Samsung GT-C3312 Champ Deluxe Duos.

How I chose the phone.

The time has come and my old Siemens CX65, which has served me faithfully for more than 8 (!) Years, demanded to be replaced.
During this time, the device proved to be quite reliable, it suited me in all respects, and I was not going to change it until it began to malfunction.

And now the question arose about choosing a new phone to replace the old one.

To begin with, I determined for myself the main parameters that you should pay attention to when buying a new phone:
Easy to handle, slim and small.
In standby mode, it should hold 3 - 4 days, in frequent talk mode for about 2 days.
Loud call with a high-quality speaker.
MP3 support.
FM radio receiver.
The presence of a camera (the quality is not particularly important).
USB connection.
MicroSD card slot.
Good reception and good voice quality.
Informative call history and the ability to record several numbers per subscriber in the phone book.
The price is no more than $ 100 (after all, this is primarily just a phone).

The first who caught my attention DJH N600- mobile phone with two SIM-cards from the DJH company:

Monoblock / 2 SIM cards / Screen 3.2 "; touchscreen / MicroSD memory cards (TransFlash) / 2 Mp camera / Bluetooth support, Java, GPRS / FM radio, MP3 and MP4 Player, / 108x55x13 mm.

This phone did not meet my expectations and was returned back to the store the next day.

After that, a model from Samsung GT-C3312 Champ Deluxe DUOS was chosen, a simplified version of GT-S5222 Star 3.

Mobile phones GT-C3312 Duos and GT-S5222 STAR 3 DUOS are similar, both devices (except for the Wi-Fi module) have almost the same hardware.

Further operation of the device showed that this time I was not mistaken with the choice, the phone is quite successful and stylish, at least it suits me perfectly.
The brief overview below allows you to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of this phone, and also reflects my opinion on this device.

In my opinion, the Samsung GT-C3312 phone for a reasonable price has quite good specifications, which may interest a person looking for a mobile phone with touch control, support for Dual-SIM mode and many social network clients, but at the same time, for the sake of the price is ready to sacrifice Wi-Fi module.
If at the moment you are looking for an inexpensive phone, then I recommend that you pay attention to this model.

Assembly

The case of the Samsung GT-C3312 is made of plastic with a small admixture of metal inserts in the form of edging of functional elements.

Due to its compact dimensions and weight, the handset fits well in the hand.
The battery cover is attached to the panel perfectly.
The implementation of functional mechanical elements is excellent - no complaints / nagging about the buttons, and no to the connectors.
The quality of materials in this device is partly even better than those used in STAR 3 DUOS, the case is good and does not cause any complaints.

As for the design of the C3312, we have a combination of dark glossy plastic, with a plastic that visually resembles aluminum, which also received a kind of coating that tactilely resembles varnish. This coating is quite scratch-resistant, "fits" well with the front panel of the phone and looks quite nice.

On the front panel there is a display, on top of which there is a slot for the communication speaker, decorated with a mesh.
Between the slot of the communication speaker at the top and bottom of the display, there are two information symbols - the manufacturer's logo, as well as the emblem of support for the "DUOS" mode.

Below the display are three mechanical buttons. The two buttons on the sides are call buttons. With the end-of-call key, you can turn on and off the phone's power, this is indicated by a special icon on the button. The button located in the center is the "step back" key to return to the previous menu item.

The back panel is covered by the battery cover, in the body of which there is a slot for the built-in camera, as well as a speaker net for the speakerphone.

On the right side face there is a button that is responsible for blocking device control.

On the left side there is a coupled "rocker" key for adjusting the volume of the sound, as well as a hole for a loop for attaching a safety cord.
In the upper end of the case there is a 3.5 mm jack and a small recess required for the user to remove the battery cover.

And finally, at the bottom there is a micro-USB port, as well as a small slot for the built-in microphone.

Phone book.

It can store up to 1000 contacts, and consists of several tabs: Contacts, Groups, Favorites.
A subscriber can add up to 5 phone numbers: mobile, landline, video call, fax, pager, phone in the car, email address, instant messaging service number (Google talk, AIM, ICQ) and other contact information, as well as a melody or photograph. Calling picture is shown at the top of the screen.

Call log.

You can enter the call log by pressing the left soft key or through the phone menu. The list combines information for both SIM cards. Each call or message is tagged to make it easier to use the SIM cards. The central key, if you hold it down for a few seconds, brings up a menu for selecting a priority card. All calls or correspondence come from the SIM that is currently activated.
There are several categories in the lists: general, calls, messages, e-mail, the duration of calls and the duration of Internet sessions are shown with the calculation of the traffic spent on it. A dictaphone is working for recording conversations.

Radio

The receiver allows for both manual and automatic station search. Several dozen stations are stored in the memory. There is support for RDS, as well as the function of recording from the radio. A convenient reminder works, and there is also a timer.

Battery

The phone has a 1000 mAh battery. One 100% battery charge, according to the manufacturer, is enough to work in load mode up to 16 hours, or up to 600 hours in standby mode.

Memory

The volume of the built-in memory in the C3312 is only 10 MB, however, it is possible to expand the "standard" memory using microSD cards. The maximum amount of memory cards for use in the device is 32 GB.
Support for hot swapping of memory cards has been implemented, although you will have to remove the battery cover first.

Connecting a mobile phone via USB 2.0 to a personal computer is carried out using the Samsung Kies program, or simply as a removable disk. The connection type can be set as a permanent mode of operation that will be used by default, or you can select it each time you connect.

Display

Samsung GT-C3312 received a 2.8-inch display based on a resistive matrix.
The diagonal of the display is 240x320 pixels, the color rendition is 262 144 shades.
I had my doubts about using a phone with a resistive display type. It turned out that in general there is no significant difference between this model and the S5222 Star 3, where the sensor is of a capacitive type, the touch sensitivity is very good - there are no tangible "brakes".

The system does not support the accelerometer and multitouch, however, while in the Internet browser, you can use the special panel scaling mode implemented here.

As for the settings, everything is quite simple: the ability to select wallpaper, theme, widgets, work with "hot keys", etc.

The menu shell in Samsung GT-C3312 is similar to that used in STAR 3 DUOS. By default, these are three desktops, the number of which can be increased to seven by placing widget shortcuts on the panel. On all desktops, there is a miniature cogwheel at the top, clicking on which, the user enters the editor for working with widgets. The menu is convenient - it is divided into desktops, where each of which, in turn, has a line for working with widgets. A user can place only one widget on one desktop. This state of affairs is due to the rather large size of the widgets.

Bluetooth and Internet browser.

Although this phone belongs to the budget segment, nevertheless, it has a Bluetooth 3.0 module on board with support for various profiles, which is still a plus for a budget device. Including, there is also A2DP, which allows you to listen to music through a wireless stereo headset.

The Internet browser resembles the application in STAR 3 DUOS. There is a possibility of vertical and horizontal page orientation (using a special option). In addition, the user can create bookmarks, fully work with security settings, choose a SIM for the WEB, and much more.

Email and social media

The preinstalled email application allows you to create accounts based on the servers listed in the submenu.

Everything is extremely simple, thanks to the intuitive setup and installation wizard.

Music and built-in camera capabilities

The built-in MP3 player supports the following audio formats: MP3 / WAV / eAAC ++.

Sorting by playlists, artists, albums, etc. is implemented in the application menu.
A preset equalizer is responsible for sound processing. There is a music auto-off mode, as well as volume limitation.

In addition to the MP3-player, the C3312 menu contains the “FM-receiver” application, among its features - program recording, manual and automatic channel search and much more.

The built-in camera is based on a 1.3 megapixel matrix. The maximum resolution while photographing is 1280x960 pixels. There is no flash. Settings in the illustrations.

Dual-SIM mode is implemented according to the same algorithm as in STAR 3 DUOS.

Overall, the C3312 is a good model for its price point, with a relatively good display and decent under-the-hood features at its disposal. For many average users, this, combined with a low price, is the most valuable thing in a mobile phone.

This is the second list of codes for Samsung that I have prepared, and it is dedicated to the series Samsung GT, since most of the problems (necessity) arise with them. I also highly recommend checking out the first list! There are codes mainly not for smartphones.

You need to enter the codes in the "Dial" number, like a regular phone number.

It often happens that the phone while dialing commands asserts that you are entering the wrong commands. This may be the case if the command is not supported by your model. But still, when typing codes, try not to pay attention to what is displayed on the screen.

Despite the fact that the codes are sorted by model, they can overlap - for example, information about the firmware and running various tests.

Use a hard reset as the last method that will only be performed if you are 100% sure that you do not have a Gmail account associated with your phone.

Several variations of the factory password are presented, each smartphone has its own one. If you know any more, write it in the comments.

How to recover a forgotten password via Gmail?

This method will only work if you have connected your Gmail account to your Samsung phone.

1) Read the pop-up warning. Entering the wrong password five times on the unlock screen will trigger a pop-up warning. The system will be prompted for 30 seconds. Click OK.

2) Point out what you forgot. Direct your gaze to the options displayed at the bottom of the screen. Click Forgot your pattern, Forgot your PIN, or Forgot your password. Depends on which unlocking method you used to protect your Samsung phone.

3) Log into your Gmail account. You need to send your Gmail credentials associated with your Samsung phone. Enter your Gmail username and password in the text box that appears and click the Sign In button.

How to Hard Reset Samsung Password?

How to Unlock Samsung Password with Find My Mobile?

If you failed to unlock Samsung password, firstly, don't panic. Tons of people have been in the same position before, and a lot will follow in the future. This is why Samsung (and Android itself) made it extremely easy to reset your password and regain access to your phone.

1) To unlock your phone using Samsung Find My Mobile platform, go to the official website by clicking.

2) Sign in using the Samsung account you created when you first purchased your smartphone. Of course, this requires you to be signed in to your Samsung account, not miss it.
