In the name of this goal, a person must be ready to sacrifice everything - of course, except for health, personal relationships and decency. That is, we are not talking about the fact that you can do anything for the sake of money, but only about building a system of priorities. Health, relationships with loved ones and internal comfort always come first, and then achieving your goal. In this case - welfare.

3. The Law of Clarity of Intention

We repeat: you should know exactly how much money you need and why. In each of my books there is an invitation to readers to send me their reviews, wishes and clarifying questions. And I traditionally receive the largest number of such letters from readers of the book “Magically Attracting Money” (which, however, is not surprising, since the “green book” turned out to be the most popular among all my publications). In this article I want to respond to one of these letters, because it asks a very good question that is relevant to a large number of people. I will quote the letter itself later, but first I will give several excerpts from the book “Magically Attracting Money,” which are the foundation for this publication.

"The law of similarity is one of the oldest natural laws used in magic. This law has a very simple and understandable formulation: like attracts like. How is this principle used in stimulating good luck and success? It’s very simple: if a person begins to think and behave , as a millionaire, his chances of becoming a millionaire increase significantly.

How to become rich using the magic of similarity? Who are the best role models for using the magic of likeness to achieve financial success? Rich people, of course! I have come across this same advice in one form or another in some other books. But I was faced with the following problem: I don’t like some of the habits and manners of the wealthy people I know. For example, I would not spend huge amounts of money on stupid “status” toys, as many rich gentlemen do. Therefore, the idea of ​​imitating such people runs into my inner protest. Can you advise something in such a situation or comment on it somehow?"

You know, some of the everyday manners of the millionaires I know also do not cause me much admiration, and some of their acquisitions only beg for bewilderment. But the main trick is that you should learn to earn (namely earn!) money the way people who have achieved material success do. And you should imitate the manners and behavior of successful people, which manifest themselves primarily in the process of their work (that is, when concluding deals, when communicating with clients, partners, staff, etc.). But you can spend your money in the way you personally like.

The unifying factor for successful entrepreneurs is a certain set of personal qualities that allow them to achieve success: determination, self-confidence, risk-taking, leadership, etc. In the last chapter of the book “Magically Attracting Money,” these personality traits are discussed in detail and in detail. These are the qualities you should take into account. That is, imitate successful people in the way they approach work. As for the specifics of spending the money they earn, the preferences of rich people vary greatly. One millionaire is obsessed with real estate, another with women, a third with collectible watches, a fourth with charity, a fifth with sports cars, a sixth with solving environmental problems, etc.

I have repeatedly mentioned the documentary series of the Discovery Channel entitled “The Richest People in Europe (the World)” both in the mentioned book and in my newspaper articles. All the heroes of this series - real millionaires and billionaires - are very similar in everything regarding their personal qualities and approach to building a business. But when it comes to spending money, every millionaire has his own quirks. One sets up a toy railroad in the basement of his huge house, with which he plays for days on end. Another funds the development of wheelchairs and donates them to thousands of disabled children. The third travels around the world on a yacht in the company of five young beauties. And the fourth is planting hectares of trees.

By the way, the vast majority of people who have wristwatches worth several tens of thousands of dollars once considered those who already owned such watches to be pompous idiots. Poor people, discussing the acquisitions of their more successful fellow citizens, like to say: “I would never spend so much money on such garbage! Yes, for that kind of money you can buy a lot of things much more useful.” But, you know, a significant increase in your personal budget inevitably leads to changes in thinking. And what previously fell into the category of “unnecessary and unreasonably expensive garbage” somehow imperceptibly passes into the category of “perfectly adequate and necessary acquisitions.” Human consciousness is an amazingly flexible thing.

In general, don’t forget to ask yourself the main question: why do you need money? What is the ultimate goal of your quest for wealth? This question is not at all rhetorical, and it requires a very honest answer. Not a pretty answer, but an honest one! The desire for financial success is always based on a strong motivation of one kind or another. So, if you want to get a significantly greater degree of comfort and freedom, the opportunity to travel, engage in creativity, and, even more so, donate wheelchairs to people who need them or plant hectares of forest, “status symbols” in the form of demonstratively expensive homes, cars and watches for you , in principle, are not needed. But many people striving for financial heights are guided by elementary animal instincts: to gain a greater degree of power and privilege in the human herd, and to get the best females. Such “high-ranking males” certainly need corresponding expensive “insignia”. So that their fellow tribesmen know exactly who they see in front of them. When you understand which category of wealth hunter you belong to, you will easily find role models.

The power and importance of basic human instincts should not be underestimated. It is impossible to fight our innate instincts; we need them for survival. But basic instincts can be used both to your detriment and to your benefit. For example, in order to live, we must eat something. But we have the right to choose what exactly we will eat. And our health and, accordingly, quality of life depend on our choice. We are all subject to the reproductive instinct, but we have freedom in terms of choosing a partner. The instinct to imitate is also embedded in the brain of each of us, but we can consciously choose objects to imitate. The people we interact with, read about, or see on screen are bound to have a profound influence on us. The process of imitation occurs unconsciously for us. You will unwittingly adopt the manner of behavior and speech, reasoning and worldview of those people with whom you regularly communicate. Images of book and movie characters also penetrate deep into your subconscious and will definitely influence the formation of your personality, whether you like it or not. So, if you are striving for success, let images of positive, successful and happy people into your brain. And avoid whiners, losers, pessimists, criminals and other negative people like the plague.
