Hinged facade under a brick. Brick-like ventilated facades: fixing insulation and finishing

High aesthetic quality requirements, durability and environmental friendliness allow brick cladding to remain the most popular architectural solution in the construction of facades of modern buildings. The JORDAHL masonry fastening system gives architects and planners almost unlimited possibilities for the implementation of any creative ideas.

Fastening brick cladding is a special, main area in the activity of JORDAHL / Germany / and thoroughly researched, standard solutions have been developed for all cases of such cladding.

The indisputable advantage of the JORDAHL facade system is the ultimate minimization of "cold bridges" that occur in other solutions when facing facades with bricks.

For example, in the case of using the "traditional" technology with discontinuous "thermal liners" along the edge of a monolithic ceiling when the cladding is supported on the ceiling. The reason for the low efficiency of the use of "thermal liners" lies in non-insulated concrete areas (cold bridges) that violate the thermal contour of the building. "At the same time, the condensate is actively absorbed by the insulation, which has a higher temperature than concrete. The insulation gets wet, loses its heat-insulating properties, the condensate boundary moves deeper and deeper into the insulation, which causes even more wetting, etc. The process develops incrementally. At the same time, ice begins to form from the freezing condensate on the surface of the concrete, since the wet insulation no longer provides a positive temperature in the entire volume of the air gap, especially at the border of sections (2 and 3).The presence of ice on the concrete surface in the air gap, in turn, sharply cools the surrounding space, both the air and the insulation material. This increases the rate of condensation and the rate of ice formation.Under certain weather conditions (sharp daily or multi-day fluctuations with relatively low nighttime and relatively high - slightly above 0 ° C daytime temperatures) process may take on an avalanche-like character. - A.V. NOVIKOV, technical consultant of the engineering center (Moscow)"

Laying with facing bricks is carried out with a distance from the bearing base, relying on the supporting shelves of the brackets, which are the basis of the system, are made of stainless steel because they are located in an "aggressive" environment.

The space behind the cladding is intended for filling with slab insulation and providing an air gap. The air gap serves as a ventilation channel through which the upward flow of air carries away excess heat in summer, and in winter it helps to remove excess moisture from the surface of the insulation, while maintaining its thermal insulation properties.

The transfer of horizontal forces acting on the facing masonry (wind, buckling) to the inner wall occurs through metal flexible ties or anchors.

The design of facades with brick cladding requires an individual approach for each specific object using JORDAHL computer technology.
After making a fundamental decision regarding the layout of expansion joints over the area of the facade, it is necessary to constructively work out all the details of fastening the cladding (including in the corners, edges, lintels, seams ...).

For all cases of fixing facing bricks in the JORDAHL ® facade system, there are corresponding types of products / brackets.

Ventilated facades differ from each other in the thickness of the insulation and the size of the air gap. The larger these values, the larger the bracket extension should be. JVA+ standard brackets for cladding provide a distance between the cladding and the inner wall in the range of 40 ÷ 330 mm..

The design of the bracket ensures the transfer of the load from the weight of the brick, stone facing masonry to the bearing foundation of the building by means of anchor dowels or pre-embedded steel bearing profiles / rails.

The design feature lies in the possibility of coarse and fine adjustment of the vertical position of the support shelf of the bracket.

JVA+N single standard brackets form the basis of the system. For fastening masonry with offset base plate in height, for almost every type of bracket there are two subtypes (-A and -U) with an offset base plate in height.

The JVA+NA brackets with the support flange/plate offset downwards are suitable for use, for example, in the basement area. In this case, the upper edge of the waterproofing can go beyond the cladding, while neither the fastening with the dowel nor the thrust plate in the lower part of the bracket body violate the integrity of the waterproofing.

Brackets of the JVA+F group are combined brackets for fastening facing masonry, consisting of two or more standard brackets with a common support angle. In this case, the distance between the brackets is chosen, as a rule, as a multiple of the length of the brick, taking into account the thickness of the seam, and should be taken into account when working on the project.

Like standard, combined brackets are made with the necessary offset of the supporting shelves / plates in height. They are used in the corner areas of the building and near expansion joints, as well as for fixing the cladding over the openings.

There are two main ways of fastening facing bricks over the openings: "visible", in which the brick is placed on the bracket shelf, and "invisible", with “wire” brackets hidden in the masonry seams for fastening the brick under the bracket support shelf. For both options, the use of both standard brackets and brackets with a height-shifted support shelf is provided. The main factors determining the choice of elements used for attaching lintels are the clear width of the opening and the height of the masonry above the opening.

JGA anchors allow scaffolding to be fastened through the cladding (without leaning on it) to the inner wall.
If during the operation of the building it becomes necessary to re-install scaffolding, then they can be fixed to JGA anchors, mounted at the stage of facing masonry, using the anchor placement scheme.

MINISANT engineers provide support in the development and approval of technical solutions for fixing the cladding.

Checking the bearing capacity of brackets and support angles is carried out using the technical description "Bracket systems ..." or using the program for checking the bearing capacity of brackets.

    Price, Cost of JVA+ brackets.

For each object / project, JORDAHL specialized production manufactures a specific / individual set of brackets and components. This is due to the individual characteristics of the project (façade architecture, load-bearing base structure, weight and dimensions of the facing brick, element, etc.).

The exact cost of products with delivery to Moscow is calculated on request and, as a rule, does not exceed the average cost of stainless steel.

    BRACKETS FOR FACING BRICK

HALFEN is an expert in the field of systems using facing bricks as an external façade finish. The range of HK4 HALFEN cantilever brackets for layered masonry allows you to solve any structural problems, both with and without heat-insulating materials.

The main advantage of HALFEN HK4 cantilever brackets for external masonry is the ability to get away from the constructive solution associated with the removal of the supporting concrete lintel to the facade plane. The solution with a supporting concrete lintel has a number of significant drawbacks, first of all, it is the need to install thermal cuts by embedding non-hygroscopic materials with a low thermal conductivity in the places of facing brick supports. However, even when installing thermal cuts in a similar way, it is still impossible to completely get away from cold bridges in the area of \u200b\u200bthe ceilings. This has the most negative effect on the facade structure as a whole, especially when the facade is insulated using mineral wool insulation. Moisture accumulates in the places of brick supports on the ceiling in the off-season, which must be removed due to the ventilation of the structure, which is sometimes quite difficult to provide. As a result, the entire structure is moistened, which leads to the destruction of the brickwork and the penetration of moisture into the room.

HALFEN solutions for layered brick masonry make it possible to:

    Ensure ventilation of the entire plane of the facade, which ensures reliable operation of thermal insulation;

    Create the appearance of an integral brickwork without breaks;

    Solve complex, non-standard design problems.

What is a brick facade made of?

A ventilated facade that imitates a brick surface can be made from different materials.

The first option is basement siding. This is a relatively inexpensive material, the characteristic features of which are relatively low weight, ease of installation, high resistance to mechanical and chemical influences, and good maintainability. It is a worthy budget solution for the design of a ventilated facade.

The second option is clinker tiles. This material, used for facade decoration, is more expensive than siding, but it also has better aesthetic qualities. Clinker tiles not only perfectly imitate brick, but are practically not inferior to it in terms of performance. It is durable, not afraid of severe frosts and sudden temperature changes, which is especially important in the Russian climate, resistant to almost any environmental influences.

Clinker tiles also have some disadvantages: relatively large weight and complexity of installation, especially if the tile is not attached to the wall, but to a system consisting of brackets and profiles.

Contact us and we will help you choose the material that is best suited for your facade.

One of the most promising technologies for modern decoration of the facade parts of buildings and structures is the system of hinged ventilated facades. It appeared 10 years ago and managed to occupy a fairly significant part of the market for finishing facade materials.

The brick-like ventilated facade has a characteristic feature: the possibility of using it on new buildings and for the reconstruction of old ones. The system of such facades allows solving actual problems of energy saving.

In addition, visually it is no different from traditional cladding, in which ordinary building bricks are used.

    What are ventilated facades?

The essence of ventilated cladding is to create a gap between the insulation and the wall of the clad building. The main functional purpose of such a gap is to remove moisture and condensates, which are formed due to the difference in temperatures inside and outside the room.

The system consists of a cladding layer and a fastening system, i.e. a frame on which the cladding is mounted. It can be made from a wide variety of materials.

A hinged ventilated facade must meet the following criteria:

    • Have a ventilated gap available, the dimensions of which vary from 20 to 100 mm.
    • There must be air inlet and outlet openings in the lower and upper parts.
    • The absence of horizontal cut-offs between the facade wall and the cladding, preventing the free movement of air.
    • Facing should not be monolithic and not have gaps.

Depending on the type of cladding, a fastening system is selected, which is called a subsystem. Thus, a brick ventilated facade can be mounted on an aluminum or stainless steel subsystem. In addition to various materials, such subsystems can be made according to various schemes.

The design and scheme of installation and fastening of such subsystems is designed in such a way that it is able to compensate for deformations that occur as a result of temperature changes.

The ventilated ones also include those types for which decoration is used, for example, double silicate brick M 150, or other natural or artificial stone. In this case, the subsystem is not used, and the fastening of the cladding to the wall of the building is provided with the help of mounting anchors.

The material and design of such anchor ties depends on the material from which the wall to be lined is made. It is quite natural that such a large range of materials used entails a fairly large range of prices. The most budget price for materials where polymer panels are used.

    Additional advantages of ventilated facades

This type of finish has a multilayer structure, each layer of which performs certain functions. This ensures a long service life and high performance characteristics of the entire wall-cladding complex, and allows the main walls of buildings to maintain a favorable thermoregulation regime.

Thermoregulation without a protective lining layer is one of the destructive factors that affect the service life. Thus, the installation of a hinged system can significantly increase the operational life of the building.

The insulating layer of the insulation guarantees a lower consumption of energy resources that are used for heating. Such technology of building insulation allows, as a rule, to save up to 30% of energy resources. The service life of such systems directly depends on the material chosen and the correct installation.

    Installation of a ventilated facade

Since such methods of building cladding have been developed and are used for buildings of any type and purpose, the main structural elements are unified. This unification greatly facilitates installation and makes it possible to do it yourself.

Installation does not require special preparation of the facade. The exception is old buildings, where it is necessary to remove the old cladding and unnecessary structures.

    Installation procedure:

    1. On the cleaned wall, markings are made for fixing subsystems or anchors, and beacons are set.
    2. First, the insulation panels are attached in accordance with the instructions for the insulation.
    3. The main frame is being fastened, which will serve as the basis for fastening the cladding elements. The type and design features of the frame depend on the type of material used for decoration. The lion's share of modern subsystems is made of aluminum alloys and galvanized steel.
    4. Cladding panels are attached to the frame.

Advice. The methods of fastening the frame depend on what the building itself is made of. Fastening to stone and concrete bases is carried out using anchor dowels.

    Work rules

When attaching the frame, you should pay attention to the fasteners. As a rule, the instruction suggests linking the size and number of anchor fasteners with the weight of that part of the structure that is used outside.

That is, the greater the weight, the larger the diameter of the dowel should be. The correct choice of fasteners will allow you to evenly distribute the load. Together with the installation of the subsystem, the installation of such functional structural elements as brackets for drainpipes, fastening for ebbs and slopes of window and door openings is carried out.

    Fixing the insulation

After the installation of the subsystem, the installation of the insulation should begin. To ensure a long service life of the insulation, a vapor-permeable membrane film is mounted on its outer side. It will protect the insulation from the accumulation of excessive moisture, which can provoke the development of microorganisms.

Advice. Mineral and basalt fiber heaters most fully meet all the requirements that apply to such heaters.

    Finishing

After the operations of the device of the subsystem and the installation of the insulation, they proceed to the direct installation of the elements of the decoration itself. can be fixed in both visible and hidden way. All panel elements, as well as subsystem elements, are unified and interchangeable. Therefore, the technology of their installation is not particularly difficult.

The only caveat is the use of porcelain stoneware and thermal panels coated with clinker tiles. The fact is that these options for ventilated facades upon completion of work require a process such as grouting.

The vertical facade system "Fast-KLT" is made of galvanized steel with a polymer coating, allows the use of clinker tiles on the facade with and without grout, which makes it possible to carry out facing work all year round and guarantee the facade a beautiful appearance for a service life of more than 100 years!

    Clinker tiles

Clinker tiles have the highest strength and attractive appearance, giving the facade a beautiful, clearly defined pattern of perfect brickwork. Combining the advantages of a hinged ventilated facade and natural clinker, it is ideal for creating facades of private cottages, office buildings, multi-storey residential buildings.

The low moisture absorption coefficient makes the clinker tiles extremely resistant to frost. The use of natural raw materials in the production of tiles provides a high degree of UV resistance, which significantly increases the service life and makes it possible to use in rather aggressive environments, for finishing the facades of buildings that need protection from negative atmospheric influences.
