    How to create a paper balloon basket

    Prepare a set of materials for work:

    • rubber ball;
    • newspaper;
    • a tube of PVA glue;
    • water for paste;
    • colored paper;
    • scissors;
    • braid or rope;
    • sheet of cardboard.

    Step-by-step instruction:

    Papier-mâché planets

    Earth and Moon

    Prepare materials:

    • inflatable ball (round);
    • a bucket of PVA glue;
    • brush;
    • newspaper;
    • toilet paper;
    • a set of gouache paints;
    • plasticine (to the moon).

    Phased execution:

    To create the moon use the same way of doing the job. Make the craters plasticine, roll in the form of sausages and lay out in circles. Glue all the toilet parts over again. paper and dry. Paint with silver gouache, top with yellow paints:

    Saturn

    The above steps are suitable for round planets, Earth and Venus. In this step by step master class we will make Saturn, and he with rings.

    Make a spherical base in the same way:

    Draw a ring on the cardboard. Draw rectangles inside this shape, their size is 4 cm. Cut out. Attach the workpiece with adhesive tape to the rectangles from the inside. Glue tissue paper on top so that the tape is not visible:

    Saturn is ready. We make lunar craters, for this we twist pieces of newspaper and wrap them in rings:

    Cover the craters with tissue paper. What the planet will look like depends on what you can do and how you try. Alternatively, paint the surface in the form of a landscape using the map and books. This does not mean that you need to exactly transfer to the layout every country and island. Draw a simple general view. In your work, use acrylic paints, depict the continents with different shades of green, the oceans are blue-blue. Circle the contours of the continents with a felt-tip pen.

    Draw Saturn in the form of mixing layers of gas. Where the borders of yellow and orange paint are, blur. Color the rings in bright purple. Draw the moon in shades of gray. Make the middle of the craters darker. A dry brush creates a variegated effect. By sprinkling glitter on the surface, depict moon dust.

    DIY papier-mâché balls

    Base-ball for DIY crafts. A photo

    If you love creating with your own hands, so why not make a base ball for crafts. These papier-mâché balls can be used to create Christmas tree balls, decorate them with newspaper tubes, or use to create wood.

    To create a papier-mâché base ball, you will need:

    Round base, for example, a foam ball or a ball of the desired diameter,

    Newspapers + PVA glue

    Polyethylene,

    Stationery knife

    Masking tape

    To create a Christmas tree toy: golden paint, hot glue, bows with a ribbon

    Papier-mâché balls step by step:

    The first step is to take a styrofoam ball and wrap it in plastic wrap.

    Tear the newspaper into small pieces, dip them in glue and start gluing one by one to the ball, overlapping each other. Apply the first layer without using glue (newspaper + water). Thus, it will be easier to remove it from the base. You need to make several layers of newspaper, then wait until they are completely dry.

    After the ball is completely dry, you need to make an incision with a clerical knife and pull out the foam base.

    Roll up the newspapers and fill the balloon with them. The joints must be sealed with masking tape. On top you need to put several more layers of pieces of newspaper dipped in PVA glue. Leave the ball to dry completely.

    The papier-mâché ball base is ready! It remains to decide what you will use it for.

    You can make a Christmas tree toy out of it, for which you need to decorate it with something. For example, you can twist the tubes from newspapers, which are usually used when weaving baskets.

    Screw the tube onto the pencil and glue it to the ball using hot glue. Continue to wrap the ball, building up the tubes. Paint with gold spray paint and top with varnish.

    Decorate the finished ball at your discretion with ribbons, ribbon and bows.

    Master class with step by step photos. "New Year's balloon"

    Decoration for the room (home, classroom). Papier-mâché technique and decoupage.

    Author: Nesmelova Irina Valerievna. additional education teacher. City Railway MBOU DOD DDT.
    Nomination: The best handicraft workshop.
    The purpose of the master class: the creation of useful things from waste material.
    The work is designed for children 6-15 years old, teachers, educators, parents.
    Master class objectives:
    - teach techniques for working with waste material;
    - develop individual creativity, artistic taste;
    - to bring up diligence, accuracy, desire to create gifts with your own hands.
    The purpose of the master class:
    - Make a beautiful and interesting interior decoration.

    The balloon can be decorated in accordance with any other holiday, not only " New Year". For example, on "March 8" the balloon can be decorated with flowers, for Easter with colorful eggs.
    For work you will need:

    1. Newspapers.
    2. Adhesive for paper wallpaper.
    3. An inflatable ball.
    4. Satin ribbons 1 m each 2 cm wide.
    5. UHU glue is universal. Or "Moment" glue, but then it is imperative to ventilate the room after using it.
    6. Dense paint: facade or acrylic. Or mix the gouache with PVA glue.
    7. A small box with sides 10-15 cm for the balloon basket.

    8. Colored paper.
    9. Scissors.
    10. Ruler.
    11. A simple pencil.
    12. Brush number 8.
    13. You can use a curly hole punch for decoration.
    14. Sequins.
    15. Printed inscription with "New Year!" or lettering for any other holiday.
    16. Glue stick.
    The work is done in 2 stages.
    Stage 1.
    Inflate an inflatable ball. Dilute wallpaper glue by filling the glue flakes with water in accordance with the instructions. You will need a small amount of glue, about 0.5 liters.
    Tear the newspapers into pieces of 2-4 cm. Since it is harmful to breathe paper dust, you can wet the newspapers or wear a mask.

    Grease the ball with a fat cream. We begin to stick around the ball with wet pieces of newspaper. The first layer of newspaper scraps comes without glue. Then we grease the surface of the ball with wallpaper glue and stick on the next layer. Thus, you need to apply 5-6 layers. We are waiting for the ball to dry. This takes about 2-3 days depending on the humidity in the room.
    Stage 2.
    Making a basket for a balloon.

    We take a box of a suitable size, it can be a box for cream or for sweets, a box for Rafaello sweets is well suited. The box must be pasted over with colored paper.

    To do this, we measure its sides with a ruler and transfer the measurements to colored paper. Cut out and glue on all sides and on the bottom of the box. It turns out like this.

    We decorate the box with figures cut out using a curly hole punch, if you have one. If you don't have a hole punch, you can cut out small snowflakes with scissors. We paste the inscription "Happy New Year!", Printed on the printer.
    It turns out like this.

    Then we take our balloon and paint it with paint. It can be gouache mixed with PVA glue. You can use facade paint (I bought it at the Leroy Merlin building hypermarket).

    We take two colors. I took white and blue. We make markings with white, divide the ball into sectors and paint over. Let the paint dry. You can apply another coat of paint if newspapers are visible somewhere.
    When the paint on the ball is dry. We decorate it using the Decoupage technique. To do this, we need napkins with a New Year theme. It is necessary to cut off the edges of the napkin so that only the drawing remains. It looks like this.

    We smear with wallpaper glue the place where we are going to glue the picture, glue it, smear it again with glue on top. Sprinkle glitter around the edges, so the ball will be even more New Year's.

    You can stick snowflakes made with a curly hole punch. Or cut out small snowflakes with scissors.
    When the glue dries, glue the "slings" from the satin ribbon. We measure the length of the ribbon in such a way that there is a margin in order to tie the ends of the ribbons to the basket, approximately the length of the ribbon will be 100-120 cm, depending on the size of the ball.

    We glue the tapes crosswise to the ball with UHU or Moment glue.
    It turns out like this.

    After the glue has dried (about 30 minutes), the basket can be attached to the ends of the tapes. It can be tied or glued with UHU glue.

    We sew on a rope to hang our ball.

    You can make a passenger. We made Santa Claus out of salt dough.
    Here is the result.

    Could be so:

    The ball is a shape that is easy to use for decoration. But the ball itself can be made from, which is quite within the power of even a novice master. So, we present you a master class in which it is described in sufficient detail how to make a papier mache ball.

    First of all, we prepare all the attributes necessary for work. These are, of course, old newspapers, paste, a balloon and a paintbrush.

    In this master class, we will not waste time describing the preparation of paste, which is available in our other lessons. But it should be prepared before starting the whole process.

    The next step will be the preparation of the main material, that is, pieces of paper that can be cut with scissors or torn with your hands into strips two and a half centimeters wide.

    Now you need to inflate the balloon to the size that the planned papier mâché balloon should have.

    We begin to glue the inflated balloon with strips of newspaper, soaking them first in the paste.

    It should be reminded or warned (beginners) that after the paper is wet in the paste, you should use your fingers to remove excess liquid from it before sticking the strips on the base.

    After this procedure, the newspaper strip can already be glued to the ball, while carefully straightening all the folds, which is recommended to be done with a brush. The more carefully the surface of the newspaper is smoothed, the smoother the finished product will be.

    Thus, cover the entire surface of the ball and leave it to dry completely.

    When the product is completely dry, the ball inside should be burst with a needle and carefully pulled out through a small hole. This hole must be thought out in advance when pasting the ball.

    In the event that the ball should turn out white, then instead of newspapers, it is recommended to use white paper. If the ball is still made of newspaper strips, then after drying it can be covered with white acrylic.

    Christmas ball - papier-mache(for decoration groups)

    To make such balls, you will need:

    Material:

    newsprint, thin white paper, balloon (thick, water, paste, a set of colored paper, colored foil (you can from sweets, scissors, threads, a set of colored paper, foil.

    Stroke work:

    We tear the white paper into strips, and then into squares (about 2x2, if the pieces of paper are large, then it is not very convenient to glue. Put the torn paper in a container.

    We do the same with newsprint, put it in another container (for convenience).

    We inflate the balloon to the size you need, tie it up very well so that it does not go down.

    We put the ball on a stand (you can put it on a glass, you can glue it by weight, as you like.

    We put pieces of newsprint in water, you can dip one piece at a time and put it on a ball, try not to skip. The whole ball was covered with paper, the first layer was obtained.

    On the first layer we will apply the second layer, only on the paste and white pieces, then again a newspaper layer, and alternate, we glue everything on the paste (I glue about 8-10 layers)

    We leave the ball to dry, where it does not interfere, for three days.

    The ball is dry, we begin to decorate. Everyone can decorate in their own way. I decorated balls multi-colored triangles, which I cut in advance.

    I pasted smaller foil triangles on large triangles (so that the ball is beautiful, new year, it is better to glue the foil on glue "Moment".

    The ball is ready! To hang it, you need to tie a thread where the ball was tied.
