How to make figures from a construction helmet. How to make a ladybug from scrap materials for garden decor (75 photos)

In order to decorate your garden, to make it original, unlike others, it is not at all necessary to spend huge sums. A lot of crafts for the garden can be done very easily with your own hands from a variety of materials at hand. And one of the simplest and at the same time the cutest crafts is a ladybug. Today we will look at a master class on how you can make a ladybug out of stones, paper, concrete, plastic bottles and spoons, from plasticine and beads, as well as sew, knit or mold.

    Stone crafts

How to make a ladybug out of stones and pebbles

In order to settle bright and cheerful ladybirds in your garden, you can use ordinary round stones - sea pebbles or whatever you can find is fine. Such a craft is made elementary - the stone is painted red, black paint - you draw wings, dots, eyes and antennae. Then you can settle the resulting insects in the grass, plant on stumps, glue on tree branches or decorate a flower bed. Another option is to draw ladybirds on a large rock.

Ladybug made of concrete: DIY mosaic

A similar way to make a ladybug, but this time we will use artificial stone and colorful tiles. Making a ladybug out of concrete is very simple. We will need cement, which can be bought at any hardware store, an old basin or bowl - a craft mold, polyethylene and red and black tiles, or something from which we can make a mosaic. Here's what we get:

We put a plastic bag in a basin so that the cement does not stick to the sides, pour the cement, wait until it hardens and dries. We take out and grind with sandpaper. Next, glue the mosaic on top of the pieces of red and black tiles. The cement ladybug is ready, it remains to place it in a prominent place in your garden.

    Making ladybugs out of clay

If you have not found suitable stones and it is difficult for you to make a mosaic, you can simply mold a ladybug out of clay with your own hands and paint it with paint.

    Plastic crafts

Craft for the garden: ladybug from a construction helmet

If you have an old construction helmet lying around somewhere, preferably red or orange, then there is another elementary way to make a ladybug out of a helmet. The only thing you need here is black paint. As a last resort, a regular black marker. Just draw the spots, eyes and wings - this is the figurine for the garden and is ready.

How to make a ladybug from plastic bottles

You will find more ideas for crafts from plastic bottles in our last article. And today we'll see how to make a ladybug out of plastic bottles with our own hands. The most popular idea is this insect-shaped flower bed. For such a flower bed, the bottles will first need to be painted black and red (not entirely, but only the bottoms + 5-10 cm). Here is a diagram for such a flower bed:

Another way is to string cut bottles on a line to create a voluminous ladybug that can be used to decorate a garden. This figure can then be trimmed with scissors. And here's what we can get:

    DIY ladybug from plastic spoons

You can also use plastic spoons for garden crafts. It is very easy to make a funny ladybug out of plastic spoons with spread wings. You will need three spoons for each craft. We paint two in red and draw points - these will be the wings, one - in black (this will be the body). We glue all three spoons. Add a head - made of buttons, clay, or something suitable. The craft is ready:

How to make a ladybug out of cork

For garden crafts, you can use any materials at hand, and even a ladybug can be made from any round or oval object. For example, you can use beer or plastic bottle caps. They just need to be painted with red paint and black - draw dots, eyes and antennae.

Needlework: we sew, weave and knit

    Beaded ladybug

The needlewoman can also use the ladybug symbol for her crafts. For example, you can weave it with beads. Of course, you won't get a big figurine, but even such miniature beaded ladybugs can be used to decorate the garden, for example, you can hang or glue them on trees.

    Pillow ladybug

Sewing a pillow in the shape of a ladybug is also not difficult. All you need is a red and black fabric. If you want a fluffy pillow, just sew it out of fur. Time for details: dots can be made of beads if you are sewing a small pillow, or not round, but in the form of hearts.

    Knitted ladybugs

If you like knitting, then why not knit a ladybug that can be used to decorate both the garden and at home. It can be a round knitted pillow, a figurine that can be hung on a tree or on a fence, put on a fireplace or on a shelf, a toy, a funny pot holder, or something else.

    Crafts with children

How to make a ladybug out of paper

You can also make ladybugs out of paper - a great idea for crafts with children. Alternatively, you can simply fold the red paper using the origami technique and draw the eyes with dots. You can also glue a ladybug from several parts. You can simply put such crafts on the grass or make a garland and decorate it with a veranda or trees in the country.

    Ladybug in quilling technique

A more difficult way to make a ladybug out of paper is to use the quilling technique. We have already written about spring quilling. There is an easier option - you get a flat ladybug or a small round one - if you wind strips of red paper in a circle with a slight shift. Or you can make such a chic volumetric quilling - ladybug:

How to make a plasticine ladybug

Also, together with your children, you can mold a ladybug from plasticine. There is nothing difficult in this, even the smallest child can handle it. Great idea for kids.

    Edible figurines

    Salted dough ladybugs

The idea is the same - you just need to mold a ladybug, as you already did from clay or plasticine, and then paint it in the desired colors and use it as a garden figurine.

How to make tomato ladybug sandwiches

A delicious and original idea for sandwiches is to decorate them with a ladybug made from tomatoes and olives. Tomatoes for the body can be taken either ordinary or cherry (in the second case, the figures will simply be smaller), we make the head from black olives, dots and antennae - from them. The sandwiches themselves can be anything.

    Ladybug cake or salad

Another delicious idea is to make lard or ladybug cake. A cake in the shape of this funny insect is a great idea for a children's party, you can easily bake one for your child's birthday. A salad in the shape of a ladybug can be a decoration for any festive table. This is how it looks:

    Sushi ladybug

And the last thing for today - sushi "ladybug". For me personally, this is an unattainable ideal, but if you have rich experience in making sushi and rolls with your own hands, you can try this interesting idea:

The warmer, the more time you want to spend outside the home. The grass turns green, the sun shines ... the family is gradually moving to live in the garden. A hammock has already been stretched between the trees, in the shade there is a round table with chairs.

Every year, trends to decorate the garden are gaining momentum. Amazing flower beds, paths, fountains, bridges, waterfalls with cascades ... There are such interesting gardens that you can walk through them like in museums. And I don't want to leave.
The owners of such wonderful plots bring wonderful garden figurines from all over the world, "so that it is not like everyone else's!" And manufacturers of plaster figurines for the garden are trying their best. Rows of gnomes and bunnies are lined up along the intercity roads. The same and not charming. Because quantity is often at the expense of quality.
But the neighbors have turtles and a giant frog in the grass. You can't tell from the real one. But neighbors brought these plaster reptiles from Tahiti. And we have not been to Tahiti. We are not bad here too ...
Beautiful ceramic figures for the garden are presented in the photo below.

In general, the soul wants to go to heaven, but sins are not allowed. If you can call unobtrusive income a sin. But our people, as you know, will not take a taxi to the bakery. Because they bake the bread themselves. And many do-it-yourself figurines for the garden. This article is not about the thoughtful designs of car tires, painted in cheerful colors. Although folk craftsmen manage to do wonders from rough rubber. I'm talking about the fact that not only in the house, but also in the garden, you can do a lot with your own hands quite professionally. In addition to saving money, this brings a large portion of endorphins into the blood. Because creativity, especially in nature, is the most wonderful occupation in the world.
DIY figures for the garden from car tires:

Let's look at what kind of garden figures you can make with your own hands, how to do it, and how to place it. As always, we focus on what is cost-effective in terms of time and money. As always, we go from simple to complex.
Figures for a garden made of stone The simplest is stones. They are very decorative in themselves. From boulders and pebbles, you can lay out everything: from decorative fences for flower beds to figures of fairy trolls. Do you remember that trolls turn to stone with the first rays of the sun? So that's it. The stones can not only be laid out, but painted with acrylic paints, which, we know, do not fade in the sun and are not washed off by rain. Color it tastefully as jewelry is painted. And using only this simple technique, create unique figures for the garden with your own hands. Nobody in the whole world will have such inhabitants of the garden.

    Fence of colored stones

    Colored stones in the garden
Or you can paint the stones in gentle shades of dawn. And apply decorative stripes with white paint. You can make graffiti on rocks! How do you like this idea? You can make many ladybirds from smooth stones and spread them throughout the garden.

Strawberries made from stones are just as good!
Why not dilute the green grass with red?

    Stone strawberry

    Animal figures painted on stones

A romantic composition created with a bicycle.
Great idea, but you need to be able to draw. Decoupage here will look completely alien ...
Decorating the garden with flower beds The next most difficult idea is the shape of a flower bed. A bicycle looks very stylish, as if they were transporting flowers and accidentally leaning against a tree. And they forgot ...
You can also adapt obsolete objects for flower beds. Just do not get carried away, do not create a semblance of a dump.
Stylish use of old things for a flower bed:

Decorations that will ruin your garden:

    Garden figures from branches
The next idea is garden figures from branches. When the trees are cut in the spring, there are a lot of branches left. You can throw them away or burn them. Or you can build a homemade garden composition. Starting with a simple nest for storks (let it be decorative, we will also plant flowers in it), and ending with more complex animal figures (see photo).

    Cropped Vine Animal Figure

Tomorrow's garden hedgehog from a helmet and putty
    Plaster-cement homemade figurines
Gradually, we came to the use of cement and alabaster mixtures to create figurines. After construction or repair, at least half a bag of putty and cement always remains. Why not use them?
For such a wonderful hedgehog (see photo vishche), an old construction helmet was taken as the basis-frame. The top of the helmet was generously coated with plaster putty, and needles were formed with your fingers. Now the hedgehog will dry for 24 hours. And it will be painted with acrylic paint in its natural hedgehog colors.

    DIY city in the garden
And such a palace is actually not a complicated thing at all. We dig the base into the ground. In this case, these are scraps of an iron pipe. We cement these scraps in the foundation pit. They are generously coated with cement. We spread the pebbles on the cement. The cut plastic bottle, future windows, is glued directly to the cement. But it will be much more beautiful if you glue in real glass. The rest of the glass will be gladly returned to you in any workshop. Also, the remains of the tiles - in the store selling tiles. Pebbles can be collected from the river or the sea. For money, you will only get cement! And even he, sometimes, is unnecessary with the neighbors :).
We form the roof in the form of a cone with palms from the same cement mass. For shingles, you need to break a couple of tiles into fragments. We form the fence according to the same principle as the base, using wire. So, carried away, you can build a whole fabulous city in your garden.
Epilogue As you can see, you don't have to buy a lot of expensive accessories. Nobody argues, they are very beautiful. But it is quite possible to purchase several ready-made ones, and decorate the rest with your own hands. Everything, literally everything can be used with the right approach. The only thing you cannot do without is hard work and good taste.
In order not to be led by only one fantasy - sketch out sketches. Figure out on paper what you want to bring to life, and in which corner of the garden this design will be appropriate. Then pick up everything necessary materials... And only when everything is ready, proceed to the work itself, in fact.
Without planning and preparing everything you need at once, you run the risk of starting a "long-term construction" until the end of the summer. Well, there are no such stones anywhere! And unfinished fragments will frighten guests with their avant-gardeness. Or, without a well-thought-out sketch, everything will go at random, and you will have to break and redo everything. Okay, you are patient. And for some, the desire for creativity may be lost altogether!
Do not use polyurethane foam, fabric and other materials that quickly fail. Take as a basis the successful experience of other masters, and pave your way. Let your home be a blossoming garden and your garden a cozy home.
