In conclusion, a couple more tips for burning discs:
during recording, it is better to refrain from launching resource-intensive applications, since recording itself gives a large load on the central processor;
it is highly desirable to have an uninterruptible power supply, because if the PC is turned off during the recording, then the disk is guaranteed to deteriorate.

Copying to a CD is somewhat different from regular copying, although there is nothing complicated about it either.

I must say that there are several ways to write to disk. Probably the most famous recording method is recording with Nero, but in this tutorial we will look at the easiest way (without learning and using third-party programs).

If these tasks are not displayed for you, then they can be launched using the context menu by clicking the right mouse button in any free space inside this folder:

I think everything is clear here: the first command starts writing to the disk (this process is often called "burning"), and the second cancels the recording, deleting the files prepared for recording from the folder in which they are placed before recording.

To record, select the first command, after which a window will appear CD burning wizard, in which we press the button Next. After that, you need to wait until the recording takes place:

At the end of the recording, the disk will “escape” from the drive on its own (depending on the settings) and a window will appear in which you will be informed about the successful completion of the recording process, where you will need to press the button Ready.

Such a window does not always appear due to the “wrong” disk.

To remove this problem, sometimes it is enough to experiment with the write speed. To do this, right-click on the CD-drive icon and select the item from the context menu. Properties:

If your disk is normal, then changing the speed will most likely remove the above problem. In addition, you can optionally make other changes in this window.

It should be noted that all discs recorded in this way (by means of Windows XP) are created as multi-session, that is, with the possibility of adding information to the same disc. Therefore, it is not necessary to immediately fill the entire disk. You can always add information to it next time (during the next session).

However, one should not forget that multi-session discs and discs burned in Windows XP may not be readable on older computers.
