    Discussion ( 13 )

      Hello, dear Oleg Gennadievich!
Thank you for what you do to people. I consider you my Spiritual mentor. Your voice brought peace and confidence in our chosen path to our family. About myself, 43 years old, married, three children, retired, former riot police sergeant, went through two wars as a sniper and always could not understand one thing - despite the fact that he was a tough serviceman and shot very well, he still could never hit ANYONE LIVING TARGET. When this phenomenon could no longer be ignored (I hit a wood grouse from 10 meters), I began to think about my purpose and changed my “profession.” Powerful spiritual development began. I accidentally found the Bagavat Gita everywhere, from the attic to the trash heap... I picked it up to read. Now I live a normal human life. Oleg Gennadievich, I am writing to you so that you pay attention to the following phenomenon. Sometimes amazing things happen on Ekadashi. For example, in the summer, on our Bratsk Sea, my son and I are not bitten by angry mosquitoes for days. And most importantly, there is interesting information. Oleg Gennadievich check and use in your lectures the following arguments confirming the divinity of the origin of life on Earth.
      1. Birds have absolutely no genitals. The tales of scientists that a sparrow's penis instantly enlarges 400 times and then quickly disappears is clearly overkill.
      2. The forces that hold the planets of the solar system in orbit have one amazing feature - they act contrary to the laws of gravity. The sun does not attract the planets, but keeps them at a certain distance from itself. Moreover, it is still unknown how it rotates them around itself.
      3. In Siberia, with the approach of cold weather, many insects and some animals simply hide in the ground or under the bark of trees and freeze. And almost every part of their body freezes to -30-40 degrees Celsius. For many months. The body becomes dead so that it cannot be deader. And where, if not in the soul, is that power that in the spring brings a frozen creature back to life?

      Bratsk. Belkovsky Andrey Yurievich.

      • Male and female birds have a cloaca, an opening through which eggs, sperm, and waste products exit. Copulation occurs when the lips of the cloaca of the male and female join, and in the male the wall of the cloaca is slightly turned outward. Thus, the male transfers sperm to the female’s cloaca. This process is sometimes called "cloacal kissing." Some species of birds (most waterfowl) have a special organ, the phallus, that performs a function similar to that of the penis of mammals. Female birds lay amniotic eggs into which the young develop. Birds, unlike most vertebrates, have only one functioning ovary and oviduct.
Don't pass off your lack of education as something divine.

P.S. If my letter to Oleg Gennadievich ended up on the cover of the site, then it’s necessary and I would like to take this opportunity to add the following:
      1. people trying to take the spiritual path of development should not bother too much with such seemingly burning topics as politics, economics, and the dying social sphere. Don't waste your time and energy. This is not a call to wear rose-colored glasses. I won’t explain to anyone how I know this, but…. literally in a few years the following will happen. The internal political situation in the country will change dramatically on its own. In a slave state, holy individuals will come to power with their goal of caring for society and people. Everything will change quickly and forever. All the poor and all the rich will be happy. I repeat once again - do not waste your nerves discussing various television nightmares. Think about the main thing.
      2. the first sentence of the letter should read like this: “I am grateful to you for what you do for people”
Bratsk. Belkovsky Andrey Yurievich. I started listening to Oleg Gennadyevich about 2 years ago, periodically, when it’s especially bad. Lately, there is no absolute mutual understanding with my family, everyone wants to correct me, even the children, and their mother. Last year there was a feeling that I was dying (max. month , I thought so, the lectures saved me, I’m gradually coming to my senses, gaining moral strength, but I don’t understand at all in what direction to move, I’m 54 years old soon, I have a feeling of confusion. My family is completely against Yu.G.T.’s lectures, I’m trying not to share with anyone. , but Yuri Gennadievich says that I need to open up to my husband, I can’t, I’m afraid of further ridicule and attacks. What should I do? My brother is also against it, I recently read that Torsunov is a Baptist, it’s funny and bitter to me. What should I do?

      • And you don’t share, just listen to everything yourself and live in accordance. Then the relatives will be happy. Become a conduit of knowledge, not a peddler. Personally, I have been listening to Torsunov’s lectures for 10 years, they help me a lot in different life situations.

Oleg Gennadievich Ilyin(December 21, 1967, Krasnooktyabrsky village, Sokuluk district, Kirghiz SSR - September 3, 2004, Beslan, North Ossetia - Alania, Russia) - Russian military officer, officer of Directorate "B" (Vympel) of the Special Purpose Center of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, lieutenant colonel , who died during the release of hostages during the terrorist attack in Beslan. Posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.

Service in the army and the Vympel group

Graduate of the Ryazan Higher Military Command School of Communications named after Marshal of the Soviet Union M.V. Zakharov (1989), the FSB Academy (2000). He served in the airborne forces.

Since 1995 he served in the Vympel special unit of the Russian FSB. He took part in battles with the terrorist group of Salman Raduev in the village of Pervomaisky in 1996, for which he was awarded the medal “For Courage”.

He repeatedly went on business trips to the North Caucasus and took part in complex combat and special operations against terrorists. In 1999, he took part in battles with Shamil Basayev’s troops in the Botlikh region of Dagestan, for which he was awarded the Order of Courage. In 2002, for his participation in the anti-terrorist operation in Nord-Ost, he was awarded the Order of Military Merit. Ilyin was also a holder of the medals of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, I and II degrees.

    Personal qualities

For his desire to be ahead during hostilities, he received the nickname “Beacon” from his comrades. “When I got into the special operations department, I studied mining to perfection, climbed peaks that were inaccessible even for climbers with many years of experience. And when it was necessary to master the paraglider, every day he rose before dawn and flew over the base of the Special Operations Center: until there was a riot in the hostel, he did not let anyone sleep with his rattling.”

    Hero of the Russian Federation

On September 3, 2004, during the storming of School No. 1 in the city of Beslan, captured by terrorists, Ilyin was part of the blocking group. Having called fire on himself and received a shrapnel wound to his face, he continued to fight, preventing the criminals from conducting aimed fire with accurate shooting. Then, acting in the advanced assault group, he was one of the first to enter the school building. Some of the bandits attempted to escape from the building through the group's battle formations. Oleg Ilyin shot two terrorists at point-blank range, but he himself was mortally wounded.

He was buried on September 7 in Moscow. For the courage shown during the operation to rescue hostages captured by terrorists, Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Ilyin was awarded the title “Hero of Russia” (posthumously) by Decree of the President of Russia on September 6, 2004.

    Memory

    • Lieutenant Colonel Ilyin is forever included in the lists of the Ryazan VVKUS named after Marshal Zakharov. A monument to the Hero was erected on the school's parade ground.
    • In memory of the Hero, interregional tournaments in army hand-to-hand combat are held.
    • In 2013, the Russian Post issued a stamp from the “Hero of the Russian Federation” series with the image of O.G. Ilyina.

    Family

Oleg was married twice. In her first marriage, a daughter, Ksenia, was born. From his second marriage (wife Anna Valerievna Ilyina, ensign of the Airborne Forces), Oleg had a son, Sergei. In addition, Oleg raised Anna Valerievna’s son from his first marriage, Grigory.

COURAGE: “The Rock” goes into the future

In battle he had the call sign "The Rock". And in life he lived up to it. Of average height and strong build, with hidden inner power, as if carved out of a granite monolith, with a kind, attentive look of brown eyes. This is how a person can look at his friend, for whom he is ready to give his life. This is how a sniper looks through an optical sight at an enemy who needs to be destroyed. For some, Oleg Ilyin was a kind and loyal friend, whose loss was an irreparable loss; for others, he was a cold-blooded and ruthless shooter, whose bullets accurately flew to the target. He was a warrior and knew for sure: if you see a reptile, crush it before it does any harm. “THERE IS SUCH a profession - to defend the Motherland,” said the squadron commander in the film “Officers,” a favorite from childhood. Oleg watched it many times and was ready to watch it again and again. Even in his dreams, he saw the ground in the opening of the helicopter door, preparing for a parachute jump... After graduating from school, the question did not arise for him, what to become? Of course, an officer, a defender of the Fatherland. After graduating from the Ryazan Higher Military Command School of Communications, Oleg was sent to serve in the Moscow region, in one of the Airborne Forces units, since at the school he was a cadet not of a simple, but of an airborne company. He took over the platoon, then became a company commander. Here such a trait of his character as love of truth began to appear more and more clearly. The trait, in general, is useful, but for a career it is more harmful than necessary. As a rule, management does not favor truth-seekers; their career growth is always in question. But Oleg also showed other qualities: extraordinary persistence in mastering his specialty, a desire to get to the bottom of any phenomenon, the ability to find the shortest path to solving a given problem, and most importantly, an unostentatious concern for his subordinates. In a word, those qualities that later helped him become the commander of one of the units of the famous "Vympel". In the Airborne Forces unit, Oleg met his future wife Anya. This is what she says: “I served as an ensign, was a real paratrooper - I wore a uniform, studied the intricacies of military affairs and, of course, jumped with a parachute. When the battalion commander introduced me to the officers, in the distance, on the training field, Ilyin was more noticeable than anyone else. He did not stand idle for a minute, gave clear commands to his subordinates to organize communications. It immediately became clear: this man loves and knows how to command people. The battalion commander then pointed at him and remarked not jokingly, but seriously: “This one will go far, if, of course, he doesn’t will stop." It is difficult to understand what he meant: either love of truth, or Oleg’s incredible tenacity. In any case, the battalion commander’s words contained a certain prophecy. And Oleg really went far - to the title of Hero of Russia. And his life ended in battle." Ilyin was proud of his wife, who by that time had twenty-eight parachute jumps. Imagine a fragile woman who has a parachute on her shoulders, almost half of her own weight. Oleg himself loved jumping to the point of oblivion. He jumped at the first opportunity, igniting his colleagues and subordinates with excitement. “From the sky to the ground and straight into battle!” - he loved the landing saying. In the mid-90s, representatives of Vympel came to the unit to recruit fighters for their detachment. Oleg did not attend the interview got in, but by coincidence he soon found himself on the territory where the special forces were based, and there he met a former colleague, who helped him transfer to serve in the legendary special forces. "Vympel" became his life, his destiny. His eyes simply sparkled with happiness. After Oleg’s death, one of the newspapers wrote about him, saying that he knew nothing except service - a kind of warrior to the core. In fact, he respected his profession and himself in it, but he was a man of multifaceted interests, he loved to read serious books on psychology and philosophy, about the structure of the universe. In everything, as the poet aptly said, he wanted to get to the very essence. He loved and subtly understood humor, he liked to watch funny films with Jackie Chan. I have been involved in sports since childhood and had good results in several types at once. And he was not a fanatical fan, but one who looked at things sensibly. He remained a lover of truth as before. He could sharply answer his boss that he knew just as well how to lead people in battle, for whose lives he was also personally responsible. And indeed, in almost a decade at Vympel, he did not lose a single subordinate. And what kind of troubles did the special forces fate throw them into! Probably, someone like Oleg could be called an ideal commander. Although Anya doesn’t think so, she says that, like every person, he had his shortcomings. If he had been more careful, softer, you see, everything would have turned out differently. But he immediately notices that then it would no longer be Ilyin... Our pragmatic age sometimes forces people to build relationships with each other according to dry arithmetic laws: there he said exactly as much as necessary, and there he kept silent at all on time. But, you see, you earned positive points, so necessary for moving up. Oleg did not recognize this arithmetic, but he knew and constantly continued to study another science - the higher mathematics of combat, one of the postulates of which is this: a unit is a single combat organism, where everyone is connected by one thread and where the life of one depends on the actions of another. During operations it was double-wired. His subordinates remember well how in Pervomaisky, despite being mortally tired, Oleg took his weapon from the grenade launcher and dragged him, although he was already loaded like an ox. He took care of his people, this was the law for him. But I also asked them strictly. He and his soldiers underwent underwater and rock climbing training, learned to fly a paraglider, increased the number of parachute jumps to seven hundred, and loved alpine skiing. Feeling the need to improve training in hand-to-hand combat, I ended up in our Peresvet club, where we met. I somehow immediately liked him for his originality. And there was a feeling of his inner strength. One boxer I respect said about such people: “A man with a backbone.” I could feel the inner core and integrity of character in him, and I understood in my gut: “This is a fighter.” I have always been drawn to such people, perhaps because I myself did not always have enough fighting qualities, and also because I have always admired professionals in their field, especially military ones. For me, "Alpha" and "Vympel" are something transcendental. People here are from a special alloy. In general, this is a very complex and interesting world where intelligence and physical strength, mutual assistance and self-sacrifice, audacity and cold calculation are intertwined. And the most important thing about these people is their kind hearts. It is difficult to meet such pure and bright guys in life these days. But they exist. Oleg Ilyin was like that. THOSE WHO seized the school in Beslan on September 1, 2004, only superficially resembled people. From time immemorial, they have been called in Rus' by a clear and succinct word - trash. But this trash was of a special kind - with the mark of savage quality. Taking defenseless children hostage and then killing them - what could be more vile? But they also thought in other categories: killing children was part of their bestial plan. The fighters of "Alpha" and "Vympel" were faced with an incredibly difficult task - to rescue hostages and destroy terrorists. When the assault plan was being developed, one of the options included approaching the school under the cover of two armored personnel carriers. Ilyin told the best driver in the group to take the wheel. The likelihood that the militants would set fire to the armored personnel carrier with a grenade launcher was very high, and therefore the danger for the driver became almost one hundred percent. But he agreed without hesitation. But Oleg did not take the other special forces soldier with him, who was literally eager to go into battle. He remembered that his wife was due to give birth any day now. He said briefly: “You remain in the cordon.” And when he tried to object, he cheated: “Staff members are going on the assault, and you are seconded.” Ten minutes before the assault, he called Anya in Moscow on his mobile phone. He said the only phrase: “Don’t worry, everything will be fine.” Even at such a moment he was a professional and thought about how to reassure his family, who knew where he was. Ilyin’s group was one of the first to break into the school. She was faced with the task of clearing the second floor. When they broke through the central entrance, other assault groups were already fighting on the first floor. At the same time, a detachment of militants began to break through the stairs located next to the assembly hall from the first floor to the second. They wanted to crush Ilyin’s group and break out into the city through the second floor. There was the only place where residential buildings rose literally five to seven meters from the school. Before the militants broke through, their message was intercepted: “There are ten of us left. We will die as martyrs.” They knew who broke into the school and what fate awaited them. And so the “spirits” ran along the corridor, shooting as they went and throwing grenades. They knew how to fight, were very dangerous opponents and did not want to die at all. After the operation, their backpacks with civilian clothes will be found at school. The terrorists were going to dress up like her and disappear among the city residents. As a result of the battle, nine “spirits” remained lying in the corridor. But this came at a huge price. The first of the group to die was Denis Pudovkin, an athlete with a handsome, courageous face. Before the business trip, he and I worked in pairs in the ring of our club. Denis wanted to better prepare for the upcoming hand-to-hand combat competitions. He performed poorly at the previous tournament, and did not like to lose and really hoped to succeed this time. He had a special notebook in which he wrote down his training methods. On a business trip, at the first opportunity, I looked into it and repeated something. They say about people like Pudovkin: “The soul of the party, he will take off his last shirt and give it to a friend.” Before Vympel, he served in the SOBR and was awarded the medal "For Courage". For Oleg, Denis’s death was a terrible blow: his first subordinate died. Almost simultaneously, another soldier was seriously wounded. He had to be evacuated urgently. And the last of the ten surviving “spirits” was hiding on the stairs. He knew that there was nothing to lose... Oleg, as a commander, should not have gone first, but he went, causing fire on himself. Ilyin had the following toast: “... And to hold the machine gun in your hands until your last breath.” He died with a machine gun in his hands. And the last terrorist was literally smashed into pieces by the special forces... Then, a few days later, at Oleg’s house, at the wake of him, Denis Pudovkin and other dead guys, I saw tears in the eyes of the Vympel fighters when they talked about the shooting of children by militants. Although the special forces are hardened people who can endure any physical pain, the pain that passed through their hearts turned out to be beyond their strength. Oleg once told Anya: “I won’t survive the second Nord-Ost.” Then he, like all special forces soldiers, had to work exclusively in extreme conditions, rescuing hostages. They carried unconscious people out into the street, although they themselves were physically ill. and nervous overstrain literally almost fell off their feet. When everyone was taken out, Ilyin felt bad: his consciousness was foggy, his heart was aching. Then Oleg and Anya met at a classmate at the FSB Academy, which they both graduated from, with a girl who thanked Oleg for saving her friend. She was a hostage in "Nord-Ost", lost her boyfriend and, saying goodbye to life, sent SMS to friends. Anya says that Oleg had a presentiment of his fate. He had the opportunity to leave the detachment for a “civilian life”, for a well-paid job But he usually answered such proposals: “Who will be with my people? How will something happen to them?” In a television program about the Alpha and Vympel fighters who died in Beslan, Ilyin’s former commander had difficulty talking about Oleg, because he spoke not with words, but with his heart. And try to retell in a different way how six-year-old Seryozha told his mother: “Let’s assume that our dad is now in ambush and will definitely return to us in many years.” Little Ilyin became a man. After the film, Anya, Grisha and Seryozha cried. Fourteen-year-old Grisha is more like his mother. Probably due to his prudence. He is unlikely to be a military man; he recently said: “You can serve your homeland without wearing uniform.” It is difficult to object to this. But Seryozhka is very similar to his father. Apparently, he will be the same lover of truth, getting bumps on his life’s path. This one firmly stated: “When I grow up, I will serve where my dad did.” …On the DAY of the funeral it was drizzling lightly. It seemed as if the heavens were crying, but somehow sparingly, like a man. First, they said goodbye to the guys at the FSB club on Lubyanka, where thousands of people came. The President came to say goodbye. Several years ago, as director of the FSB, he presented Ilyin with an order. Then came the funeral farewell ceremony at the Nikolo-Arkhangelskoye cemetery. There was a special silence, but not dead, but a kind of icy silence. And only a terrible female scream broke the silence. Only a mother whose son’s death has torn her heart out of her chest can scream like that. Those who came to see off the special forces soldiers on their final journey had seen a lot in life, having gone through fire, water and copper pipes. Their stern faces hardly reflected the emotions raging in their chests. They knew how to sit in ambush for days, fight in any conditions and pursue their enemy for a long time until they were destroyed. And they, like warriors with great self-control, knew how to restrain their feelings. So, probably only special forces bury people in harsh silence. The coffins with the bodies of the heroes were lowered into their graves, machine gun volleys rang out, and the Russian Anthem sounded. And suddenly the clouds suddenly opened up, and a bright ray of sunlight fell on the graves of the children, as if the path to heaven. At this mournful moment, I could not get rid of some strange feeling that this was not goodbye to them forever, but only seeing them off to another world. The special forces went up along the heavenly, shining path. Once upon a time, many years ago, the great saint of the Russian land, Seraphim of Sarov, prophetically said: “Through great upheavals, a great future awaits Russia.” Oleg and the guys went into the future so that this time could come to us. And this will definitely happen, because they fulfilled the main covenant of the Creator: “This is My commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” Oleg Ilyin had a saying: “He left, but promised to return.” Heroes die. But their feat remains. And they come back to us through the centuries in legends, epics, tales, living in our memory. Our land has always been the homeland of heroes, heroes and simply devoted sons.

By order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation dated February 14, 2005, Hero of the Russian Federation Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Ilyin was forever included in the lists of the Ryazan Military Military School named after Marshal of the Soviet Union M.V. Zakharova. A bust of the Hero was installed on the school's parade ground (2005). On the Alley of Heroes of the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School named after V.F. Margelov, a bust of the Hero was installed.

Almost eight years ago, in September 2004, Chechen militants seized a school in Beslan along with students, teachers and parents. Negotiations went on for several days, and then something happened that even the worst nightmare could not have dreamed - an explosion, hundreds of dead and wounded, and Russian special forces rushing to save people. Many of them died while pulling small schoolchildren from the rubble.

The feat of the Russian officers who sacrificed themselves is sacred. But few people know that among those heroes was Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Ilyin, who served for many years in the Moscow region - in a separate airborne forces communications regiment in Bear Lakes (or rather, in the neighboring village of New Town) and in the special forces detachment “Vympel”.

    Truth-teller from New Town

The future Hero of Russia Oleg Gennadievich Ilyin was born in 1967. Since childhood, he dreamed of becoming a military man - it was not for nothing that his favorite film was the epic film for the Russian military, “Officers”. In 1989, Ilyin graduated from the Ryazan Higher Military Command School of Communications, after which he served in command positions in a separate communications regiment. Here he took over a platoon, then became a company commander.

Colleagues remembered him as a man with an active life position. He tried to keep up with everything and participate in all important matters. “He puffs like a boiling kettle,” his colleagues said about him. And the battalion commander added: “This one will go far, unless, of course, they stop him.”

Once, senior lieutenant Ilyin met at the garrison the only woman in the airborne battalion, Anna, who served as an ensign and had by that time completed three dozen parachute jumps. A spark of love flared up. Apparently, Oleg was looking for exactly the same characteristic girlfriend in life as he himself.

True... By that time Oleg was married. And Anna turned out to be married. Not even a love triangle, but some kind of quadrilateral. Soon everyone in New Town knew about this wartime romance.

Oleg Ilyin did not like rumors and gossip. He acted in his characteristic manner - he gathered his familiar officers and, off the cuff, said that he was getting a divorce and offering his hand and heart to Anna. So they became husband and wife, living together for ten happy years. Oleg adopted Anna's son, then they had their own little boy, Sergei.

And soon Captain Ilyin experienced drastic changes in his military service.

In the mid-90s, representatives of the famous special forces unit “Vympel” came to the unit. Only a few passed the selection; you had to have extraordinary qualities to get into the squad. Oleg was able to prove that he is worthy of being a fighter in an elite special forces unit. “I want to fulfill my duty, but at a high level,” these were the words remembered by his colleagues who asked Ilyin why he wanted to become a special forces soldier. In October 1995, he was enlisted in the state security agencies. So the signalman-paratrooper Ilyin became a “pennant”.

Getting into special forces is the dream of almost every young officer. This is where you can show all your best military qualities. Oleg didn’t have to travel far, because the Vympel unit is based next door to his first unit. You can walk there.

From the landing - to Vympel

The official birth of “Vympel” took place on August 19, 1981, when at a closed joint meeting of the Council of Ministers of the USSR and the Politburo of the CPSU Central Committee, the country’s top leadership decided “to create in the State Security Committee of the USSR a top secret special-purpose detachment to conduct operations outside the country in the so-called "special period" Officers were recruited into the detachment, not only from the KGB, but also paratroopers, border guards, pilots, sailors, and tank crews. Almost 90 percent of Vympel employees know foreign languages, many have two or three higher educations.

The first commander of the detachment was Captain 1st Rank Evald Kozlov, a participant in the assault on Amin’s palace, Hero of the Soviet Union. Therefore, the detachment was called “Pennant”, in association with the admiral’s braid pennant on the mast. In the 80s In Afghanistan, two operational combat detachments of the KGB operated - "Cascade" and "Omega", and "Cascade" from the beginning of 1982 was staffed by staff members of the "Vympel" group, a significant part of which were participants in the first years of the Afghan war. Afghanistan was not the only place where his skills were honed. Vympel employees worked in Angola, Mozambique, Nicaragua, and Cuba.

After the well-known events of 1991, Vympel was transferred to the Inter-Republican Security Service, then to the Federal Security Agency of the Russian Federation, and after the Presidential decree on the creation of the Ministry of Security on January 24, 1992, the unit became part of it with independent management rights. The main task was the protection of strategically important and environmentally hazardous facilities from terrorist and sabotage actions, the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking.

In 1993, Vympel employees managed to prevent an attempt to remove radioactive materials from near Yekaterinburg. After the events of October 1993, 135 officers submitted their resignations, about 150 people moved to serve in other departments. And only 50 people agreed to stay in Vympel, which was reassigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. That’s when the Motherland needed young, courageous officers who could carry out any important task with honor. This is how Captain Ilyin became a special forces soldier.

“He was terribly offended when he was not taken to Budennovsk, where militants seized the hospital along with doctors and patients,” Anna says about her husband. But then Oleg had just joined Vympel and did not yet have combat experience. In 2000, he graduated from the Russian FSB Academy. And only then did his time come to get even with the terrorists. Ilyin underwent underwater and rock climbing training, learned to fly a paraglider, increased the number of parachute jumps to seven hundred, and loved alpine skiing. He repeatedly went on business trips to the North Caucasus and took part in complex combat and special operations against militants.

    “Call sign - Rock!”

The special forces are tough men, but very sociable. So Ilyin loved to sit with friends, talk with them about the most intimate things that excite and warm the soul. He called these gatherings “Ilyin evenings.” And one day, as Anna Ilyina says, just before the events in Beslan, Oleg raised an unexpected toast. “The main thing in battle is to keep the machine gun in your hands until the last minute!” - he said. And this despite the fact that in his family Ilyin tried not to talk about the war, he never talked about special operations.

It was as if he had a presentiment of his death. This often happens with military officers...

In battle he had the call sign "The Rock". This is no coincidence - Oleg was not tall, but strong and stocky. And during operations, they say, it was two-wire. For example, in Pervomaisky, where the Vympelovites had to meet Salman Raduev’s terrorists in open battle, Oleg took his weapon from the grenade launcher and dragged him, although he himself was in full special forces gear. The task was completed. And during the seizure of the theater center on Dubrovka, Oleg and his comrades had to work in extremely extreme conditions, rescuing hostages. And there the Vympel team coped with the task.

...And then the fateful September 1, 2004. Chechen terrorists then decided to seize school No. 1 in the small Ossetian town of Beslan on Knowledge Day. They wanted to show the whole world their wolfish grin. The Vympel fighters had the task of rescuing the hostages. The task is not easy, because the day before a militant message was intercepted with the following words: “We will die as martyrs.”

Oleg Ilyin always valued people. For a decade at Vympel, he did not lose a single subordinate. So in Beslan, Ilyin left one of the fighters in reserve, not allowing him to go into battle - a child was soon to appear in his family.

When an explosion occurred at the school, Lieutenant Colonel Ilyin and his subordinates began to divert the fire of the terrorists who were shooting at the fleeing hostages. He was soon wounded, but remained in service. Then Ilyin’s group was one of the first to break into the school to clear the second floor. And then I met the terrorists face to face. The battle has begun.

The militants ran along the corridor, shooting as they went and throwing grenades - they tried to escape from the school by any means. Ours responded with machine gun fire, killing nine militants in the corridor. Two of them are on Ilyin’s account. But special forces soldier Denis Pudovkin was also killed. And then it was Oleg Ilyin’s turn - a burst of machine gun fire, followed by the explosion of a bandit grenade...

The hero was buried at the Nikolo-Arkhangelskoye cemetery in Balashikha.

For the courage and bravery shown in hostilities, Oleg Ilyin was awarded the Order of Courage and the Order of Military Merit, the Medal of Courage, and the medals of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, I and II degrees. And for his feat in Beslan on September 6, 2004, he was awarded the title of Hero of Russia (posthumously).

For his friends, he remained the same - a reliable guy, “The Rock”, who protected the children in the Beslanov school. Therefore, his comrades in arms patronize Ilyin’s family. For example, Oleg never had time to buy an electric car for his youngest. The friends kept this promise.
At the Ryazan Higher Military Command School of Communications named after Marshal of the Soviet Union M.V. Zakharov, a monument to the graduate of the school, Hero of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Ilyin, was unveiled. A tournament in army hand-to-hand combat in memory of Oleg Ilyin is also being held there in Ryazan.

A monument to special forces heroes was also unveiled in Beslan.

He is also forever included in the lists of this school. The truth-seeker Oleg Ilyin is also remembered in New Town.
