The second type of faucet uses a ceramic cartridge that performs the same function as the ball. Each valve (cold and hot) is connected to a cartridge, which are tightly lapped to each other. If you turn the knob in the right direction, you can accurately and quickly adjust the pressure and degree. It is this design that every second old Soviet crane has. They are easy to use, but over time they have become not as practical as ballpoint ones. Depending on the design, they are also divided into:

1. Herringbone adapter;
2. Pipe.

Christmas trees are made with a special tee inside, due to which water is mixed. Branch pipes are directly connected to the pipe, the setting is carried out directly in the spout (spout).

It is customary to use a rotary sensor with one valve in the country house, in the yard and in industrial enterprises. Very often it is installed on the hoses of a washing machine, heater, pump and other household appliances.

A water pressure tap has a very interesting principle of operation, this is clearly demonstrated by the drawing. It works by pressing the cartridges or the ball firmly against the case. The bolt is under spring pressure all the time, but when the button (handle) is pressed, the locking mechanism moves away. Its installation is carried out strictly according to the scheme described by the manufacturer.

In addition, water taps with an IR sensor for opening water are now actively used, they are installed for summer cottages, houses, apartments, and public places. They are decorated with lighting (a special nozzle that reacts to the temperature of the jet), a timer, and sound. Despite the fact that a mechanical faucet box is installed inside the system, this plumbing fixture is usually defined as an electric mixer. The automatic sensor faucet is powered by a passive infrared sensor.

The locking mechanism is connected to the sensor, when an object appears in the range of its action, the water turns on. Also, a significant difference from the above-described taps is that the temperature setting is made immediately upon installation. Considering that now such devices are mainly mounted in public places, the plumber immediately adjusts the water temperature and its pressure to a certain level.

In addition to touch, water taps with timers, water heating, thermostats, electric drives and other upgrades are now being produced. In most cases, these devices do not require an electrical connection, as this would be contrary to elementary safety regulations. They are powered by a battery or a removable battery.

Material

Just as important as the design material from which the crane is made:

4. Cast iron.

A cast-iron kitchen faucet can still be found in old houses; previously, this particular metal was used for such purposes. Cast iron does not corrode, is distinguished by its durability, but due to its high fragility, it had to be replaced with more practical brass.

The brass faucet worked great. It can be used in extreme working conditions, it does not rust and withstands shock loads very well. Copper has similar technical characteristics, but is more beautiful in appearance and costs a little more.

But if a wall-mounted cast-iron or copper faucet was actively used in the middle of the 20th century, then at the beginning of the 21st, mounted sinks appeared very popular. They could not withstand the heavy weight of heavy valves and therefore steel analogues began to be produced. They were lower in price and had excellent durability parameters.

In addition to metal plumbing devices, a plastic faucet is used for outdoor installation of systems. It is often cut directly into pipes, providing fast operation and reliability.
