romania, too, no one cares whether you are a man or a lady. You will dress the same, live, drink, eat and sleep with everyone. And fight. Therefore, these soldiers have been in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Great Britain

Women were allowed to join the British army only in 1990. They are not allowed on the battlefield, they are not accepted into the ranks of the Navy / Air Force / Special Forces. Maybe they don't even get their hands on machines. And in general, they were probably allowed to walk around the barracks solely in order to please the soldier's eye.

    Turkey

Women play an important role in the life of the Turkish army. The world's first female military pilot was in Turkey. Young ladies are even taken into the infantry, and sailors on submarines. Well, in the officer corps, they are also very welcome.

    Canada

During the First and Second World Wars, Canadian women worked in “support”:

    • signalmen;
    • operators;
    • doctors and nurses.

In 1965, the country's government became more accommodating: it allowed 5 thousand ladies to join the armed forces. In 1982, the veto finally fell: the weaker sex was allowed to serve in any military unit in unlimited numbers.

    Norway

The path of women in the Norwegian army is thorny: at first they were “not taken”, then, starting from 1938, they were shoveled with “buckets”. In 1947, everyone was again sent to civilian life. Later, in 1977 and 1984, they slowly began to recruit again into the ranks of the Nordic warriors. It got to the point that in 1995 a sensible lady could easily become the commander-in-chief of a submarine.

Today the situation has slowed down, and the ladies are no longer on the submarines. Probably, they outgrew the "water", and moved into the "red berets".
