    The most sensitive type. Aloe
    Pharmacodynamics
In scientific pharmacology, it is used as a non-specific regeneration biostimulator (with an unknown mechanism of action), but is contraindicated in diseases of the cardiovascular system, high blood pressure and kidney diseases. In the form of homeopathic potency, it detects tropism for the portal circulation system and the pelvic organs against the background of congestion in these areas.

most sensitive type- loose, full-blooded, full-blooded lymphatic of mature and senile age, lethargic and low-energy. Women of this constitution suffer from diseases in the genital area.

Modalities- worse after eating, sleeping, hot weather and local heat; better in cold weather, in open air, under local action of cold.

    Leading Symptoms
Feeling of fullness and heaviness in the region of the kidneys, bladder and rectum. Irresistible urge to stool immediately after eating or drinking.
Weak sphincters of the anus and bladder. Urinary and fecal incontinence; even hard stools can be passed involuntarily. Frequent urge to urinate, sometimes bleeding from the bladder. Constant coldness of extremities (mainly feet). Desire for sour, salty.

    Indications for use
Hemorrhoids with burning and fecal incontinence. Diarrhoea, with violent rumbling in abdomen before stool, imperative urging, and fecal incontinence. Prolapse of the rectum. Diseases of the genital area in women. Painful menstruation with heaviness and leucorrhea. Menstrual bleeding. Miscarriage. Pain in the sacrum and coccyx (due to a rush of blood to the organs of the small pelvis) extending to the legs, with a feeling of numbness, crawling, fatigue, weakness.

Sabur is from the lily family. Tinctures and rubbings are prepared from the juice flowing from the leaves. Its rich pathogenesis is found in the American Homeopathic Review, Volumes IV - VI, translated by Hering. Aloe is a remedy for hemorrhoids, fat and full-blooded people with oxaluria (although their urine gives a Fehling reaction, they should not be confused with diabetics). This is a remedy for mature and senile age, as well as for women with diseases in the genital area, and the latter do not affect their nervous system. These remarks are confirmed when we see that the allopathic authors (who give aloe in large doses) are afraid of intensifying its effect on living and irritable subjects and prescribe it only to sluggish and low-energy lymphatics. This is what our authors have always taught. Deterioration. - After eating and drinking; early in the morning; in hot weather. Improvement. - In cold weather. Characteristic 1. Abdominal plethora with a feeling of fullness and pressure on the bottom or a feeling of heaviness in the anus and bladder. 2. Relaxation of the sphincter of the anus: the patient tries to refrain from urinating and releasing gases for fear of simultaneous involuntary bowel movements, which nevertheless sometimes happens to him (Oleander). 3. Even large and dense fecal masses stand out as if unnoticed by the patient. 4. Almost constant coldness of the extremities (mainly the feet). 5. Nose reddens rather strongly, without reddening of other parts of the face; sensitive to touch. Pain. The rush of blood to the pelvis is manifested mainly by pain and stabbing in the sacrum and coccyx. In the limbs there is a feeling of numbness, crawling, fatigue, weakness, stitching pains, as from a dislocation, or great tension. Stool: diarrhea. it usually appears in the morning, from 2 am to 10 am, often causing the patient to jump out of bed. Stools yellow, pasty, clotted and watery, before stool pain in lower abdomen and around umbilicus; these pains continue during defecation. The stool is often mucus, like jelly, bloody, or clear. Sometimes this mucus is secreted in large quantities and flows out of the anus unnoticed by the patient. A symptom very characteristic of aloe diarrhea is a strong rumbling in the abdomen just before the stool. But the most characteristic of aloe stools: an irresistible urge to stool immediately after eating or drinking; weakness of the sphincter, which makes it impossible to hold feces. Constipation is sometimes noted in pathogenesis, but for the most part it is only a secondary phenomenon or reaction. In these cases, weakness of the sphincter is also observed - solid feces can be released involuntarily, completely unnoticed by the patient. Menses. Trousseau noted pain and a feeling of heaviness in the uterus and groin, increased leucorrhoea, uterine colic, more severe during menstruation, increased menstrual bleeding. These symptoms are in perfect agreement with the numerous indications of our pathogenesis, and we can only add that Aloe accelerates menstruation. Summary Destroying congestion in the portal system and hemorrhoidal veins, aloe is a remedy for axalurics suffering from hemorrhoids. Relaxation of the anal sphincter is a classic indication. The subject is afraid to urinate or pass gases, fearing that this will also pass feces. Prolapse of the rectum in children.

    indications for use

Main indications Diarrhea with the above features: uncontrollable urge, relaxation of the sphincter of the anus. DYSENTERY. Aloe is here indicated for great tenesmus and fainting after every stool. HEMORRHOIDS, with prolapsing painful lumps, causing burning and tenesmus. Trousseau, who stated the curative effect of aloe in hemorrhoids, writes, however: “one or two grams of aloe is enough to quickly cause a slight irritation of the rectum, which strongly resembles hemorrhoidal congestion; in some cases, you can even get quite a lot of bleeding from the hemorrhoidal vessels. RECTAL PROlapse in children. HEADACHE. Pain, predominantly in the supraorbital region; pressing, deep, worse from heat and better from cold. Two symptoms help in choosing in these cases: irritation of the gastrointestinal tract, expressed by painful and frequent stools, and coldness of the lower extremities, as a result of a rush of blood to the brain centers. LUMBAGO (Lumbago, which is so often observed in those suffering from hemorrhoids. Irritability of the SKIN with itching in old people with a bilious temperament. Claude, Béricket, Hughes and most authors advise the use of rather low dilutions, from 1st to 6th.

    action on the body

Physiological action Aloe, no matter how it is introduced into the body, always acts as a laxative; acts slowly and, at medium doses, the stool looks like a cloudy liquid. Aloe causes congestion to the rectum and abdominal organs, especially to the pelvic organs and, in particular, to the genitourinary. The result of this may be a feeling of heaviness in the kidneys and in the anus and hemorrhoids in predisposed subjects; frequent urge to urinate, sometimes bleeding from the bladder, increased menstrual bleeding and even miscarriage. It enhances sexual desire. This, in short, according to allopaths, is the action of aloe. But repeated testing by homeopaths on healthy people, at various doses, has revealed many other properties that make aloe a valuable tool in our therapy.

I can’t boast that my indoor plants grow very well, but the aloe has grown extraordinary. A real tree, although it grew in a pot on a glazed veranda. It grew up and in breadth, became multi-stemmed, shaggy, for which he received the nickname of his grandfather. Its dimensions clearly threatened to exceed the spatial capacity of our apartment. Once a guest came to us, and I shared with her our anxieties about the “grandfather”. She looked appraisingly at the aloe, and then at me and said: “Well, if you don’t mind, then I’ll take it from you and ... eat it.” "Grandfather" was cut off. It turned out that our guest for many years used the agave almost as a panacea - a remedy for all diseases. She ground its leaves in a meat grinder, added a little sugar to soften the bitterness and alcohol to prevent fermentation, after which the drug was ready for use. When there were signs of a cold, general malaise or discomfort from the gastrointestinal tract, she took the drug in a teaspoon several times a day with a constant, according to her, positive result.

In homeopathy, aloe is also listed among the medicinal substances. A homeopathic preparation is prepared from sabur, the condensed juice of several types of aloe, most often Aloe succotrina, which is why the drug is called aloe socotrine. The name is associated with the island of Socotra, according to legend, conquered by Alexander the Great precisely because of the production of sabur that existed there, which was used as an external remedy for burns, cracks and wounds that did not heal for a long time. During the Great Patriotic War, aloe juice was also used to treat long-term non-healing wounds. It is known that sabur was part of the "elixir of youth". Judging by my guest, who at her advanced age kept her youth alive, successfully treated with aloe for all diseases, then you begin to reconsider your attitude to the healing possibilities of this plant.

As a novice homeopath, I knew how to prescribe aloe for certain forms of colitis, and such a widespread use of it by my friend seemed strange to me. In several cases, which are very unpleasant for the patients (the bowel lesion in them was accompanied by uncertainty in the muscle that blocks the anus), the results were excellent.

The incident with the "grandfather" aroused my interest in the plant. I thoroughly studied the subject and learned a lot of interesting and instructive things. Now, having thirty years of experience in healing, you appreciate such small “stories” more and more. After all, not only the study of pharmacology or special homeopathic pharmacodynamics, but also any information that emotionally touches the doctor, sharpens observation, and therefore leads to more successful treatment.

Aloe belongs to the lily family. The species most familiar to us is aloe vera, growing in our home conditions and cultivated in the Caucasus, Crimea and Central Asia, a relatively small and extremely rarely flowering plant. Hence the name "agave" (blooms once every hundred years). The number one hundred is very "round", therefore it is attractive and impressive. In fact, aloe blooms every 5 - 6 years. In the greenhouse of the New York Botanical Garden, I happened to see several flowering plants at once. A single flower resembles a tiny tiger lily in shape with a pastel color. At home, in South and tropical Africa, on the Arabian Peninsula and the islands of Madagascar and Socotra, some types of aloe reach a height of 18 m and look like real trees. But among them there are perennial grasses, and shrub forms, and even creepers. They are all succulent plants that tolerate drought well. Often they are used as landscape, decorating alleys in the parks of resort towns.

The peoples of the Middle East had a custom to hang aloe over the entrance to the house - magical properties were attributed to it. In Egypt, this custom is still alive today. And there is a lot of magic in the plant. Aloe leaves and juice contain enzymes, vitamins, phytoncides, organic acids, glycosides, resinous substances. They are widely used in medical practice for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory organs, skin, and mucous membranes. When keeping aloe leaves in adverse conditions (cold, dark) in them. special substances are formed - biostimulants, which are able to enhance metabolic processes in tissues, increase the body's resistance to infections, and help to quickly eliminate inflammatory processes. This feature of the plant was discovered and introduced into medical practice by Academician V.P. Filatov.

From homeopathic positions, the plant was studied by the American homeopathic doctor K. Gering. On one of the features of the action of aloe, the therapeutic principle of homeopathy is well demonstrated - the principle of similarity. A large dose of aloe gives a pronounced laxative effect. In homeopathic doses, the action is diametrically opposite, fixing. The homeopathic preparation of aloe is used for disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the liver, kidneys, bladder, in gynecological practice, and for certain types of headaches. Use in small doses makes the homeopathic remedy free from harmful side effects, and therefore contraindications to use disappear.

Aloe is not poisonous, but its excessive use can contribute to a rush of blood to the organs of the abdominal cavity, small pelvis, and this may be contraindicated in some situations. This should be remembered during treatment, following the reaction of the body (which, however, is necessary even in cases where food plants are used - such as parsley, onion, garlic, radish, pepper, and many others).

In essays on herbal medicine by I. Kovaleva, it is recommended to grind aloe with your hands to avoid its contact with metal, after cutting off the spines, and pour the resulting juice with twice as much hot honey. For lung diseases, a mixture of aloe juice with fats, honey and cocoa is often recommended. I do not like mixtures of any kind: in such a treatment, the main "actor" remains unclear. And yet I have no reason to doubt their effectiveness.

In Ukraine, aloe is called a prickly flower. They perceive it as a domestic plant, not thinking about its overseas origin. It does not bloom - it's an agave! A rare window in the houses of small towns and villages does without its dull green spreading branches, plucked off in case of need for the benefit of people.

Lectures on Homeopathic Materia Medica by James Tyler Kent

    Aloe

Aloe / Aloe - scarlet present (tree-like, prickly). Planets - Jupiter, Mars.

    Basic dosage forms. Homeopathic granules D3, C3, C6 and above. Drops D2, D3, C3, C6 and above.

Indications for use. A remedy that restores physiological balance in diseases whose symptoms are confused. It is effective in diseases associated with venous stasis, in hypochondriacal subjects, weary of life, dissatisfied and dissatisfied with themselves, old beer drinkers. Applied for acute chronic colitis, accompanied by flatulence; portal hyperemia, fecal incontinence.

Worse, in the morning, when warm, after eating, on motion.

Better in cold weather, after stool or flatulence.

Aloe, like Aesculus, cures congestion in the veins, which causes stiffness and swelling throughout the body, but the greatest disorders occur in the veins of the portal system, accompanied by severe congestion in the liver, abdomen, rectum and intestines. This has a direct connection with the expansion of the hemorrhoidal veins.

This remedy is characterized by pains in the abdomen, which causes an urge to stool, like Nux vomica; cutting, convulsive pain around the umbilicus. Pain around the navel, extending into the rectum, cutting like a knife. Dysentery and diarrhea. With diarrhea, a small amount of yellow, with an unpleasant smell of feces, burning like fire; soreness in the anus. It is difficult for the patient to keep the stool in himself, by force of will he keeps the sphincter in a contracted state, since it is worth forgetting about it, as liquid stools will pour out. The patient cannot even afford to release gases, as they will immediately be followed by liquid fecal masses. In Aloe diarrhea, the abdomen is distended with flatus, causing a feeling of swelling and heaviness, with frequent urge to stool. Small children, after they learn to walk, involuntarily throw everything out of themselves onto the carpet - small yellow drops of mucus and feces. The mother sometimes punishes the baby, but he cannot control himself, he cannot hold a chair in himself, this happens spontaneously due to poor control of the sphincter. This condition is not always associated with diarrhoea, as sometimes children involuntarily miss small, hard, round, ball-like pieces of stool. Sometimes they do not even feel that feces have come out of them. Such relaxation of the rectum and protrusion of the anus are accompanied by the appearance of bleeding hemorrhoids. After each serving of food, the child has the urge to defecate, often this happens after drinking water.

Diarrhea after eating oysters out of season. Perhaps the doctor wants to prescribe Lycopodium, because the books recommend giving Lycopodium in cases of oyster poisoning. I don't think it's justifiable to treat oyster poisoning in season with Lycopodium and out of season with Aloe. But you can get very poisoned by oysters in the heat and during the breeding season, which does not happen at other times of the year. Very many people experience nausea, bloating, and indomitable vomiting for several days after eating food. In this case, with this group of symptoms, Lycopodium will help and remove the tendency to fall ill every time after eating oysters. But if you notice that the patient has cholera-like complaints after eating oysters during the hot season, Aloe will help him in this case.

This remedy has not yet been sufficiently tested, so I first turned my attention to things that can be used in clinical practice. In its association with venous troubles it is closer to Sulfur than to any other remedy. If Kali bichromicum, Sulfur and Aloe are studied at the same time, their connection with the stomach and intestines is surprising.

Among a small number of mental symptoms are the following: "She knew she would die in a week"; "life is an unbearable burden"; "reluctance to move." This remedy does not have many distinguishing features and only a few that are common to many other remedies. The Aloe patient is extremely sensitive to pain, which is usually located in the abdomen. Colicky pains, gas pains in the abdomen, such as to drive one to despair - the patient is very irritable and agitated during such attacks. A small but striking sign: "Hatred of people, rejects everyone."

Congestion in the head during an upset bowel is a type of venous congestion such as occurs in the portal system. "Headache in forehead." Headaches, which are aggravated by heat, are ameliorated by cold applications. Aggravation from heat and relief from cold are characteristic of Aloe diseases. The patient wants to be in a cold room; he is hot, his skin burns; the skin is often hot and dry; at night in bed “I want to open up; burning in limbs; hot hands and cold feet or vice versa. Sensation of heat in the head, wants to apply something cool to it. But this is surface warmth, not feverish heat from within. Sensation of heat on the surface, sensation of stagnation and swelling of the surface of the body; blood-filled and swollen veins all over the body. This remedy is characterized by bleeding, venous bleeding from the nose, intestines, bladder. Phlebeurysm; hot skin. Violent burning in the orifices of the body, eyes, mouth and throat, sensation of burning and burning. Dryness, burning and irritation around the anus.

Under the heading "Eating and drinking" we find the following symptoms: "Shortly after supper, rumbling in the abdomen." Colicky pains in the intestines after eating and drinking, without diarrhoea; even if there is constipation.

This tool helps those who have long been abusing beer. Diarrhea caused by the abuse of beer. Those who have diarrhea every time after drinking beer are likely to benefit from Aloe if the symptoms are similar, but sometimes it is better to take Kali bichromicum, as the two remedies are very similar in their gastric and intestinal symptoms. "Belching with oppressed stomach." This is another example of the tendency for the veins and capillaries to overflow. Vomiting blood, bleeding from the intestines.

The region of the liver is very painful, with burning, burning, etc. Mainly in the right hypochondrium there is a sensation of distension and swelling. It is a well-known liver remedy. It is not as deep in action as Sulfur. May serve as a palliative when followed by Sulphur, Sulphuricum acidum, Kali bichromicum, or Sepia; the remedies following Aloe complete and complete its action. Aloe is good to take at the onset of liver disease when the area feels very distended, swollen, with sharp, stabbing pains and dry, burning skin, without fever. Aloe may cause a slight fever, but this burning sensation of the skin with its dryness without fever is reminiscent of what we see in psoric patients. Tests of the drug do not fully allow us to say whether Aloe causes a rash or not, but if this can be proven to some extent, then it will be possible with good reason to classify this remedy as an antipsoric remedy. Aloe is not a long acting constitutional remedy like Sulfur, but at the same time it is not as fast acting as Aconite or Belladonna. The disease develops at a moderate rate. The remedy can be well supplemented with Bryonia. It does not act so deeply on the tissues as Sulfur does.

One of the characteristic features of trouble in the abdominal cavity is a feeling of fullness, stretching and rumbling. It seems that the stomach is about to burst, and the sounds in the stomach are so loud that it seems that everyone in the room can hear them. Continuous gurgling in the abdomen. Kal comes out with a noise like a faucet. The text of earlier writers speaks of this as hissing and splashing, since the exit of fecal masses is accompanied by a large amount of gurgling and hissing gases. The abdomen feels very distended from the accumulation of much flatus, even after it has passed. It doesn't bring relief. The pain is especially noticeable across the abdomen, in the region of the hip joints. Great distension of the abdomen, as if it would burst in the region of the transverse colon, ascending or descending colon; pain; rumbling, gurgling, heaviness and a feeling of fullness.

"Twisting and constricting pains in the upper part of the abdomen, around the navel, forcing the patient to sit in a bent position, which brings relief." "Feeling of weakness in the abdomen, as if diarrhea would come on." General weakness is sometimes so severe that the patient cannot get out of bed, despite the constant urge to defecate. The physician may mistakenly think of the Podophyllum patient with his extreme prostration. The case of Podophyllum is characterized by bloating, great looseness of the stool, flatulence, great gurgling in the bowels, with symptoms at 4:00 in the morning. In this situation, Aloe is again similar to Sulfur. the patient jumps out of bed early in the morning with an urge to a chair, at times pulls his legs out of the sheets to cool them; his soles are burning and he wants to open them. Pressing pain in the abdomen, feeling of weakness in the abdomen. "Tenderness in the whole abdomen, especially on the sides of the abdomen, on either side of the navel." The abdomen is so sensitive that it is impossible to find a comfortable position. "Dull pain in the abdomen, as if after a cold, renewed in the morning and evening."

Abdominal symptoms are also characteristic, having more to do with women's diseases than with diarrhoea. "Feeling as if a wedge had been placed between the pubic symphysis and the coccyx." “Pains resembling labor pains in the groin and small of the back; increased pain when standing. Aloe helps in uterine prolapse from standing for a long time, when it is accompanied by swelling, heat on the surface of the body, tendency to diarrhea in the morning, prolapse of the uterus with a feeling of a wedge driven in between the pubic symphysis and the coccyx. This sensation is associated with pressure on the uterus from the outside. Pulling downwards, as if all the organs of the pelvis were being pushed outward. Sensation as if something were leaking from the vagina, as if from a funnel.

"Urge to stool, but only hot gases come out, bringing relief, but soon the urge comes again." The calls are repeated, but with the same result. This remedy is useful in old patients who are chronically afflicted with this disease, those who suffer from constipation, who for several days do not have a stool, but every urge to defecate is felt, sometimes several times a day, but only a small amount of flatus comes out. Natrum sulphuricum usually helps in this condition. "Watery stools with lumps." This is also characteristic of Aloe; hard lumps mixed with watery stools; lumps in water or in liquid fecal masses; small hard lumps, resembling balls of marble or sheep droppings. With constipation, the stool is lumpy, in the form of marble balls or pebbles. Sometimes these "pebbles" remain in the rectum for a long time without any urge to defecate in the patient and eventually come out involuntarily, soiling the clothes. Complete loss of sensation in the anus, anesthesia; lack of sensation during bowel movements.

Many of the complaints characteristic of Aloe resemble dysentery in their symptoms, accompanied by cutting and inflammatory processes in the rectum and lower part of the colon, bloody discharge of yellow, gelatinous mucus. Sometimes only a large amount of such mucus comes out during bowel movements. Don't forget Aloe in cases of hemorrhoids, when the varices look like a bunch of grapes. "Itching and burning in the anus, preventing sleep." To somehow reduce the itching, the patient inserts a finger into the anus; the itching is so severe that the patient is sometimes unable to bear it; it can drive him crazy. The patient feels relief only by applying something cold to the anus. It is characteristic of Aloe that ointments increase the burning sensation. After their application, there is an increase in the burning sensation of the skin around the ulcers. The Sulfur patient is also unable to bear any applications, they act like a poison on him, causing a rash.

With inflammation of the mucous membranes, a thick jelly-like secret is formed. If there is ulceration or an inflamed surface, thick mucus can sometimes be scraped off with a fingernail, sometimes as thick as skin. Sometimes a similar condition is observed in the lower part of the rectum, while the patient says that the lumps of feces come out of him in a jelly-like mucus. In the Graphites patients, the stools are encased in curdled egg white. It is not uncommon for the Aloe patient to pass a full cup of thick, jelly-like mucus, which is concentrated in the lower part of the rectum, before a bowel movement. Aloe helps with narrowing of the rectum. The stricture prevents the exit of fecal matter from the anus, but the rectum fills up three or four times a day and forces the patient to secrete some amount of jelly-like mucus. Instead of the amount of fecal matter that should have come out, only a small part of it comes out. As stated above, our medicines are not able to cure the stricture directly, but sometimes it does happen. They treat the patient, and nature itself brings the matter to an end, putting in order all the inflamed tissues and restoring the patency of the intestine. This has been repeatedly observed with stenosis of the urethra and rectum.
