How to make foosball out of paper. DIY football

A couple of months ago, it was decided to make a table for playing table football out of wood and Aliexpress. 9 items were purchased from 5 sellers. There are a lot of letters and photos under the cut, about how I got to this point, and what came of it.

At one of the youth drunks in a rented cottage, instead of the traditional billiards, the hosts put on table football. I was hooked, and I spent the whole night at the table, forgetting about the get-together and getting enough punches for it. Over time, the desire took shape in confidence, and since the place for installation was found in the attic, from which it was decided to make a recreation room with football and air hockey (Can be seen in the background of the finished product).

In the vastness of a well-known store, quite a lot of goods on this topic were found. In terms of size, everything was taken at random, and in the end I was fortunately right. In stock on Ali, there are several standard sizes of goods, which differ in the thickness of the bar on which they will wear. I tried to find information, which is better and more correct, but I could not. The choice fell on 5/8 inches, that is, 16 mm in Russian.

    Total purchased:

Excellent players, they sat on the pipe perfectly and tightly. However, the screw hole is designed for 4 mm, on the back side there is a 6-sided groove for the nut, the usual 4 mm nut dangles there. A 5 mm nut fits perfectly there. (It is possible that you can find oversized 4 mm nuts on sale, but I never saw such nuts)... The problem was solved - a 5 mm nut was placed under the 4 mm nut, since the height made it possible to do this so that nothing would stick out or get in the way from the outside.

With the handles, everything went without problems. They do not slip in the hand, they sit tight. The hole is the full length of the handle, so it does not bend to the sides.

Turned out to be the most problematic part with the barbells, but I'll tell you that below.

They work like springs. With a sharp jolt, the bar can bounce off the walls 2 times.

The same problem as with the figures of football players, I had to put 5 mm nuts. Everything else is fine.

Things are good. They protect perfectly. Once I got a barbell on my arm without a plug, I don't take them off again.

They count correctly. I did not notice any discrepancies :). Chosen solely for reasons of low price.

It turned out very well with the balls. Having read about the types of football balls, I decided to order both types. White plastic ones, they jump perfectly, there is practically no friction, but they turned out to be too small, and now they are a dead weight.
The cork jump is noticeably weaker and very dull, and plus they are not yet properly polished, but already fit well in size, and you can play with them. However, the seller turned out to be generous and put 3 more purple plastic balls in addition to them, and they turned out to be the best. Slightly smaller than cork, but due to the fact that plastic is very convenient to play with.

I will describe the assembly process, focusing on the most memorable moments.
Passable blueprints were found somewhere on the Internet. He began to make on them, then moved on to independent calculations, since the assembly methods there were ancient, like those of a caveman. The thickest plywood I could find in stock in my city was used. It was fastened with corners. The table was glued with HPL plastic purchased from furniture makers. Purchased by roll. In the background of the photos you can see the air hockey table, which I make from the remaining piece of HPL plastic. (I also took washers and bats on Ali, I will write a review as I finish)... Cut out a stencil of borders on a protective film, and painted with a spray can. There were certain difficulties with the internal structure of the gate, I had to break my head. This was all done before the arrival of the players themselves. It only remained to wait for these little people.

Bearings and footballers came. And then the fun began. I knew what I was going for, I decided to buy barbells. 16 mm chrome pipes are sold in everyday life as furniture fittings for the kitchen. They were bought in a furniture store. Only furniture makers do not have much difference from the thickness of the walls of these pipes, they will not suffer from an imperfectly circular section of the pipe, and even the fact that their pipes are not 16 mm at all, but from 15.8 mm to 16.1 mm in diameter, they also do not particularly care ... So the first purchased pipes were sent to the basement, where everything that is a pity to throw out is stored, and a search for new, more suitable ones began. This turned out to be a daunting task. Thick-walled pipes (1.5 mm or more) only on order with an expectation of 2 weeks, and not the fact that they will be 100% round and exactly 16 mm. The price did not appeal either.
As a result, 60 meters of pipe was bought in bulk (for the price they came to me the same way as 8 meters of pipe from 1 batch, i.e. about 2 tr.)... The walls were 0.9 mm thick, the diameter was ideal for football players, the pipes were round, with a small bulging seam. Subsequently, the thickness of the walls was not enough, the bar of the defenders (the longest) with a sharp attack from the extreme extended position, it was bent and clamped in the bearing. Epoxy was poured into the pipes, which gave them both a pleasant weight and the rigidity I needed so much.
Bearings are a separate topic. I bored them at least 5 times, because I was afraid to take off too much. Apparently it was the bearings that were made according to all the canons of metric systems, and were exactly 15.8 mm, which corresponds to 5/8 inches. The pipes were also made by the Chinese, and some of the samples I selected reached 16.2 mm in diameter. But he wasted it, smeared it with silicone grease, and now they drive like clockwork.
I also suffered with the corners of the table. After watching the Internet, diagonal cuts were made in the table at the corners, and the corners were raised by 5-7 mm so that the ball would roll out of the corner back to the players. On the same Internet I read that it would be nice to make a cut along the side wall, but it seemed to me an unnecessary perversion and everything remained as it is. As a result, the shock absorber turned out to be a little thicker than we would like, and if the ball is at the wall, then it is unrealistic to pick it up from there by a player of the same line. We have to pass to the opponent. Everything is solved by installing a small side.
I spent about 2 weeks on everything, since I have enough free time. Collected, sanded, painted. I play with my younger sister. Happy as an elephant.

A little photo of the assembly process

    And what came of it

In conclusion, I can say that I am satisfied with all the products. In Russian online stores, everything is much more expensive, but something is not at all. It's nice to play. At home, everyone is happy. After the final assembly, the understanding came that everything had to be done on a metal frame. Would avoid many problems with backlash and wood bending (I think I will install a frame made of square pipes from below in the near future, to give a pleasant weight and torsional rigidity)... If you have time, desire and hands, and most importantly where to put, then I advise.
P.S .: I don't see any point in fully considering the assembly with all the subtleties, sizes and types of connections. This is not a specialized forum for this. Reviewed a product purchased on Ali and shown that it makes an excellent kicker for the home.

P.P.S .: The photo shows a lot of jambs of the assembly and my curvature, but please refrain from advice on how you could do better.

Board sports games are a long-standing hobby that is equally interesting for both children and adults. Table football is one of such versatile and addictive games. And by the way, it would be wrong to look down on this "fun" - such a sports game develops well the eye and accuracy of movements, teaches the ability to play in a team and perform actions coordinated with it.

The playing field is a box, in the walls of which metal rods are fixed, which can rotate and move in a horizontal direction, from one edge of the field to the other. Figures of football players are fixed on the bars, painted in different team colors and located in a certain order on the field. There are gates at the edges of the field.

The box is made of hardwood, the bottom is made of durable plywood. The finished playing field is painted with green paint, like grass, and white marks are applied. Figures of players are cut out of plywood with a thickness of 10-12 mm and are also painted in the desired colors. Rods (about 8 mm in diameter) are made of iron, copper or brass and figurines of football players are attached using metal rivets. It is better to put small wooden balls on the ends of the rods so as not to get scratched during the game.

To prevent the ball-ball from rolling into the corners of the box, where the goalkeeper's figure does not reach, these places are fenced off with a bar or any other barrier element.

The base of the game (see fig.) Is plywood with dimensions 1160x580x20 mm. Side walls 160 mm high are also made from it. Holes are drilled in the walls, through which rods will be threaded, "controlling" the players. The structure is held together with glue and screws, and the corners are reinforced with metal squares. To prevent the ball from lingering in the corners, glue triangular pieces into them.

Make the rods for the game to which the figures of the athletes are attached from a thin metal tube Ø 10 mm. Handles for them can be made of wood or plastic tubes with an inner Ø 10 mm can be used.

The holes in the side walls for the rods are made according to their outer diameter. On the opposite wall for each rod, a support is attached: a flange with a soldered tube into which the rod will slide.

    A - playing field; B - control rod with support: 1 - support, 2 - metal plate, 3 - tube, 4 - pin, 5 - plastic sleeve. 6 - felt ring, 7 - stop ring; B - placement of players: 1 - goalkeeper line, 2 - defenders, 3 - midfielders, 4 - forwards. X is the distance of the longitudinal movement of the rod.

Each rod has a plastic stop ring; the distance between it and the wall will determine the lateral movement of this row of players.

Make the figures of football players from plywood 5 mm thick and attach them to the rods with M3 bolts.

The gate can be made of iron or gauge wire Ø2 mm and wire mesh.

The soccer ball is a wooden, rubber or plastic ball Ø 25-30 mm.

I could not resist and bought a big kicker “Tabletop Football” at a very tempting price in the Lenta hypermarket. A beautifully made gaming table in bright colorful packaging was a gift for February 23rd. The design of the game will suit the needs of novice kicker players. In addition, this game is an excellent excuse for friends to get together for an interesting and exciting pastime. The gaming table is supplied partially assembled. The final installation includes several steps and is done by hand. Detailed step-by-step instruction with photo and video below.

DIY assembly instructions for board game kicker

Tabletop Football is designed for stationary installation on the playing table or on the floor. This soccer model from TableTop features six 3-player gaming handles. For more convenience, the playground is installed on the legs, making it convenient to play this table football even on the floor. Table football is delivered unassembled. Screwdriver wrench assembly tool included. Assembling a kicker does not require any special knowledge. Before assembly, we remove a large bag with parts from the packaging box and check the completeness. The package should contain:

    1. Six barbells with Chinese players (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 and T6)
    2. Two short sides with gates (E1)
    3. Two long panels (E2)
    4. Playing field with artificial turf (E3)
    5. Two scoreboards for counting goals scored (E4)
    6. Four clamps for fixing the scoreboard (E5)
    7. Four legs (E6)
    8. 12 shock absorbing washers (A1)
    9. Six handles (A2)
    10. Six rod caps (A3)
    11. Eight self-tapping screws with a washer for fastening strips (B1)
    12. Eight screws with washer and nut for attaching the legs (B2)
    13. Six self-tapping screws for attaching the handles to the rods (B3)
    14. Two soccer balls
    15. Allen key - Phillips screwdriver

Assembling a kicker involves several steps.

Step 1. Using the B1 screws with our own hands, we connect together the two short sides of E2 and the long panel E1. We tighten the screws with a hex key. The grooves of the sides and the panel must be inside and aligned with the edges. Do not put too much effort in order not to turn the self-tapping screw (panels are made of MDF).

Step 2. Insert the playing field E3 into the grooves of the assembled frame.

    Fixing the bar

Step 3. Install the A1 damping washers on the T1-T6 rods. See the photo.

Step 4. Install the rods with the players into the holes of the E2 panel. Please refer to the attached photos. The Chinese players of each team must face the opponent.

Step 5. Attach the second long panel E2 to the frame. Please note - the edges of the playing field must be in the grooves.

Step 6. Install the scoreboard. Watch the video.

Step 7. On the edges of the rods without holes, install the protective caps A3. See photos and videos.

Cushion washer Panels assembled Installing the caps

Step 8. We consistently fix the A2 handles on the edges of the rods with holes using the B3 screws.

Step 9. We successively install the legs E6, using two supplied screws B2. Pay attention - the end of the leg should fit snugly against the plane of the playing field. See the photo.

Football the field is very simple to make. You need cardboard, white paper, scissors, a pencil, a ruler, glue and tape.

    Still need a big box.

We make gates from small boxes and nets.

    Making the markup

We glue it with white stripes.

We fit football box with duct tape for strength and smoothness.

    Here is such a beauty.

And here's how you can use:

    1. Finger football.

You can play from 4 to 6 players: 2 goalkeepers, others footballers... Play only with your index and middle fingers (like two legs football player) ... You can take a rubber ball. The motor skills of the hand and fingers are well developed.

Boys and girls played with their fingers and scored goals with pleasure.

    2. Respiratory football.

You can play from 2 to 4 players. Make a ball out of paper (papier-mache can be used)... With the help of breathing from the middle of the field, blow the ball into the goal. Who is more for a time or up to a certain amount.

    3. Puppet football.

Play with teams too. Make small toys for the players. Can also be made from natural material, from plasticine, from clay players football team.

I wish you all success in your work!
