In fact, here is a classic version and an unusual addition for this salad - fried crackers. It turns out very interesting and insanely delicious! Try it for sure!

    Ingredients

    To prepare the Greek salad with croutons you will need:

    fresh tomatoes - 2 pcs.;

    fresh cucumbers - 1-2 pcs.;

    Bulgarian sweet pepper - 1 pc.;

    purple onion (small) - 1 pc.;

    feta cheese (you can cheese) - 100 g;

    pitted black olives - 7-10 pieces;

    salt, freshly ground black pepper - to taste;

    dried oregano - 0.5 tsp;

    lemon juice - 0.5-1 tsp;

    olive oil - 30 g;

    white loaf - 2 slices (for croutons);

    vegetable oil - 1 tsp (for frying crackers);

    lettuce leaves - 1 bunch.

    Cooking steps

    Add the purple onion cut into thin half rings and the bell pepper cut into strips.

    Carefully cut the feta into small cubes, add to the salad. Season everything with a little salt, pepper, sprinkle with oregano, pour in lemon juice and olive oil. Mix the salad gently.

    Cut the banana slices into small cubes.

    Sprinkle pieces of banana vegetable oil and fry over medium heat in a preheated pan until golden brown on all sides. Let the crackers cool down.

    • Olive oil - 80 ml;
    • 1 table. l. oregano seasonings (fresh version 1 bunch);
    • Salt, black pepper;
    • If desired, you can add 1 tbsp. dried mint.

    • Since the origins of lettuce originated in the villages of Greece, where the quality factor is in the price, it is recommended to cut all the ingredients into large pieces, and this primarily applies to tomatoes. Slice the tomatoes:
    • Chop the onion into rings:

    • Peel the cucumber from the peel, and cut into semicircles of medium thickness. Cucumber slices will look even better if done with curly wavy cutting. Add to bowl.

    8. Combine and mix gently the ingredients (except lettuce leaves) in a separate container. Drizzle with sauce. Let it brew for 7-12 minutes in the cold.
    9. Add croutons to salad. Mix gently from bottom to top.
    10. On a flat wide plate or in a shallow salad bowl, put lettuce leaves in the first layer. Pour the finished dish on top. Garnish with herbs and serve immediately.
    There are several nuances that will help you prepare a Greek salad that is ideal in terms of taste composition and aesthetics in this interpretation. We are mainly talking about crackers, since not all aromatic additives used in the production of this product are in harmony with tender feta and boiled chicken fillet.

    Ideally, croutons should be made on your own, using a white loaf made from premium flour or French buns. Bread is cut into neat cubes and dried in an oven at a temperature of 80 degrees until golden brown. They take it out of the oven and, while the crackers are still hot, sprinkle them with a little garlic olive oil (crush a clove of garlic, pour 3 liters of oil, let it brew for 10 minutes), sprinkle with Extra salt or ready-made dry seasoning "For grilled chicken".

    If there is neither the opportunity nor the desire to bother with the preparation of crackers, you can add a product from the store to the chicken Greek salad. The only condition is to choose classic white croutons, crackers with the taste of herbs and sour cream, smoked chicken or cheese.
