The POE shelter is a specially designated place that can be decorated by the owner with various cosmetic items. You can invite other players here, but in order to be able to build a shelter, you will need to comply with some conditions. It should start with the fact that access to the building opens only for those craftsmen who have received level 3 reputation. Guests can be players who are on your friends list or are in the same group with your character. To move, you will need to enter the command in the chat / hideour (/ shelter), being in any city. You can also get here using the cartographer and Portals located at certain points.

Players can change their Vault without any penalties, and decorations for it are purchased from special characters - Masters of level 3 and higher. Each such building has its own unique appearance and interior, created with the help of cosmetic items.

    Benefits

If you acquire your own Vault, this will provide access to some additional functions:

  • Craftsmen give players tasks, the reward for which is 250% of the Reputation from the original value;
  • Craftsmen will be able to trade with you, while the assortment of goods will be updated every time you start to complete the daily task;
  • You can get a special workbench for creating items, which is issued by the Master invited to the Vault.
  • As for the last point, you should not be afraid for the safety of the workbench. You can safely expel the Master from the OYE Shelter, and this interior item will remain with you in the future. Initially, you can invite 2 Masters to the Shelter, hoping to receive unique bonuses. The level of construction will grow with the level of the owner, and at 5-7 stages you can increase the number of Masters in the Shelter to 7.

Do not be afraid that other players will harm your Vault in any way. Ordinary guests without an invitation can trade with your Masters, but their functions are limited to selling items only. The game will not allow them to buy new decorative elements or use someone else's workbench, so there is no reason to worry about the safety of your private property.

    Decorating

As mentioned above, the Vault can be decorated with various items purchased from the Masters. In total, more than 750 various elements are available for players, located in any place you need.

Items in the Vault are managed according to the following method:

  • You need to hover over the "i" icon located next to the word "Rearrange", after which instructions will appear for placing items inside the building;
  • To move an item, you can use the arrows on the keyboard or just drag items with the mouse;
  • To rotate an element, press the Shift + R keys at the same time or move the mouse between two circles;
  • To rotate an object 90 degrees, press the key combination Ctrl + R;
  • To select an item, rotate the mouse wheel or press the Page Up and Page Down keys;
  • Deleting an item occurs after pressing the Delete key.
  • After making all the changes in the layout of the Vault, do not forget to click on the "Finish" button, or all progress will be canceled. This fact very often becomes a problem for players who devote a lot of time to decorating the OYE Vault, but forget to save the performed actions.

This is a mirror of the guide from the official Russian-language forum of the game.

I highly recommend reading the forum version of the guide!
On the forum, the guide is always updated first of all, besides, spoilers work adequately on the forum and therefore it is much more convenient to read it.
    Link to original:

    Introduction.

    1. Character creation.

Path of Exile is a rather difficult game, and if you are a beginner, then you do not know what challenges lie ahead and how best to prepare your character for them. It often happens that a "homemade" character turns out to be weak, not revealing any of his strengths and unable to cope even with the first difficulties at levels 60-70. But then the player will have several more sharp increases in difficulty.

One of the best tips for a PoE newbie: take advantage of the experience of seasoned gamers instead of trying to experiment on your own! This way you can spend the first few weeks / months of the game much more efficiently and fun.

Create your character by choosing one of the ready-made, proven builds that experienced players share on YouTube and game forums. Usually, after independent experiments, when playing with a good build, it feels like you switched from an old creaky bike to a brand new sports bike and rushed forward, easily sweeping away all the mobs and bosses in your path! :)

    2. Choosing a guide.

Not all good builds come with really good guides. By pumping a character with a good build, but without prompts, you can screw him up out of inexperience.

A good build guide must meet four very important criteria:

First, it should describe in as much detail as possible how to distribute passive points, what things to wear and what skills to use at each stage of the game, starting from the very beginning. Many builds are designed for you to use completely different things and skills at the beginning of the game. For example, a melee hero can run up to 40 lvl, using a totem that hits for him and wearing at the same time things and skills that enhance the totem and not himself; having reached a certain stage, he removes the totem and begins to use his main weapon according to the build. Also, during the buildup, it is often thrown off and changed to other parts of the skills on the passive tree. Make sure these points are covered in the guide.

Second, the build should be designed for things of a value that you can afford. If you are a beginner and play from scratch, then this should be a build that can run on high-level maps, dressing up in the cheapest things and still being effective mainly through using your skills (not expensive things). This is very important because many builds work only if there are items, each of which costs several times (or tens of times) more than a beginner can usually accumulate in a few weeks of playing.

Third - the build must correspond to the current update of the game - usually the name of such a build contains the number of the current update. For example, at the time of this writing, the servers are running update 2.6 "Legacy League". With each update, the developers fix the mechanics of skills and items, so some builds in new updates become completely unusable, or require significant rework.
Also, the presence of the update number in the title indicates that the author has not abandoned his brainchild and is constantly working on improving it for the convenience of other players.

Fourth - The Quest "Bandits of Bandits" in the second Act gives extremely important bonuses, depending on what choice you make when completing this quest. If you are using a good guide, then it will definitely indicate what bonuses from bandits are required for your build.

IMPORTANT !: In Path of Exile, it is possible to completely reset the entire passive tree, including the Rebirth passives (labs), including the Bandits quest, which can be rolled back and replayed. But this requires so much currency that it makes even fairly rich players feel sad, and for most newbies it is completely inaccessible. Therefore, I repeat once again - choose a good guide and do everything right from the very beginning.

    - - - - - - - - -

Usually, to start from scratch, builds are used that can be effective even when dressed in extremely cheap equipment. For example, these are builds of totems and summoners, who tank and deal damage not with their hero, but with skills. Many mage builds are also good for starting.

Most builds that use physical attacks, especially melee ones, are better not to be downloaded first, because they rely heavily on good (usually expensive) equipment.

    3. Hidden keyboard shortcuts.

All the main control keys can be seen by going to the game settings, the Interface section. But besides them, there are several more keyboard shortcuts, which many will not immediately learn about:

Ctrl + LMB (left mouse click) - immediately moves the entire pile of items from the inventory to the warehouse or to a deal.
Shift + LMB - moves the specified number of items from the pile.
Alt when hovering over the item - shows the iLVL of the item.
Ctrl + LMB when clicking on the entrance to another location, or through the portal network - allows you to start the location again, with all the mobs, bosses and quests. Allows you to go through the same location many times in a row.
Ctrl + C with the mouse hovering over the object - copies the text with all the parameters of the object to the clipboard. Can be inserted into a game chat, or into a notebook, forum, etc.
Ctrl + Alt + LMB on an item - shows a link to an item in the game chat. Incl. works on items sold by merchants and craftsmen, for example, to join the daily rotation of the master.

    4. English.

It is not necessary, but highly desirable for playing PoE, to be fluent in English at least at a basic school level and / or to use an interpreter.

Most of the guides are written in English. On the English-language YouTube channels and on the English-language forums on the game, you can find dozens of times more guides, tips and other content than there is in Russian.

The purchase / sale of things is carried out through the site, which is completely in English. There are also a number of other supporting English-language sites that can make it easier to play PoE and provide a lot of useful information.

In general, when playing on the Russian-language client of the game, it takes quite a lot of time to translate the names of objects to search for information on them on English-language resources. It will be much easier if you get used to running the game in English, it's not as scary as it seems. :)

Plus, within the game itself, the bulk of the international community communicates with each other in English. Why do you need to communicate with them, I will tell you below, in the part about 820 chat.

    5. How to find any information on the game yourself.

    1. The simplest, but quite effective, is a search through Yandex and Google. You just type in the name of the game Path of Exile, and then write what interests you, absolutely any questions: (LINK REMOVED), (LINK REMOVED), (LINK REMOVED).
    2. Official English-language database of the game (). Almost all the important information on the game is written here, the accuracy and veracity of which is beyond doubt, since it is written by the developers themselves. There is also a Russian-language base for the game (), but information in it may not always keep up with the official base.
For example, on the skill page ( ) you can find information about the entire mechanics of its work, a table of levels and bonuses from improving quality, what a skill stone looks like and how you can get it - everything you need to know is in one place.
    3. Official forums: and. Here you can find a bunch of different information, articles from players, the best and most unusual builds, read discussions of ways to make money, etc. Search also works on the forums, don't forget about it.
    4. Video guides on Youtube ... There are a bunch of Russian-speaking and English-speaking authors here who regularly post really useful and interesting videos on the game. Enter the name of the game Path of Exile, or "poe" into the search bar and then what interests you: Example 1 , Example2.

    6. Pumping and passing the storyline.

The real PoE game begins at lvl 60-70, where your character is fully revealed and the main and most exciting part of the PoE game takes place. The preceding passage of the game on three difficulties is interesting, but this is only the initial stage, it makes no sense to linger in it for a long time.

When pumping, you need to try to go through the locations at such a speed that the level of your hero and the mobs in the location is about the same.

After opening the community window, you can join one of the open groups that go through the same missions as you. In a group, leveling up is slower than solo, but story missions are completed much faster.
Side quests can be returned and completed at any time.

Some builds have difficulty passing bosses. If you can't handle the solo boss, then you shouldn't spend a lot of time and nerves on him. Join an open group or ask for help from high-level players in the general chat. This is normal.

Important: By holding down the Ctrl button and clicking the mouse on the entrance to the location, or on the location point in the teleport, you will open a menu in which you can start this location again with new mobs and bosses. Thus, you can farm experience at any time if you are behind the mobs in level.

Important: Skill stones on the second weapon tab also gain experience when leveling up! Equip there any weapon with the maximum number of sockets and pump additional stones that you can use in the future or sell.

    7. Loot filter.

The game has a built-in loot filter that reveals valuable items and hides undeserving items. You can download loot filters modified by other players, this is approved by the developers.

There is a section on the forum where you can choose a ready-made loot filter to your liking:

One of the most popular and convenient loot filters that I also use can be found here:.
Despite the fact that everything is written in English, the filter works great with the Russian-language interface, it also shows the names of the items in Russian.
Link to download the file of the latest version of this filter:
Beginners are better off using the "Regular" version of this filter.

The loot filter file is installed in the C: \\ Users \\ User_name \\ Documents \\ My Games \\ Path of Exile folder, then enabled in the game settings in the interface section.

    8. What to do with the loot? Necessary and unnecessary loot.

From 1 to 60 lvl, with very rare exceptions, all things from mobs are full of slag and are only suitable for temporarily wearing them while your character is pumping lvl. You can safely sell any blue and yellow items of low levels to the NPC, you can't go wrong. Unique (brown) items often have useful bonuses and can be useful to you in the future, but if there is not enough space, feel free to sell them too.
From lvl 60 and above, rare (yellow) items can be collected in sets for exchange for chaos orbs at the NPC. This is one of the main types of earnings in the game.
Starting from about 70 lvl and up to the last 84 lvl cards, things with the best stats in the game are knocked out. Including those that can be worn by characters of low levels. These are the things that have value in the market.

The value of any item can be checked on the website
If you play on the Russian-language client of the game, you can see the translation of the name of things through a search in this database

(!) Check out the full list of Merchant Swap Recipes Everyone Should Know:
In English: (the most complete and up-to-date version)
    In Russian:

Here are some of the recipes to look out for:

Skill stones high quality in the amount of several pieces with a total quality of 40+ can be sold to a merchant in exchange for a Stone Cutter's Orb.
Vials high quality in a quantity of several pieces with a total quality of 40+ can be sold to a merchant in exchange for a Glass Orb.
Rockbreaker and other hammers that show the loot filter and their icon looks the same, put in a warehouse and save up. When you upgrade to high-tier cards and cards of 1-2 tiers are no longer needed, you can exchange 20% quality and one card for one Nail at the Rockbreaker merchant, which will be very useful in the late game or can be sold.
Rare (yellow) items of equipment with iLVL (item level) 60 and above. You can exchange the merchant for 1 Chaos Orb a set of Helmet, Armor, Boots, Gloves, Belt, Amulet, two Rings, as well as one Two-handed weapon or two One-handed weapons. If all items are not identified, then the merchant will give 2 Chaos Orbs for them. (!) This is one of the main ways to make money in the game.
To view the iLVL of an item, move your mouse over it and hold down the Alt key.

    9. Passage of the maze.

Due to the presence of special traps in it, the labyrinth is something completely different in gameplay from the rest of the game. Here you have to be careful and think about every step you take. in case of death, the labyrinth must be repeated.

The entrance to the Labyrinth is located in the city of Act 3.

For completing the labyrinth on different difficulties of the game, you get special points of passive skills that change your character almost as significantly as all the usual passive tree taken together.

It is better for beginners to go through the first labyrinth, pumping the character up to level 45-50 in order to have a confident advantage over mobs and the boss.

If you can't kill the boss of the labyrinth, then you can always ask for help from stronger players. The first, second and third labyrinths are usually helped to pass for free or for a nominal fee of 1-2 chaos. Help can be found in the lists of open groups in Act 3, or ask in the general chat.

When passing the maze, be sure to have with you:

One or more bottles that remove Bleeding and make you immune to it for a few seconds.

Movement skills. Lightning warp is slow, but suitable for any character with any weapon, while allowing you to move to the maximum distance, bypassing traps and some obstacles.

The fourth Labyrinth, the last and most difficult one, does not belong to any of the acts and is also called the Uber Labyrinth. Uber Lab Challenges can be found with a small chance when passing maps. Read about maps and how not to look for these challenges and go quickly one after another, read below.

There is no built-in auction in the game, but players buy and sell items using the site. Instead of gold coins, valuable spheres are used for exchange, with which you can change the characteristics of things in the game. There are many types of such spheres, but the main currency for buying and selling things is the Chaos Orb (chaos orb). Nice items for low levels are sold for alchemy orb and fusion orb.

    12. Ways of earning currency.

First... Knocking out valuable loot: currency, rare and unique things, cards and location cards, as well as items for exchanging merchants for currency.
    * Read the section on loot above in the text.

Farm mobs on locations and maps. The higher the level of the location or map, the more drop it has. Maps, like things, can be magical, rare and unique, while mods (conditions) appear on them, which significantly complicate their passage, but at the same time increase the quantity and quality of drops. There are a lot more things to find on the maps of the last level with a lot of mods than on the maps of the lower level in the MF gear.

Farm in mf-gear. Items of equipment that give the best bonuses to the quality and quantity of drops also give strong penalties to your character's stats. Therefore, only characters with suitable builds can farm effectively, fully dressed in mf gear.

Farm Bosses. They are difficult to kill, but they drop a lot of valuable loot at once. If your character is one of the few able to kill the most powerful bosses in the game, then the earnings can be very decent. This method is not for beginners.

Second... Providing services to other characters for currency and / or for drops. This is usually help in passing mazes and killing difficult bosses - Shaper, Atziri, Chayula, etc. Not for beginners.

A peculiar way of providing the service is to assist in passing the Über-maze. From each client, a lutinka "Offering to the Goddess" is collected, which can be sold for several chaos, and also one thing can be enchanted at each passage of the maze. If you are lucky with the enchanting, then the thing can cost very decent money.

Third... Crafting by changing items with different stones. Requires a large supply of stones (currency), as well as knowledge of game mechanics and market prices. Be careful, this can easily go broke. Not for beginners.

Fourth... Resale of currency. You buy a little cheaper, sell a little more. You follow the exchange rate. A specific way of making money, very far from turning mobs into minced meat, for which they usually come to a game of this genre. But you can make money while you go to stir the dumplings :)

    13. Microtransaction shop. (Shopping with real money)

Path of Exile has an in-game store for special items that can be purchased by donating some real money to the game developers.

Path of Exile is designed so that you can play without investing a dime. Here you cannot get any advantage over other players or speed up the leveling of your hero by buying something in the game store. Everything is fair.

However, there are a number of items in the store that can make your gameplay much more enjoyable. These are additional tabs of the character warehouse and guild, as well as additional cells for creating new characters.

If you ever want to help the developers with a coin and make your game more enjoyable, then first of all I recommend purchasing the following:

    1. Currency section (75 coins without discount). Allows you to conveniently stack currency in piles of up to 5000 pieces, instead of clogging up most of the warehouse in piles of 10-20 pieces. It is very helpful to buy first.
    2. Upgrade the personal chest section to premium (15 coins without discount). The premium tab can be made open for other players to view, allowing you to sell your items through the site and forums. Very helpful.
    3. Sets of regular sections and premium sections of a personal chest (150 and 200 coins without discount). The more storage space the better. Premium sections can also be renamed and color coded as desired, which allows for much better organization of your warehouse.

Everything you buy from the microtransaction store will remain in your account forever, and will be available for all your characters in all leagues.

IMPORTANT!: The developers regularly arrange discount sales of some of the store's products. On average, there are discounts for the chest section about once a month and a half.

With the exception of the section with account properties, the vast majority of things in the microtransaction store are purely for beauty. Although you can argue for a long time about the beauty of some of them :)
You can also get some decorations for free at various special events.
Very beautiful items can be obtained for achievements in temporary leagues - they are unique in that when the temporary league ends, these items can no longer be obtained in any way, even for money.

IMPORTANT!: The developers periodically arrange promotions, during which you can get a chest with a random item from the store, if you buy some even the cheapest item in the store for coins. I recommend not spending coins until the end, so that at least 10-15 coins remain on the account in case of such a promotion. If you're lucky, you can get a beautiful and expensive item from the chest, even for 300+ coins.

    14. Shelter, pumping masters.

The wizards allow you to add and change the characteristics of objects, and also from a certain level allow you to use one of the shelters as your personal territory in the game, which you can equip to your liking. Leveling up the master level unlocks additional functions, and also allows you to expand and decorate your shelter.

If you only train masters solo, it can take forever, given that you can only take one daily task from each master per day. But there are ways to complete these tasks much more often than your character is capable of alone - read below about 820 chat.

    15. Maps. Endgame content.

After passing the storyline on all three difficulties, the gameplay smoothly transitions to the passage of Maps. To get to the map, you need to find the object of the same name and use it in the Carrot Walker. It is available starting from Act 3 of difficulty 3, when NPC Zana appears in the side room in the Solaris Temple. Zana is a Master and is pumped like all other Masters, but she offers improvements not for things, but for Cards. She is the most valuable of the Masters and is slower to level than others.

Map progress can be viewed on the Karto Walker Atlas. Starting with Tier 1 cards, you progress towards the ultimate goal of Tier 16 - the game's most difficult boss, the Shaper. If until now you thought that you knew something about the game and pumped a strong character, then the high-tier cards will show you that you don't know nichrome yet and your character is a whipping boy)

IMPORTANT!: You can control the drop of your cards. When you hover the mouse over the map on the Atlas, you can see the place for a check mark - this is special. the task. If you knock out cards in the future, then mainly those whose tasks you completed will be dropped. But not all cards are equally useful and not all of them need to be in your loot!

    16. General chat number 820.

To search and offer mutual assistance, players come to the 820 channel of the general chat. Most of the players communicate in English, so you should enable the chat language “English” in the game settings and register the command “/ global 820”. There is also a chat in Russian 820, but there are significantly fewer players.

What you can find useful in this chat:

After the initial acquaintance with the game, when you already know the approximate basics of the game, you may face more difficult questions. Sometimes they are not even so much complex as specific, such that they are recognized only through experience. Therefore, in this part of the cycle, I will just talk about various extremely useful little things that anyone who is drawn into the game will appreciate and he clearly understands that he wants to understand everything better.

    1. Key talents.

The talents that greatly change the mechanics of playing as a character are the largest in the tree, but not always the most useful. Most often, each of them is suitable only for a specific character, such as the talent Resolute Technique, which gives your hits a 100% chance to hit, but absolutely removes critical damage, it makes sense to take only those characters that have little accuracy and little or do not have any amplifiers of critical strike chance at all.
This is usually suitable for melee characters who pump into strength and armor, love to stun and make enemies bleed. Accuracy rarely comes across on their equipment, they have little dexterity by nature and they do not shine with critical hits, but their basic physical damage is high. And when every third blow misses the target, it is difficult not to guess that something needs to be done. And such a talent is helpful, it adds, in fact, 30% dps (removing misses with every third attack) and takes almost nothing, but for a dexterous criter, with a 98% chance of hitting and a 15% chance of a critical hit, this talent will not be easy useless, but harmful. This is how almost every key talent in the game works, so read carefully what exactly it takes from you and what it gives.

    2. What is the most common leveling experience for experienced players?

Most players who do it practically do not kill all monsters on the map and do not scout every corner of it ... With experience, an approximate understanding comes in which side this or that passage to a new location will be, and killing monsters goes parallel to the process of moving from point A to point B on quests. Of course, you are free to play the way you like, but this tactic is definitely more profitable.
The game has straight and even maps, which are best used in order to catch up with the level of the location in which you are. Most often it is the Aqueduct and the Bloody Aqueduct. These locations are completely straight, making it easier to navigate and not miss various objects, such as Wizards or Chests. Also, in the side, small branches of these cards there are always packs of blue (magic) monsters, and magic monsters give more experience for killing and are very useful for leveling. This applies not only to the Aqueduct, but to any locations. The third advantage of these locations is that a fortune-telling card Humility drops there, from which Tabula Rasa is assembled, a consistently useful item for beginners that never sags in price on the market. This is a 6-link armor that has no level requirements, but does not give any characteristics.

    3. Do not forget to complete the Labyrinth and the Labyrinth tests.

Labyrinth gives a very large number of characteristics that your character needs , sometimes even changes the gameplay quite strongly, most often greatly simplifying and improving it. You should not go to the lab unprepared, this will only eat up your time and depress you yourself, because after death you will have to go through it completely again. Dial a couple, or maybe even five levels from above and then boldly go to kill Izaria. Enchants or enchantments from the room after the boss of the Labyrinth, along with the ascent class, will greatly increase the power of your character.

    4. In addition to the main attack skill, you must have other skills that give the character more survivability, speed or some kind of passive bonuses.

These are: Golems, skills Baal, Auras, Heralds, Curses, Call to Immortality, Cry .
Golems are minions that give a unique bonus depending on the type of golem, always the required skill. Recall as soon as he dies.
Vaal skills - there are both attacking and utilitarian, attacking less versatile, and of the utilitarian ones, Vaal Haste, Vaal Grace are almost always good, which are short-term buffs.
Auras - block most of your mana, but give damage or survivability.
Heralds - block a small part of your mana, give damage and various elemental effects.
Curses are temporary debuffs on enemies.
    Calls are temporary buffs.
Call for immortality. This skill is worth mentioning separately. A lot of builds use the combination Call to Immortality (3 levels) + Cast when taking damage (1 level), which automatically triggers a second immunity to physical damage after receiving a certain portion of any damage. Will increase your survivability extremely notably, and also think about what kind of enchantment you would like to combine with Cast? There may be curses, there may be some kind of slowing skill. Experiment! PoE has several skills that are triggered by certain conditions, you can do interesting things with them.

    5. Game mechanics of past and present leagues.

Caskets, Corrupted Areas, Essences, Masters, Spirits, Wandering Exiles, Rifts, Abyss - there are a lot of them, but this is always useful and pleasant content that gives a lot of loot and experience. Don't miss them! Especially the Masters, about which in the next paragraph.

    6. Your refuge.

Shelter needs to be in it teleport, interact with certain NPCs there and later open portals to maps in a more convenient and comfortable place. You will also need a shelter for trading, since usually the one who invites the buyer (that is, the seller) sends the buyer an invitation to the group, and he, in turn, teleports to the seller's shelter.

    7. Trade. Buying items.

There will be a separate article about this, but in short: there are two sites https://ru.pathofexile.com/trade/search - Russian and http://poe.trade/ - in which there are some missing tools, but it is only on English. For a long time, this toolkit did not give up to you to hell, so use Russian. So how does it work? In the beginning, you will buy yourself the simplest thing - unique items, especially if you are going to play according to someone's builds, there are always desirable or mandatory unique items, and sometimes they are very cheap, 1 orb of alchemy, 1-2 orbs of a goldsmith or 1 orb of chaos. And now you have this area, you have a website, and you want unique, what to do? Write the name in the main field, a list of online merchants will drop out, under their names there is a "Message" button. Press, go back to the game, open the chat, press ctrl + v, send. If the seller agrees to sell the item now, he invites you to the group, you right-click on his portrait, click "Go to the shelter", they throw you a trade, you give the currency, you are given the item. Done! 5 seconds and no big deal.
If you want a simple rare equipment with simple mods, like resists or life, click in the window of the trading site "add a property filter" and write there for example "cold", a list with all the mods where there is a word cold will drop out, choose resistance to cold , add as many mods as you need. Choose in the "item category" the equipment slot you need, a sword, a hat or a shield, and rarely "rare" (if you want a yellow item) and look for it. That's the whole terrible trade as the guys coming from MMORPG draw it. "Where is the auction?!?!", On the auction site. Inconvenient - yes, tolerable - yes ... And already selling items is another matter, but about that not today.

    8. System of Leagues.

Every 3 months a new league starts where everyone has empty chests, no characters and nothing at all. Everything from scratch, the economy too. When the league ends, all characters are promoted to Standard (or hardcore standard if the character was created in a hardcore league). All characters from all old leagues are cooked in the standard (a terrible place, to be honest, there are such items that it is even scary to look at). So you will either continue your progress after 3 months on the standard, without getting goodies from the new league, or start all over again in the new league if you want to enjoy the new game mechanics.

    9. Each character needs a movement skill.

Blade Flurry, Leap Slam, Lightning Passage, Fire Dash, Teleport Arrow, Shield Bash. One of them. And you need to attach a support gem to them to speed up casting a spell, if it's a spell, or to an attack speed, if it's an attack. This is necessary to dodge AoE abilities of different bosses and jump over impassable places on the map. Some builds move faster, only using such skills, forgetting about LMB and walking.

    10. The paramount, most important recipes of the merchants.

Three multi-colored interconnected jacks , red + green + blue. By selling such an item of any rarity to the NPC merchant you get chromatic orb or in Russian color sphere ... She repaints the colors of the sockets on the object and stands on trades between people, most often 1/10 of the sphere of chaos. Collect ten of these items, sell them to a merchant, and you can exchange them for a sphere, for which good items are often sold.
Item with six sockets when selling to a merchant will give you 7 Goldsmith Orbs , which also travel at the rate of 1/10 of the Chaos Orb (most often). A very profitable recipe, if not everyone makes a recipe for a colored one, then everyone picks up items with 6 sockets.

    11. The main currency.

No matter how many currencies there are, people are simple creatures, everything will be reduced to some common denominator. there is chaos spheres , this is the main currency of the game, which is most often used when trading. It is not the most expensive, but not the cheapest either. All other currencies are converted at their own rate to chaos realms. Commonwealth items are also sold either for chaos or, for extremely cheap items, for alchemists. Expensive items go for Orbs of Exaltation (1 Orb ranges in price from 60 to 100 chaos, depending on the league stage).

    12. If you need to create a duplicate location.

Go to the transition to the desired location or city portal, press Ctrl + LMB on the location you need or on the direct passage to it, if you are not in the city and choose to create a new instance. It can be useful when farming Aqueduct and Bloody Aqueduct to quickly run through a location, create a new one, run, and so on.

    Review of last week's announcements

    Site | ru | February 20, 2017 at 03:53 AM

The past week has been very busy! We've announced the Fall of Oriath and the Legacy Challenge League! Various details of the updates were published on third-party sites and many players may not have noticed this information. Today we have collected links to

This article is intended to explain what design decisions formed the basis of the add-on, and how some of the new features work. Not all changes are described in the article, but this may change before the 1.2.0 release.

The main goals of the add-on

We had four big goals in mind for the Forsaken Masters mini expansion:

    • Add new content that will complement the game as a whole, and at the same time will be available to novice players on Normal difficulty
    • Debug new content so that it's available even on endgame maps
    • Expand crafting options, but don't make it too easy to get better items
    • Rebalance the game around certain changes: an updated passive skill tree and getting rid of snapshots
    • Add cool and interesting content that will appeal to both the core of our community and those people who want to play for a short time, although every day

How is the reputation pumping with Masters

Each master offers a different type of assignment, which has many different variations and different combinations of events. We have so far talked about two masters, there are five more left - each with its own type of task and its variations.

On Normal difficulty, the player gradually becomes familiar with the Masters (a couple for each act). After Normal difficulty, Masters can spawn at any location, including the most recent maps.

When a player completes a task of a DM, he increases his reputation with this DM and receives "location points". Reputation is a kind of analogue of experience; it determines the level of the Master. There are 8 levels in total. Location Points are used as currency for purchasing hideout decorations from the DM.

There are two ways to receive an assignment from the Master:

    • Accidentally find the Master somewhere in the location. They can appear at any location, including maps. After finding the Master, you must complete the task at the same location. The number of such missions per day is not limited by anything, but they increase the reputation only slightly
Daily tasks. Once the Master has appeared in your hideout, you can complete one of his tasks per day without having to look for the Master throughout Raiklast. This means that casual players will be able to maintain an adequate rate of progress, although they will not be able to catch up with those who play a lot and therefore more often meet Masters in locations.

After you have helped the Master for the first time, he begins to appear in cities.

As the reputation level rises, the player receives:

    • Large shelters capable of accommodating more Masters
    • More items on sale from Masters, which are updated every day
    • More possibilities for crafting
    • More asylum decoration

To obtain the 8th level of reputation with each of the 7 Masters, you will not need many years of effort - this is even implied by the presence of such an achievement as obtaining this level in 3 months in one of the temporary leagues. It's easier to get 8th level only from a few selected Masters - the limit on the number of Masters in the hideout determines the number of available daily tasks.

    Daily tasks

While having daily quests is a great way to level up the Masters, the main purpose of these quests is to make them fairly easy to access for casual players. We expect that the main pumping of Masters by active players will take place in the course of regular play and on maps. For example, the average player can complete one daily task for each Master and then 3-4 additional (for each Master) in one game session, if he strives to reach the maximum level.

Many MMORPGs, with their daily quests, give players a sense of coercion - if they are not completed, efficiency is greatly reduced. In our case, this is not so - you can skip playing for several days, and then complete several quests in one day, finding Masters for this at locations. There is also no limit to the number of tasks that can be completed in one day.

    Craftsmen as traders

Like regular NPCs, Craftsmen can sell items. But unlike ordinary vendors, the range of goods from the Masters changes once a day (at midnight GMT). Each master sells both common items and specific items for his own class.

At the moment, depending on the level of reputation, the following types of items can be found on sale from the Master:

    • level 1: multiple unidentified magic items
    • level 2: one unidentified rare item
    • level 3: Multiple Skill Gems
    • level 4: one magic item with a special, powerful property
    • level 5: one identified yellow thing
    • level 6: sets of currencies at more favorable (as compared to regular vendors) prices
    • level 7: Item Level 60+
    • level 8: chance of spawning a unique item - common rarity, very rarely rarer

The prices are such that you won't want to buy out the entire store every day from every Master. For example, there is little sense in buying Redbeak for 5 orbs of chaos, and if it is Dream Fragments, the deal will be successful.

    How shelters work

Each master has his own hideout, with his own type of location. As soon as the player reaches the 3rd level of reputation, the DM offers to see his hideout. If you like it, you can make it your own - it's free.

As your reputation levels increase, you will be able to increase the size of your hideout. The shelters will be of three sizes, each of which can accommodate a different number of Masters (from 2x to 4x).

Wizards and other objects, such as your chest or guild chest, you can freely move and swap. You can place a workbench in the shelter (about it a little later) of any Master. All cosmetic jewelry purchased from the Masters can also be installed, changed and removed for free.

Effects are purchased from Masters for “location points”, which are given along with reputation for completing tasks. They go into a special chest of your hideout. Later, we may be able to sell some jewelry sets for real money. We are considering selling special hideout mannequins so that you can use purchased cosmetic effects for your character on them. All of these things may be ready with the 1.2.0 patch, or we will add them later with subsequent patches.

Please note that the progress of reputation with the Masters and the state of your hideout is the same for all your characters in a particular league. If you create a new character in a league in which you have already played, he will be able to take advantage of your shelter and the services provided by the pumped Masters. Opened decorations are sent to a specific hideout chest of a particular league and go to the Standard or Hardcore league in the same way as items from the race chests.

You can invite friends to visit your hideout or provide it for the guild. We are still developing rules for such actions.

    Crafting with the expected result

There are several goals we wanted to achieve in order to improve the crafting system.

    • Give players a real opportunity to create sockets and connections between them. You can still hope for randomness (it may turn out to be cheaper), but those players who do not want to spend 2000 fusing and then be left without a thing with six associated sockets can now get it at the workbench for 1500 fusing. Please note that the chance of getting a 6-link in the usual way has always been slightly lower than 1 in 1500, so now you have a choice - to hope for luck or to get an unambiguous result.
    • Allow players with high level characters to change sockets on items with the "corrupted" mod.
    • Give players the option to add a mod item of their choice. Using this feature, you can either slightly tweak the mod (for example, add a little to the fire resist), or try to improve an item that does not yet have six mods. There is an opportunity to craft special and specific mods.
    • Crafting the perfect rare item isn't any easier. High mod values \u200b\u200bfor rare items will still be very difficult to achieve.

From the moment the Master first appears in your hideout, you can place the appropriate workbench there. The higher the level of the Master, the more possibilities this workbench has. Only the owner of the shelter can use the workbenches. When you click on the workbench, a special window will appear where you can place an item. A list of possible actions with this item and their cost will appear.

Below we will tell you what the two announced Masters can do.

    • Vorici - Crafting Sockets: Depending on the level of the Master, the number of sockets that can be added to the item increases, the number of sockets connected. The wizard gives you the ability to repaint sockets even in colors that cannot be obtained in the usual way. Each change requires the same orbs as usual, but the cost is significantly higher than the average for simply using the orbs to get the same effect. At the eighth level, Vorici makes it possible to change sockets on things with the "corrupted" mod.
    • Haku - Crafting Armor: You can add a new mod to an item of armor if there is room for it. The number of different mods increases with the level of Haku. These mods can be corrective (fixing a low roll of an important mod), special (fixing a roll that usually does not appear on a given type of item) and very specific. You cannot add more than one such mod to one thing, but you can change it if you wish. Many other Masters provide the ability to craft mods for other types of things.

    Prizes in new Leagues

Each of the Leagues contains 8 challenges. For completing all eight you get an exclusive T-shirt (it seems some people are willing to pay $ 1000 for one on the black market).

It is very difficult to describe the complexity of these tests. But, for example, here's the number of people who received T-shirts in past seasons - 14 (for Ambush and Invasion) and 61 (for Anarchy and Onslaught).

With the new Rampage and Beyond Leagues, we're changing the challenge reward system.

    • Anyone who completes 5 challenges will receive a special cosmetic effect
    • Anyone who completes 8 challenges will receive an additional special cosmetic effect
    • The first 50 players to complete all challenges will receive a T-shirt.

All this encourages attempts to complete at least 5 tests and allows us to make all the tests a little easier, so instead of dozens of people, hundreds of tests can be completed. And the fastest 50 will still get their shirts.

    Duration of new Leagues

Leagues usually lasted 4 months due to the fact that it took us 4-5 months to prepare the next update. We're planning to add the next big piece of content in March, so instead of launching a six-month League, we've decided to have two sets of three-month races. This is partly due to the fact that we have so many cool ideas for different Leagues. Therefore, we will launch the next Leagues in December for the Christmas period.

Players have often complained that in the last couple of weeks, four-month leagues are getting boring and they are just waiting for the current Leagues to merge with the Standard. At first, we were worried that shortening them to three months would simply shift the boring waiting period, but now we are almost sure that this is due to the fact that people just become better at playing PoE (they reach high levels faster and endgame - content). We'll close our eyes on how these Leagues will play out and will plan the next based on our data and your feedback.

Changes to the Passive Skill Tree

We have redone quite large areas on the Tree - primarily the starting areas of the Witch and Shadow and the adjacent areas for the Witch, Shadow and Ranger.

The Shadow zone now contains areas with physical + elemental nodes (instead of separate zones for melee fighters and spellcasters). This makes it possible not to get stuck on the type of attacks until later in the game.

Groups of nodes with elemental and weapon bonuses for Witch, Shadow and Ranger are now quite impressive and provide more opportunities for development.

One of our goals was to make sure that new players, moving to a large sector of similar nodes, get the basis for a good build. They should have a rich selection of nodes to improve on. Previously, one of the largest sectors was the sector with curses. Many Witches on their way to him received rather lengthy results.

Players will be able to reset the Passive Skill Tree one time with the release of patch 1.2.0. If the changes to the Wood affect your old build, passive skills will be reset automatically.

There are 3 more innovations that we have not announced yet. We are constantly working on improvements to the Tree and will tell you about them shortly before the expansion is released.

    Balance Skill and Mana Cost

We've reworked a lot of skills for the expansion. Some rarely used ones have received powerful bonuses. And the mana cost for all skills has decreased.
