Assassin Pirates's Creed IV Black Flag. Виртуальный герой Чарльз Вейн

Although the golden age of piracy ended more than 250 years ago, stories about naval adventurers are as interesting today as they were in times. And if they inspired writers to create adventure novels then, today films and computer games are made about brave filibusters. For example, the pirate Charles Wayne became both the hero of the series and was embodied in the virtual world of Assassins Creed 4.

    Who is he?

The question is quite natural, since I want to know who the real sea robber Charles Wayne was and how he deserved such attention to his person.

So, in those days, the documents were not good enough, so the date of birth of this person is unknown. This is believed to have happened around 1680. About his childhood and how he put himself outside the law, no information has been preserved either.

    "Career"

For the first time, the inhabitants of the New World started talking about Charles Wayne in 1716, after he, together with his comrades, attacked Spanish ships that were raising silver from their galleons to the surface, which had recently sunk off the coast during a terrible hurricane. After a brutal slaughter by pirates, sailors from different countries began to feel horror when the brigantine "Ranger" appeared on the horizon, which became the flagship of the robber.

Charles Wayne knew how to make friends and choose associates, and his quartermasters at different times were famous pirates and Edward England. The unquestioning obedience of such notorious thugs only further raised the authority of the captain of the brigantine "Ranger" among adventurers of all stripes who fled to the colony, fleeing the rope that awaited them in their homeland.

When, during the so-called War of the Spanish Succession, the English fleet and its command were forced to leave their base and fort in New Providence in the Bahamas, it was occupied by sea robbers. Wayne was one of the most influential among them. For several years, his crew carried out bloody attacks on merchant ships and residents of coastal cities. After three years of a successful "career", the pirate was captured. The trial was postponed for various reasons, but in 1721 he was still executed by hanging at Gallows Point, Jamaica.

    Character Charles Wayne: "Black Sails"

The series premiered on January 25, 2014 and continues to air in many countries to this day. Its plot is, in a sense, a prequel to the famous work of Robert Stevenson "Treasure Island". Charles Wayne is represented there as the captain and steward of a fort on New Providence Island.

The role of the pirate was played by an American actor. Many viewers are crazy about the image of the villain he created, whom the fair sex adores.

The actor's track record mainly includes major and minor roles in the series. In addition to his work in Black Sails, his performance in the soap opera Shameless has earned critical praise.

    The plot of the series

The pirate television saga Black Sails takes place on New Providence Island in 1715.

After the departure of the British, it became a base for sea robbers of all stripes. From time to time, the daughter of an important colonial official, Eleanor Guthrie, comes there, who buys stolen goods from pirates for subsequent resale.

The most powerful person in New Providence is Captain Flint. He will be distinguished by cruelty and cunning, as well as the ability to weave intrigues. Together with Eleanor, the pirate develops a plan to create an independent state on the island that does not obey. For this, Flint needs to capture a Spanish galleon carrying untold treasures. The rest of the captains of Fort New Providence, including Charles Wayne, help him, and sometimes enter into a fierce confrontation with him. He is not always inclined to be on the sidelines, so he is waiting for an opportunity to declare himself.

According to the authors of the picture, some episodes of the series were filmed based on the real "exploits" of Flint, Wayne and the like. True, they were embellished a little and added special effects. By the way, the work of those members of the Black Sails film crew, who were involved in ensuring the entertainment of the series, did not go unnoticed by specialists. Specifically, the film received four Emmy nominations and won two of them: Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects, and Excellent Sound Editing.

    Virtual Hero Charles Wayne

Assassins Creed 4 is a computer game developed by Ubisoft Montreal. One of her heroes is none other than the pirate Wayne. The game takes place in the early 18th century in the West Indies. In the story, the pirate Charles Wayne is captured by the British, what happens to him next depends on the player who chooses him as a member of his team.

Now you know who the real Charles Wayne is, and you can appreciate the fantasy of the authors of the series "Black Sails" and the game Assassins Creed 4.

After the other day, Jean Gessdon is the creative director of the project gave a lot of interesting details about the future game. The main character in the story will be Edward Kenway, a pirate and assassin, who was born at the end of the 17th century. His father was English and his mother was Welsh, and a few years after the birth of the child, the family moved to Bristol. It was here, in the largest port city in the south of England, that Edward truly fell in love with the sea and for the first time felt the craving for incredible adventure ...

The young man did not succeed in achieving any significant success in life, and therefore in 1712 Kenway, leaving his wife Carolyn Scott, enlisted on the ship of the famous privateer Benjamin Hornigold.

As you know, privateers (they are privateers or corsairs) are not ordinary pirates, because they could quite easily rob enemy ships (patents were even issued for this activity). However, when the Utrecht Peace Treaty was signed (in 1713), it significantly complicated the life of such people - in fact, they were left without work.

People who were accustomed to the sea and battles did not want to change their lives, and they did not know how to earn in another way. That is why it happened that in 1715, when 11 galleons carrying gold were caught in a violent storm somewhere in the area of \u200b\u200bmodern Florida, the privates turned into ordinary pirates and began to hunt for carriers of values.

During this period, a large pirate republic was organized in the Bahamas (in the city of Nesso). And it is not surprising that it was from 1715 that Edward Kenway's adventures began, in which you can take part in the process passing the game Assassin's Creed 4.

By the time the action begins Black Flag, Edward has already become a good pirate - he mastered the profession of a sailor and learned how to fight perfectly. Moreover, his main advantage as a fighter is the ability to fight with two hands at once - Kenway can quite safely use two sabers, two pistols or a saber and a pistol at the same time.

It is impossible to figure out at what point Edward Kenway's life pushed him against the Templars (in any case, the FAQ does not answer this question). But somehow it happened, as a result of which a new dynasty of assassins arose, and Edward became the grandfather of Connor, whom we know from.

The game is truly grand - because in it a fascinating life story of a pirate assassin develops against the background of no less interesting historical events. Moreover, the developers of this product made sure that all the facts set out in the game were as accurate as possible.

In addition, the creators Black Flag promised consumers that in the game the pirates will be shown exactly as they were - without undue romanticism and any exaggeration. Well, what came of it, we have to evaluate.

It is interesting that in the game we will have to face not only fictitious, but also real-life personalities - in the process of building his pirate "career" Edward Kenway meets people such as Hornigold, Charles Wayne, Blackbeard, Calico Jack Rackham Bartholomew Roberts and Jack Sparrow (oh, no, I made a reservation, there will be no Sparrow)).

Now let's talk about the gameplay features of the game Assassin's Creed 4... Here, first of all, it should be noted that this product is the first in the series where maritime affairs are not inferior in importance to overland ones. That is, the player will spend the same time both at sea and on land, which will undoubtedly make the game even more interesting and original.

You can surf the seas for your pleasure in free gameplay, and so that this activity does not become boring too quickly, the developers of the game have created the so-called "horizon mode". It allows using a telescope to look for a wide variety of targets - merchant ships that can be attacked, ships of "colleagues" in the craft who need help, whales to hunt ...

Also creators Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag they promise players a very special physics of the sea - thanks to this, it will become much more convenient and interesting to control the ship Jackdaw ("Jackdaw"). In addition, the combat system will be changed - now, in order to shoot truly accurately, you will have to evaluate many parameters: the speed of movement of your ship and the enemy ship, the distance between them, the trajectory of the nucleus, etc.

It is interesting that in the process of passing the game you will be able to “pump” well not only the main character himself, but also his ship - some developers, in this regard, claim that in Black Flag the player will have two protagonists at once - Edward Kenway and his ship "Jackdaw".

With regard to the technical component of the issue under consideration, it should be noted that games Assassin's Creed 4 comes out on new platforms, which makes it even brighter, more entertaining and interesting. So you can safely count on a decent computer version.

In the process of socializing gameplay, developers will make the most of high-quality next-generation consoles. Therefore, even playing in a single company, you can still feel yourself in the company of a million like-minded people. But Desmond, surprisingly, is in the game Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will not be - that is, the creators of the product will still leave some kind of reminder of the existence of this character, but you will never see him as the main character.

    general information

The entire game represents the memories of distant ancestors, relived with the help of a special Animus device. The protagonist experiences all these memories of past centuries in order to synchronize his memory with the memory of his ancestors.

Memories are divided into sequences (parts) and individual events (missions). Almost every mission has additional assignments. If you complete all the orders, then a separate memory area will be synchronized 100%. If this could not be done the first time, then you can always return to the completed mission by entering the menu and selecting the appropriate line.

The main character of Assassin's Creed 4 - Edward Kenway - is a young British man with a "thirst for danger and adventure", who turns from a privateer into a pirate, and soon finds himself drawn into a war between the Assassins and the Templars. It takes place at the dawn of the 18th century (Golden Age of Piracy) on the islands of the Caribbean. The famous pirates Blackbeard and Charles Vane can be found in the game.

While we were shopping, the merchant was already out of sight. To find it, we climb to the top of the high yellow tower. Here at the top on one of the sides you can take a crystal shard. At the top, we carry out the synchronization, we jump down.

    Catch and loot the pickpocket

Downstairs the merchant was robbed by a pickpocket. We run after the thief, we catch him.

Having killed the pickpocket, we take away everything stolen by him. Then we hide from the soldiers.

Returning to the merchant, we follow him to the tavern.

    Beat up the attackers

A scuffle begins in the pub. We beat all the attackers hand-to-hand. After the victory, the guards appear and attack all the instigators of the fight.

To complete the mission completely, you need to leave the area marked in red on the map without being noticed by the soldiers.

    2.2. And my sugar?
Memory 02.… And My Sugar? (Assassin's Creed 4 in Russia)

    Tail the guards

We go after two guards, which are highlighted in yellow. When the guards turn around, we approach ordinary people to merge with the crowd.

The guards will enter the block where non-military people are prohibited from entering. It is better not to climb on the roof, there is also a guard there. We go around such a block in the neighboring yard, waiting for the guards on the other side. We go around the second quarter in the same way.

    Eavesdrop on the conversation

Once on the main road, the guards will slow down and start talking. We need to stay within earshot, but out of their sight. We leave on the square, we see the execution of a man. A captain of Spanish soldiers is participating in the execution. He should have our stolen property.

    Steal the Captain's key

We are waiting for the captain to leave the restricted area for us and begin to walk around the square. At this time, we approach him from behind almost point-blank and imperceptibly rob him (hold down the "E" key).

    Sneak to the fort lockup

The best way to get into the fort is from the open sea. We go to the pier on the right, jump into the water, swim around the fort at a safe distance, swim up to the wall with boards and poles. We climb up the boards and collect a crystal shard on the way. At the top of the fort wall, we crawl along the wall to the left. One of the soldiers is looking ahead, but he will not see us. We follow the minimap when the second more mobile guard leaves, at this time we climb through the fence and quickly run up to the illuminated wooden door to the building. Inside we take our bag with an artifact.

    Meet Stede Bonnet

It remains only to jump back into the water and swim to the pier. There we approach the merchant and give him his bag.

    2.3. Mr. Walpole, I presume?
Memory 03. Mister Walpole, I Presume? (Assassins Creed 4)

We approach the closed gate at the governor's residence. Thanks to our costume, the guards let us inside. We go along the terrace, we meet two Templars practicing in shooting.

    Shoot the targets

Having accepted the invitation, we practice shooting together with the Templars. We just shoot the marked targets, following the instructions.

    Perform various Assassinations

We follow the Templars. We are handed hidden blades on our wrists. Now we are going through training on their use. The first time we just kill the dummy point-blank. The second time, to begin with, we hide in a haystack from behind, and then secretly attack from there. For the third time, we lean against the corner of the building and strike from the corner. In the fourth exercise, we run into the dummy with a running start and pierce with blades. In the fifth, we climb onto the roof of the building, jump on top of any remaining dummy.

    Catch the Sage

After the victory, a new trouble - the prisoner Sage escapes from custody. We run after him on the roofs. Although you can run down the street and catch him when he comes down, this will be easier.

2.5. Figuring out what's going on
Memory 05. Claiming What’s Due (Walkthrough Assassins Creed 4 on pc)

Find the overseer (locate the warden)

We decide to free the Sage, imprisoned in the Templar estate, to receive a greater reward. At night we come to the plantation at the walls of the estate. Silently moving forward, hiding in the bushes. First, it is better to walk along the right edge, bypassing the wooden hut. We approach the stairs to the estate.

Steal the key (loot the key)

We find the guard who has the key to the prison. Remaining in the bushes, we approach the guard closer, whistle (key E) to lure him into the bushes. When the enemy is highlighted in white, simply press the left mouse button for a silent kill.

    Free the Sage

Imperceptibly we approach the doors of the prison and open them. But inside we are ambushed.

The Templars reveal our deception with disguise, and hand us over to a ship with captured pirates.

    2.6. Treasure fleet
Memory 06. The Treasure Fleet (Assassins Creed 4 on xbox)

    Reach your gear

Once on the prison ship, together with the black man, we remove the shackles from our feet and start a riot. The partner approaches the left corner of the door, we stand to the right, whistle, hit the guard who approached.

Free 18 pirates (recruit pirates: 0/18)

Having got up, we see that we are sailing on one of five ships. Each ship has captured pirates, you need to free them. They are displayed on the map with special black icons, we are guided by them. It is not necessary to kill enemies, you can go unnoticed.

    Kill the captain

Having bypassed all the ships with prisoners, we move to a small central ship. On it, we need to kill the captain of this entire fleet. It is better to sneak up on the captain from behind and kill him unnoticed, since in close combat he is much stronger than the main character.

    Escape the fleet

The fastest ship of the flotilla has been captured, now we need to sail away from the rest of the ships on it. First, we sail forward without looking back, since behind us are pursued by much larger ships, capable of destroying us in one salvo.

A killer wave looms ahead. To get as little damage from it as possible, turn our nose towards it and remove all the sails. We are waiting for the wave to pass by. Further on the way we see three tornadoes. We go around the first on the right, while you need not get into the yellow zone shown on the map. Then you need to go directly between the second and third tornado (otherwise it will not work, the wind blows us away to this place). At the end, we pass another big wave and the mission is completed.

Episode 03. Nassau, Bahamas. September 1715

    3.1. This is Captain Tiro
Memory 01. This Tyro Captain (Assassin Creed 4)

    Sail to Abaco Island

We float to the green target. Along the way, you can collect floating boxes with resources, just swim up to them and press the spacebar. Drowning sailors can also be found. More often we look at the map in search of the corresponding icons.

Having sailed to the island, we remove all the sails. To move away from the steering wheel, hold down the "S" key. We jump off the ship and swim to land.

Wild Hunt (hunting wildlife: iguanas 0/2, ocelots 0/2)

On the island, we need to get meat and skins of wild animals. A pair of skins of local lizards - iguanas, and a pair of skins of ocelots, similar to leopards, will be enough.

Before hunting, you can completely clear this small island so that you don't come back here again. There is only one high point, three crystals, a chest, a map and a note in a bottle. To collect crystals, you will first have to climb the neighboring trees, and from them jump to higher ones.

Iguanas are inactive, they are easy to kill even in hand-to-hand combat. But to catch ocelots, you will have to attack by jumping from trees, or sowing in bushes, as in an ambush. Ocelots are lured to whistles just like humans. (If you secretly kill the ocelot with a hidden blade, then in this way we will complete one of the Abstergo tests).

After collecting the necessary animal skins, we enter the crafting menu, create an upgrade clothing: a holster and armbands.

To quickly return to the ship, go to the boat symbol on the map. On the ship we sail further to the destination, we find ourselves in the English settlement of Nassau.

    3.2. New vacancies
Memory 02. Now Hiring (Assassins Creed 4)

    Recruit pirates: 0/15

We go to the tavern, talk with Adeval. We need to free the pirates from captivity. There are four points in the city where there are pirates. We go north, we enter into a fight between pirates and British soldiers. As long as the enemies are not distracted by us, you can silently kill them by running with the left mouse button pressed.

In the center of the city, four guards stand on a hill, they can be bypassed, two more keep captive pirates at gunpoint. We climb into the house, jump off it and kill two soldiers at once in the fall.

In the south of the city, on the second floor, only one soldier holds two pirates. We climb the wall behind the soldier, throw him over the railing down.

In the east of the city, you will have to climb into the fort and save the pirates from there.

    Reach the hanging

Having typed the required number of pirates, we see a new point on the map, there is a public execution of the pirate. We run there, kill the soldiers and free the pirate.

We return to the tavern with a full team.

    3.3. Prizes and robberies
Memory 03. Prizes and Plunder (Assassin Creed 4: Black Flag. Walkthrough)

    Incapacitate a schooner

With a new team we go to sea to engage in pirate fishing. We examine the ships around through the telescope (key "E"), so we can see what resources are on the ship.

We are looking for the nearest small ship and start attacking it with cannons. When the yellow bar of the ship's health disappears, only the red one remains, swim up to the ship at close range and hold down the "S" key, after which the team will start boarding.

We defeat five enemies on an alien ship - the boarding is won. After the victory, we take all its resources from the ship.

Buy hull armor (buy Intermediate hull)

After collecting resources, we sail to the pirate port of Salt Cay, where you can improve your ship. We moor, buy a highlighted improvement in the store.

    3.4. Raise the black flag!
Memory 04. Raise the Black Flag (Assassins Creed 4)

Capture 70 metal (metal plundered: 0/70)

We go to sea again, but now we need metal. We are looking for ships with only this resource.

    Talk to the local officer

We were put on the wanted list. To get rid of a bad reputation, we sail to the port of Salt Cay. There we negotiate with a local officer, and all charges of piracy are dropped from us.

    Buy broadside cannons

In the Salt Cay store we buy another improvement.

    3.5. Sugarcane and its profitability
Memory 05. Sugarcane And Its Yields (Assassins Creed 4)

On the island of Andreas we follow the pirate, he shows us the current target.

    Tail the Agent

We go along the left edge in the bushes. We are waiting for the agent to talk to the soldiers, then we follow him to the coast. We see how the agent sits on the ship. Immediately after that, in 40 seconds, we run to our ship. The fastest way is to jump from the palm tree, run along the wooden wall in the water, leading directly to the ship.

    Tail the agent's ship

On our ship we chase the agent's ship. Fog has descended on the sea, so you can go unnoticed, you just need not to swim into the enemy's visibility zones (marked on the map in yellow). The agent lands on the island, we land there, but a little to the right.

Listen to the conversation (eavesdrop on the conversation)

In 40 seconds on foot we run to the agent who went on land. We follow him, hiding in the bushes and reed fields. We eavesdrop on the conversation to the end. Find out where the resources of the Cat Island plantation are stored.

    Locate the key holder

Now you can act on your own. We imperceptibly walk through the fields, turn on the eagle's vision to find a guard carrying a key.

    Loot the warehouse

We take away the key from the guard, discreetly approach the entrance to the warehouse. Our sailors take out all the useful resources from the warehouse.

    3.6. Self defense
Memory 06. Proper Defenses (Assassins Creed 4)

Locate the "EI Acrca Del Maestro"

On the island of the Salt Lagoon, talk to the pirates. We got on the trail of one of the Templars. He sails on a large Manowar-class ship. It is still pointless to attack him, but you can trace his path. We swim in the sea, looking for the largest ship through the telescope.

    Tail the ship

Imperceptibly we sail after Manovar, while we do not fall into the zone of visibility of the enemies, marked in yellow on the map.

    Avoid the mortar fire

Our pirate allies are attacking from the flanks. We catch up with the ship and also try to attack. But the giant ship begins to fire mortars at us. When it is guided, yellow circles appear on the water, we quickly float away to the side so as not to get serious damage.

Avoid mortar shots (sink the Spanish ships: 0/8)

Eight small schooners are sailing to help the Manovar. We need to destroy all these small ships.

All of the schooners were sunk, but the main ship left and docked off the island of Great Inagua. We cannot enter the port after him.

    3.7. Lonely psycho
Memory 07. A Single Madman (Assassins Creed 4)

    Reach the jungle's exit

We will sail to the southern coast of the Great Inagua island. Alone we disembark on the shore, climb up the stone structures. First, we grab the ledges. A little higher you will have to jump on wooden poles over an abyss and climb suspended stairs. One of the bridges falls off right under our feet, but we still manage to climb up.

We enter the jungle. There is a narrow path, patrolled by many soldiers. We hide in the bushes, run from above along the branches, and just in time we will attack from behind on the gaping enemies. At the checkpoint with a sniper, it is better to pass unnoticed to the left through the bushes. So we get to the settlement.

There are a lot of guards in the village, you can eliminate them one by one for a very long time. But you can go unnoticed faster: we make our way to the center of the village, set fire to a barrel of gunpowder, run back further away. The barrel will explode, all the soldiers of the village will run to the explosion. At this time, we run forward along the edge of the village, while everyone is distracted and no one sees.

We get to the water. You can secretly swim underwater so as not to get caught by the guards. We take away on a huge ship from the far side. On the deck, we silently eliminate the guards one by one. Last but not least, we kill Templar Du Cass in a black hat, specializing in firearms.

    3.8. Abstergo. Our days
Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag Walkthrough

We leave the animus, we return to real life. We follow the secretary Melanie into the elevator. We rise to the upper floor, talk with the boss Olivier.

We go down the elevator. An IT department employee invites us to get secret files from computers of other Abstergo employees through headphones. We get to the marked computer.

To crack the code, we perform a small puzzle: draw a line along the grooves on the surface of the ball; the line stops only when it hits a dead end; choose a path for the line so that it follows any green groove.

After hacking the computer, we get a video about the death of Desmond Miles, the previous hero of the game. All neighboring computers can be hacked in the room to get additional content.

We also notice that there are secret items in the Abstergo office in the form of white stickers with barcodes (Sticky Note). If possible, we find and collect them.

We go down to the lower floor, we talk with a specialist from the IT department. We return to our workplace.

Episode 04. Great Inagua. March 1716

    4.1. Old bay
Memory 01. The Old Cove (Assassins Creed IV)

    Follow James Kidd

We follow Kidd through the jungle, we enter the cave. Inside we find an ancient Mayan stele. We climb to the top of the stone statue.

We solve the puzzle: manage the drawn lines and shapes, move and rotate this drawing, trying to match it with the location of real objects. In this case, move the circle to the round pillar, then rotate the drawing to place two squares directly under the square stones.

Having solved the riddle, we find the place where the treasure is buried. Digging up a Mayan artifact. James gives us a map showing the location of all such Mayan monuments.

We follow Kidd further, we find the key of the Templars. We go through the secret cave into the captured Templar mansion. Inside we find a map of the approximate location of all the assassins in this region. We use the key on the grate, behind which hangs a skeleton in Templar armor (Templar armor). You need to find four more keys to get this costume.

    Meet with James Kidd

Having studied the estate, we assign it to ourselves. Now you can come back here and improve this place. We go out into the street, we run to the coast to talk to Kidd. He wants to go to one of the assassins' lairs.

    4.2. Nothing is true
Memory 02. Nothing is True ... (Assassins Creed IV)

Enter the captain's cabin (reach the captain's cabin)

We speak with Adeval. We go to our cabin, inside it we study the map. (This requires a connection to the game server). We skip this part of the training, leave the cabin. We swim to the southwest corner of the global map, there we take the main mission.

    Find James Kidd

We disembark on the tropical coast of Tulum. Assassins live here. They are more attentive than ordinary soldiers, so you should be careful. And this is the first really difficult mission: here you need to go unnoticed without fail. You cannot kill enemies, only put them to sleep or stun. If we are noticed, the mission will fail.

We pass along the coast, stunning assassins from the bushes.

In the jungle we go out into the clearing. Below are four assassins, but only one girl walks from side to side, the rest are motionless. We sit in the bushes, wait for the girl to go to the right, at this time we run to the left, climb onto the ledge. There are three assassins on the hill. Hiding in the bushes, we eliminate them by attacking from behind. Near the cliff we attack from behind on the fourth assassin.

(You can first hold down the left button, and then approach the enemy, it will be more convenient). (When attacking from behind, you cannot press the run button, otherwise the hero will not strangle the enemy, but will strike loudly, after which they will notice us).

From here we jump diagonally to the next hill with a stone arch. We wait until the mobile enemy moves away further, and the sniper on the next platform turns away, after that we imperceptibly stun the girl near the bushes, and then immediately the mobile enemy at the cliff. If the sniper noticed, you can have time to hide behind the tree in front.

We wait for the sniper to turn away, at this time we quickly run forward, jump over the branches, jump onto the platform, creep up from behind and eliminate the sniper. Now there are only three enemies left in front on the hill, we go around them through the bushes on the right. At the top of the hill at the gate of the tomb we meet Dames Kidd.

Assassins suddenly attack from behind, but do not kill. It turns out Kidd is part of the Assassin Brotherhood. We exchange information with them, and then we enter the interior of the Mayan tomb.

    4.3. Sage's Buried Secret
Memory 03. The Sage's Buried Secret (Assassins Creed IV)

    Follow James Kidd

Inside we jump over the obstacles after Kidd. When the bridge collapses, we turn left, climb onto the wall and crawl forward along the vines. Then we swim under water in underground caves. We reach the temple, we climb to its top.

    Solve the statue puzzle

At the top we see a circle with three colored sections and statues on them. You need to place the statues on sectors of the corresponding colors. We approach the wheel in the center, turn the stones so that the blue statue is at the left column. We move away from the wheel, climb onto the left column, stand on the colorless statue to the left. From this, the blue statue will rise to the top. We twist the stones, we bring the blue sector under the blue statue. We climb the column to the blue statue, it descends. Then we raise the red statue in the same way, put the red and green statues in place.

Having solved the puzzle, we see a statue of a human head, very similar to the head of the pirate Sage.

    4.4. Overflow and excess
Memory 04. Overrun And Outnumbered (Assassins Creed IV)

    Free the prisoners: 0/14

At the exit from the temple, we see that we are surrounded by British soldiers. We get a new weapon from the assassin - dart tube (blowpipe).

Enemies hold hostages in small groups of one, two assassins. We consistently bypass all points on the map, kill enemies. By freeing the assassins, we replenish the ammunition of the darts, so you can use them very often.

After defeating the soldiers, we quickly move to Nassau. We speak with Kidd, he talks about the activities of the Assassins, he also shows us how to get additional missions - murder contracts... Also on the island underground you can see a golden door, to open which you need to find all the Mayan artifacts.

Date of Birth: 1680, Bristol, England

Edward was born in or around Bristol and went to sea early, most likely as a teenager. It is also believed that he arrived in West Indies shortly after leaving England.

    Carier start
Teach's childhood years ended very quickly and at the age of 12 he entered the service of a cabin boy in the Royal Navy. Edward Teach probably fought in the War of the Spanish Succession (also known as the War of Queen Anne) as a privatier - a long struggle between all the empires of Europe, where Great Britain led one side and Spain and France the other.
But after the signing of the Utrecht Agreement, which put an end to the European strife in 1713, Teach and his associates found themselves far from home without business and money. They became pirates to secure their livelihood. In recent years, Teach became friends with Captain Benjamin Hornigold and soon joined his team as quartermaster. This happened between the end of 1714 and the beginning of 1716.
As part of the Hornigold squadron, and then independently, he robbed mainly French and Spanish ships. He used Jamaica, Virginia and North Carolina as a place of sale for the loot. The last settlement became his main rear base.
In November 1717, Teach's sloops attacked and, after a fleeting battle, captured a large French ship near the island of Saint Vincent. At this point, Blackbeard's fleet consisted of two sloops: one with 12 guns and 120 crew members, the other with 8 guns and 30 crew members. The hijacked ship was the slaver sloop La Concorde, sailing to Martinique under the command of Captain Dosset.
Teach was not inferior to his captain either in the ability to plunder or in the ability to manage the process of plunder. In the same year, Hornigold was removed from office and Teach was apparently unanimously chosen as the new captain. As an additional "prize", the ship "La Concorde" - the flagship of the pirate squadron, also went to Teach. The ship became known as Queen Anne's Revenge, and between 1717 and 1718 became a famous pirate.

    "Black beard"
In 1717, the new governor of the Bahamas Woods Rogers announced the beginning of a merciless fight against piracy. Hornigold with part of his team decided to surrender to the mercy of the British authorities and receive the amnesty promised by royal decree. Teach refused to give up his craft and raised a black flag over Queen Anne's Revenge, thus finally placing himself outside the law.
Teach attacked all the oncoming merchant ships, traveling along the Lesser Antilles. In the vicinity of St. Vincent Island, pirates hijacked a large English merchant ship under the command of Christophe Taylor. Blackbeard liked to strike terror into his enemies. It was rumored that during the battle he wove fuses into his beard and, in puffs of smoke, like Satan from the underworld, burst into the ranks of the enemy. Taking everything that was of value, the pirates landed the team on the island, and the ship itself was set on fire. In December 1717, Teach's fleet left Puerto Rico towards the Gulf of Samana on the island of Hispaniola.
By January 1718, Teach's squadron already numbered about 300 people. Cruising around the islands of St. Christopher and Crab, the pirates captured several more British sloops. In late January, Queen Anne's Revenge anchored near the town of Buttown, North Carolina. This small town, with a population of only 8 thousand people, was a good refuge for ships sailing from the Atlantic. The settlers happily bought up the pirates' plundered cargo, so Bathtown liked Teach as a backbone, and he returned to him repeatedly.

    Siege of charlestown
In May 1718, Queen Anne's Revenge and three smaller pirate sloops approached the town of Charlestown, South Carolina. They dropped anchor off the coast of Charlestown, setting up an ambush. Thus, in a few days, 9 ships were captured, the wealthiest passengers were taken hostage. Having received a huge ransom for them in money and medicine, Teach went to North Carolina. He bribed North Carolina Governor Charles Eden and continued to engage in robbery.

    End of career and death
In the fall of 1718, Governor of Virginia Alexander Spotswood published a proclamation in which he promised a reward of 100 British pounds to whoever captures or kills Teach, as well as smaller amounts for ordinary pirates.
Spotswood-hired English lieutenant Robert Maynard went to destroy Teach and met him near the island of Okrakok. Several of Teach's ships were in the roadstead in one of the bays. According to the authorities, most of the crew were either on other ships or on land, and the pirates were simply resting in Okrakoka Bay. At night, a punitive expedition on oars approached Teach's ship, so that at dawn they would suddenly attack the "half-drunk" sailors and their equally drunk captain.
On November 22, 1718, Teach celebrated his departure from the pirate business, it was then that fate brought him together with his old friend Edward Kenway. Both pirates were bombed by the Royal Navy battleship on which Maynard was. Teach's ship and most of his crew were destroyed, so he with the rest of the crew got over to Kenway's ship "Jackdaw" and rushed to the attack. Soon a boarding battle began. During the battle, Edward Teach was killed, receiving 5 bullet and 20 stab wounds. Maynard ordered Teach's body to be thrown into the waters of the bay, and his severed head hung on the bowsprit of his sloop, so that upon his return he would receive the due reward. All thirteen captured alive pirates were convicted at Williamsburg and executed by hanging.
Teach's career as a pirate was short but flamboyant. Many legends are associated with his name, including legends about treasures.

    Benjamin Hornigold

Date of Birth: mid-1680s Norfolk, England

    Date of death: 1719 g.

Benjamin Hornigold was most likely born in Norfolk, England, although this has not yet been confirmed. Nothing is known about his early years either. The first records of him date back to 1713-1714, when he began his pirate journey in the West Indies.

    Carier start
At the beginning of his career, he sailed on ships that were attributed to the British ports of King's Lynn and Great Yarmouth, and according to the chronicles, his main job was the transportation of critical cargo and escorting caravans.
After the end of the War of the Spanish Succession, he was one of hundreds of privatizers left without work in the conditions of the ensuing peace. Like many other English sailors, Hornigold spent most of his time in the Bahamas, eventually settling in Nassau. It was there that he began his career as a real pirate, although, perhaps, he considered himself then a privateer - at least in the early years.
During this period, his first assistant was Edward Teach, who would later become famous as the pirate Blackbeard. When Hornigold became captain of the ship Ranger, he appointed Teach in command of his former sloop. In the spring of 1717, two pirate captains together successfully captured three merchant ships in a row: one was carrying 120 barrels of flour destined for Havana, another was loaded with spirits, and a third ship, sailing from Madeira under the Portuguese flag, was loaded with barrels of white wine.
In March 1717, Hornigold attacked the South Carolina governor's armed merchant ship sent to the Bahamas to hunt robbers. The ship managed to hide behind the Cat Cay Islands together with her captain, who later reported that Hornigold's fleet was replenished with two more ships, and as a result, the squadron consisted of up to five ships, and the total number of the crew was 350 people.
In the same year, together with Teach, they seized the large French ship La Concorde, sailing to Martinique under the command of Captain Dosset.

Removal from the position of the Captain
Despite Hornigold's fame and reputation, he was always careful in targeting and until 1716 refused to attack ships flying the English flag, remaining faithful to his native country. The crew did not like his adherence to the patent and they demanded to attack any ship they chose. Hornigold strictly rejected the ultimatum, for which he was removed from the post of captain.
According to a more plausible version, Teach was the initiator of the riot, which at that moment was already acting independently and as a guarantee of Hornigold's life demanded a ransom - the ship "La Concorde". Hornigold agreed to the terms of the rioters and, taking the helm of his old sloop, went to the shores of Nassau, where he pirated until 1718.

    Pirate hunter
In December 1717, when the decree came to pardon all pirates, Hornigold went to Jamaica and in January 1718 received a royal amnesty and later, under the auspices of Governor Woods Rogers, became a pirate hunter, his former "brothers in arms."
Rogers granted the pardon petition, but at the same time instructed him to catch all the pirates, including his former assistant Teach. He would have to spend 18 months chasing Steed Bonnet and Jack Rackham. In December 1718, Rogers made a recommendation to the Department of Commerce in London, in which he noted Hornigold's efforts to confirm his unblemished reputation as a corsair.

    Death
At the end of 1719, Hornigold's ship hit a hurricane zone somewhere between New Providence and Mexico City and landed on an uncharted reef. This incident is mentioned in a modern report, A General History of Pirates, by Captain Charles Johnson, who states “on one of his voyages ... Captain Hornigold, one of the most famous pirates, was thrown onto the rocks and died, but five of his sailors boarded a canoe and were rescued . " The exact location of the reef is still unknown.

    Charles Wayne

    Date of Birth: 1680, England

Date of death: 1721 g, Gallows Point, Port Royal

The standard phrase in the biography of any pirate of the golden age is "Little is known about his early years ..." This is also true of Charles Wayne. We do not know where he was born, where he grew up, where he first went to sea. But this is not so bad, because it only adds secrets to the life of this unusual, fickle person.

    Carier start
Charles Wayne was one of the most hot-tempered and wayward members of the Flying Gang - a group of pirates who settled for a while in Nassau - and began his journey, like most pirates of that era, as a privatir who fought for the king. It is possible that he lived in Jamaica in 1715 and was one of the participants in Henry Jennings' attack on the Spanish expedition, during which the privates took all the gold for themselves after its sad collapse in 1715 off the coast of Florida.
Less than a year later, it was no longer possible to continue the honest work of the privatizer, since the British governors did not encourage violation of the terms of the Utrek Peace Treaty, which stipulated the cessation of all violent actions between the great empires. With no other choice, Wayne went to Nassau, where many of his former associates lived.
Rage-prone and miserly, Charles Wayne quickly earned a reputation as a captain who could not easily serve. Sometime in 1717 or 1718 his old friend Jack Rackham, nicknamed "Calico Jack", joined the team as quartermaster. For some time they pirated together, choosing Nassau as their base, like Benjamin Hornigold, Ed Teach and Henry Jennings, where he meets Kenway and talks about the gold in the fort nearby, and that Governor Torres is sailing to pick it up.
In the area of \u200b\u200bBermuda in 1718, he attacked a British squadron. The surviving members of the team told the governor of Bermuda that the leader of the attackers hung one of the prisoners on the yards and then was cold-bloodedly hacked to death with a boarding saber. A few hours later, having boarded Captain North's ship, he tied one of the prisoners to the bowsprit and thrust the barrel of a pistol into his mouth, demanding to reveal the secret of the ship's cash register ...

    Escape from Nassau
In the summer of 1718, an English fleet, led by the Templar and Governor Woods Rogers, arrived in Nassau, occupying the island. Woods announced an amnesty to all pirates who lay down their arms, and those who did not obey were awaited by the trial and immediate execution. Benjamin Hornigold accepted her and Wayne accuses him of treason.
Wayne's team robbed everyone they came across on the trade route linking England and the American colonies.
In September of the same year, in the bay of the island of Ocracoke, Wayne met Edward Teach. Wayne's ship fired a blank volley of all guns, welcoming the Blackbeard squadron. Teach responded with the same artillery salute, and both captains celebrated their meeting for several days in accordance with all pirate rules and customs.
After Teach's death, he helps Edward find the Sage by capturing one of the slave ships, which is believed to be the Sage himself. But further searches were interrupted by a rebellious team led by Jack Rackham.

    Death
Kenway and Wayne were dropped off on Providencia Island. There, his psyche shattered, he tried to kill Edward by shooting him with a gun and shouting insults. However, Kenway was able to neutralize Wayne and leave him alone on the island. He lived the life of a Robinson for several weeks, until in 1721 he was found by British soldiers and taken to Port Royal prison. Wayne was tried on March 22, 1721, and on the same day he was executed by hanging at Gallows Point, Port Royal.

    Jack Rackham "Calico Jack"

    Carier start
Jack Rackham is one of the few celebrated pirates whose homeland is the West Indies. He was born in Jamaica at a time when Port Royal was a real den of robbers. Most likely, this explains the atrophy of his moral principles: he often drank, rarely took anything seriously, and always ran after women. He avoided trouble with a defiant, aggressive charm, but he was neither a strategist nor a warrior.
Jack, nicknamed Calico for his love of Indian and Asian patterned fabrics, was a terrible sailor and bad pirate, with sudden quirks and short-sighted plans, not strategic thinking. Drunk, he was probably half of his adult life, had a weakness for women, which conquered all basic needs such as sleep and food. His disarming charm, dandy look and wit helped him a lot, but all the fun someday ends and someone has to put things in order.
He became famous due to the fact that his team included two women dressed in men's clothes - Anne Bonnie and Mary Reed. Both were the captain's concubines. Their courage and courage made the team famous.
After dropping Charles Wayne and Ed Kenway on a desert island and leaving his former captain with only a small, broken boat, Rackham hung out in the West Indies for a couple of months, and then returned to Nassau and received a royal pardon from Governor Rogers.
Soon he started an affair with another man's wife, the charming Anne Bonnie, who was 20 years his junior. When their connection was revealed, Ann's husband was so outraged by his wife's infidelity that he demanded that she be arrested and flogged. Rackham offered to pay for the divorce, but her husband did not want to listen to anything.
Unable to think of anything better, Ann and Jack decided to flee and become pirates. Their team was joined by Mary Reed, who was then still pretending to be a man. The three of them went in search of freedom, but did not go far.

    Death
Four months after escaping from Nassau, the authorities caught them and sent them to trial in Santiago de Vega. Jack was being held in a jail in Jamaica, possibly in an adjacent cell with his old rival Charles Wayne.
By a court decision, Captain Rackham and almost his entire crew of 300 were sentenced to the gallows. Before the execution, he asked to be allowed to see Anne Bonnie, but she refused, and instead of consoling before dying, she told her lover that he made her indignant with such a pathetic look. The sentence was carried out in Port Royal, Jamaica. The body was displayed on the approaches to Port Royal on a small island now called Rackham Reef.

    Bartholomew Roberts

John Roberts is his real name, Welsh Pirate, born May 17, 1682, also known as Black Bart. He hunted in the Atlantic and the Caribbean. Captured over four hundred ships. He was distinguished by his extravagant behavior. One of the most famous pirates in the history of piracy. Born in Haverfordwest, South Wales. Also, according to unconfirmed reports, he was the creator of the Pirate Code.

    Carier start
Little is known about his early life, as there is no mention in any historical document until 1718, when he served aboard a Barbados merchant ship. Most believe that he went to sea as a boy - at the age of 13. Just a year later, the picture of Roberts's life begins to be outlined much more clearly. We now know that he became a pirate under pressure from the famous Howell Davis, who seized a slave ship on which Roberts served under Captain Abraham Plumb.
In 1715 he was captured by the Templars, as he was a Sage and knew where the Observatory was. While attacking the Templars by assassins, Bartholomew tried to escape in the midst of the battle, but was captured by Edward Kenway. Later he was again taken to prison, but, under mysterious circumstances, escaped from there.

    Collaboration with Edward
Bartholomew sailed to the shores of the Principe, but was forced to fight the Portuguese and was soon overtaken by Edward again. Kenway wants to cooperate with Roberts and, in order to earn the trust of the Sage, kills two Templars, John Cochram and Josi Burgess. Soon Bartholomew planned the capture of the Portuguese ship Nosso Senor and a phial of Templar blood. Thanks to Edward, the Sage gets everything he wanted. Bart promises to show Edward the Observatory, but first he must kill Benjamin Hornigold. Kenway coped with the task and the Sage leads him to the Observatory, but, having shown the principle of its operation and taking the device, betrays Edward, locking him inside the Observatory. Edward got out of it, but suffered a serious wound. The wounded Edward tried to kill the traitor, but lost consciousness. Bartholomew hands him over to the authorities.

    Visions of Edward
Edward gets drunk in a tavern after Mary Reed's death, but Roberts finds him there and begins to mock Edward. The sage appears in almost every vision of Edward.

    Death
On the instructions of the assassins, Edward sails to Principe to kill the Sage, but he knew that Kenway would come for him and therefore escapes to his ship. Unfortunately for the Sage, Edward catches up with him in his ship, boarding the Royal Fortune and kills Roberts.

    Anne Bonnie

    Date of birth: 1702, Ireland

    Date of death: unknown

When Anne left her native Cork and went from Ireland to the overseas British colonies, it was difficult to call her a teenager either. By the age of sixteen, she was already married to Mr. Jack Bonnie - a kind and strong youth in her early twenties - and together with her husband went to the West Indies. The couple could hardly imagine what the future holds for them. In April 1716, they arrived in Nassau, where Jack soon got a job on a small plantation, and Anne perfectly mastered the art of idleness and daydreaming. Unfortunately, her beauty, indifference and complete disregard for the rules of behavior brought her an excess of male attention, which she had never suspected before. A year later, only one name remained from Bonnie's marriage. Jack plunged into work, and Anne, who * became more confident and surrounded herself with friends, soon found herself at the bar of the famous "Old Avery" tavern in the heart of Nassau. And although in the next few years she did not have many lovers, rumor dubbed her a whore and a freak. However, there was no high society in Nassau, no one censured or shamed the girl, and her attractiveness only grew from such rumors.

    Pirate life
Anne's life in Nassau did not bring any good, and she soon succumbed to the dubious charm of Jack Rackham, nicknamed Calico. Rackham, already involved from time to time in pirate adventures, turned out to be the very man who saved Ann from the captivity of her hateful marriage. Around the same time, Anne also became friends with Mary Reed, whose masculine attire failed to deceive the girl. They gradually began to get closer, simply shocking Rackham with this, who threatened Mary with reprisals for flirting with his mistress. In order not to aggravate the situation, Reed revealed her secret to him, thus bringing Jack to genuine delight. Several months later, for reasons not entirely clear, Anne, Mary and Rackham assembled a small crew, slipped under cover of darkness aboard a moored schooner, and set sail in full sail from the port of Nassau. Their plan was simple: organize a series of quick robberies, mining enough gold for the rest of their lives. However, Rackham's incompetence again led to fatal consequences. Three months after leaving port, Anne and Mary together on the deck of their stolen schooner, already very shabby, fought off almost continuous attacks of British soldiers, while Jack and the rest of the crew lay in the hold and could not come to your senses after a stormy night drinking. The soldiers were outnumbered, and the pirates were that both of them were pregnant at the time - Anne, most likely from Rackham, and Mary - from an unnamed sailor. The girls reported this at the trial immediately after the judge sentenced them to death. Taking into account the fact that both of them were "in position", the judge postponed the execution of the sentence until the moment of delivery. About 4 months later, Mary gave birth safely, but soon died in prison from an infection. As for Ann, her fate is still unknown. Neither a death certificate nor a record of the execution of the sentence has survived. It was long believed that her father saved her: having bribed the governor, he allegedly secretly took her to the British colonies in North America. But now we know what really happened. The only question is how to deal with this knowledge.

The idea of \u200b\u200bmaking an assassin a pirate is not at all as strange as it seems at first glance. Black flags, rum, treasures and other yo-ho-ho are known to the general public much more than the political squabbles of the Renaissance.

Developers don't let you forget about Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag: they constantly throw up trailers and gameplay - at the same Gamescom-2013 we were shown a PS4 version with naval battles. There are only a couple of months left before the release, almost everything is already known about the game. Let's sum up the first results.

1715 year. The golden age of piracy. Caribs. Few people know that even then on the golden sand of the islands, in the seas under black flags, under palm trees and in narrow streets, there was a secret confrontation between the organizations of the assassins and the Templars. Combines piracy, privateering and membership in the Assassin Order Edward Kenway , granddad Connor from the third part and the main character Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

Two Edwards, two sidekicks. To distinguish between the two captains, one of them was nicknamed "Blackbeard".

As in other Assassin's Creed series, Black Flag's writers have written a plot with conspiracy theories, combining fiction and real characters. Odious Edward Teach by nickname Blackbeard will become the hero's sidekick. Other, lesser known, historical characters of those years - the pirate captain Benjamin Hornigold (mentor of the hero), Jack Rackham , his girlfriend Anne Bonnie and a sadistic English pirate Charles Wayne , who is likely to become the antagonist in the story.

Here, by and large, the game is no different from the previous parts of the series - well, except that in the "modern" episodes we will no longer see the team Desmond , and a certain scientist from the Templar laboratories " Abstergo».

    "Korsak flies over the waves"

The differences start from the place of action: the Caribbean is a specific region. Earlier in the series, the map consisted of fragments, but now it is divided into islands and islets, coastal cities, fortresses and settlements.

The map by which we will look for money and "four trunks".

There are three main cities. In the west of Cuba - trade Havana, which the developers themselves compare with Venice from Assassin's Creed 2... On South - Kingston, a city immersed in greenery (next to it - the famous Port Royal). And in the north - Nassau, a pirate freelancer, which is later besieged by the British fleet in the story.

Do not expect a completely open world: on the islands, we can only get where they will be allowed. In addition to three cities on the map, you can see at least a dozen settlements. The developers claim that we will be able to explore more than fifty islets, plantations, fortresses, Mayan ruins and villages. In addition to them, seventy-five shoals and beaches will be found on the Caribbean islands, on which there are not only secret beaches, but also Robinsons, ready to join our team.

At such moments, Indiana Jones wakes up in our hero.

You can't get to the treasure islands on a horse, public transport doesn't go there, so it's logical that Edward will become the captain of his own ship.

We will spend at sea a little less than half the time. The ship is our base. It is called "Jackdaw" and cannot be changed. But you can modify: strengthen the hull, buy guns and choose ammunition, change the colors of the sails and, among other things, put the bow figure to your liking. The team is also important: it will not only help in boarding, but also determine the ship's performance. Edward will pick it up personally. But there is hardly any need to worry - the AC heroes already have experience in managing their teammates.

When you have your own ship, there are many exciting things to do in the Caribbean. For example, dive with an underwater bell. Fight the shark. Search the islands for pirate treasures. Explore the secret grottoes by finding the entrance hidden by the water column. Learn a pirate song. To hunt wild jumping monkeys and even whales - just this activity has already angered quite real public organizations. All accumulated values \u200b\u200b- from skins to blubber - are sold.

Let's kill the whale with a saber! In our way, in Chapaev way!

The list of relatively peaceful activities is huge: visits to brothels, drinking, hijacking other people's ships, collecting your own merchant or pirate fleet (albeit a virtual one - like the mission of the assassins in the previous parts of the series).

"And on the mast - a black flag"

And, of course, we will fight - in a plot, against abstract enemies and for prey (ours or someone else's). The developers have shown the battles several times: Edward is at the steering wheel, the ship is on the tack, the cannons are firing, the Jackdaw jumps on the waves. The weather system will play an important role - we are promised the ability to even lure the enemy into a hurricane. The enemy can be rammed or taken on board. The main character, pounding from pistols in all directions on a strange deck, is in fact the first thing that we were shown in the trailers.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: in multiplayer naval battles can not wait - the developers especially emphasized this.

At Gamescom-2013, we saw a battle near the fortress, in which it was necessary to suppress the resistance of the defenders by firing at two defensive towers. But there is another option - to leave the ship in the roadstead, get on the boat and quietly get into the enemy's lair. In general, there should be more stealth missions in Black Flag.

The screenshot, of course, is embellished, but this is forgivable, especially since in the game battles in bad weather look something like this.

Some naval battles are randomly generated. At the same time, Edward can climb the mast in order to identify someone else's ship from a distance (there are five classes in the game - from sloops to dreadnoughts). The team also has a first assistant, ready, like a secretary, to remind about the mission, convey a message or hint at circumstances. This brings Black Flag closer to RPGs a la Mass Effect. Wherever we want, we fly there!

After a successful boarding, the captured ship can be sent to get money for us or taken apart for parts.

No other game in the series has contained as many sandbox elements as they are preparing for us in Black Flag. Of course, there is a risk that freedom will turn into longing, but so far, serious problems with this have been only in the first part of Assassin's Creed, and in the ability Ubisoft make the gameplay dynamic we believe.

In addition, we will still spend more than half of the time on land, and this business is already familiar to us. Plot and side missions are already scripts, enemy AI, and here Edward himself and his equipment come to the fore.

"And the fourth is in the teeth"

Thanks to the abundance of data about the game, the main character Edward Kenway is not a mystery to us either. Born in Wales, raised in Bristol, married. I could not settle down; because of drunkenness and a riotous life, Edward was left alone and decided to go to privateers.

Havana. There is something to buy, there is something to smoke, there is room to climb.

No sooner said than done. And now Edward is already serving under the command of Captain Hornigold, robbing French and Spanish ships. In 1713 the war ends, and our hero, unable to do anything else, becomes a pirate.

Tellingly, Edward will not immediately discover the secrets of the confrontation between the Assassins and the Templars. Moreover, even after learning the truth, he will not immediately agree to join his brothers in the Eagle's Nest.

When there is water around, there is no need to look for hay to jump.

Edward is a hero of his time. Young, tall, well built, armed to the teeth. He carries up to four pistols of different types on his chest. Parameters of pistols - range, damage, stopping power. In addition to the usual set of melee weapons, our hero can hold a saber or even two in his hands (their parameters are damage, speed and suitability for combinations of blows). Of course, hidden blades and jumping kills are not going anywhere. But it is not very clear how things are with the grenades, which were once very useful to us in Istanbul. But the wind pipe appeared - the heritage of the natives. The developers even showed how Edward poisons the guard with the "poison of hate", forcing him to attack a colleague. In the place of a colleague, there may be a wild beast, and Edward himself, if he falls under the hot hand of a poisoned enemy.
