World of warcraft battlefronts how to get there. Battlefronts in WoW Battle for Azeroth (Guide)
;

Introduced in Battle for Azeroth, Warfronts are a new weekly event that for some players will be a nostalgic nod to the days when the word "Warcraft" was associated only with strategy. For those who do not feel any nostalgia, fronts will be just a great opportunity to get good equipment, a couple of mounts, and also have fun in the process. In the future, there will be more fronts, but now only the Battle of Stromgarde front is being prepared for the opening on September 4 - our guide is dedicated to it.

Stages of the Battle of Stromgarde

PvE battle The battle for Stromgarde consists of certain stages that replace each other for the most part by themselves. Players, on the other hand, only affect how quickly these stages change. It all looks like this:

1. The Alliance controls the territory, the Horde gathers forces

At this stage, the Alliance gets access to quests with pleasant rewards and mini-bosses on the territory of Arathi Highlands, from which mounts, pets and toys can even drop (we'll talk about which ones a little later). The horde at this time the whole world collects resources to storm the fortress - players can donate both gold and items made with the help of their profession. If the fronts are already available, then on the Zuldazar map for Horde players, the location of the military camp will be marked, where resources for the assault should be stored. As a reward for donating, players will receive a certain amount of Azerite to enhance their Heart of Azeroth amulet.

2. The Alliance controls the territory, the Horde is advancing

No donations are being collected at this stage, and Horde players can join the Battle of Stromgarde. It is impossible to lose this battle, but how quickly and efficiently and quickly the players act depends on how quickly your faction will seize control of the territory and how long it will retain this control.

3. The Horde controls the territory, the Alliance gathers forces

At this stage, exactly the same thing happens as at the very first one, only tasks and world bosses go to the Horde players. Alliance players, meanwhile, will have to collect resources - the military camp will be located in Stormsong Valley, and the corresponding icon will appear there.

4. The Horde controls the territory, the Alliance advances

At this stage, the Alliance players are already fighting, and as soon as they win the battle, the 1st stage of the Battle of Stromgarde begins again.

Battle of Stromgarde tactics

Once on the territory of this front, the first thing players need to do is defeat the mini-boss of the enemy faction (with a lot of luck, you can knock out equipment level 370 items from it) and capture a mine with a sawmill that will produce Iron and Wood - the main resources required to recruit troops and the construction of buildings. After that, it's time to go on the offensive. To do this, you just need to collect resources, build buildings at your base, hire troops, and then together with them smash enemy soldiers and destroy enemy buildings. For the players participating in the battle, it will be most effective to divide into groups of attackers and gatherers - there must be at least one tank and one healer in the group of attackers. And while the attackers, in fact, attack, the gatherers must ensure a constant flow of resources and reinforcements - for this they will have to build on the basis of their faction and run around the map in search of additional resources. Such tactics are much more effective than violent raids on enemy fortifications with the whole crowd, but only if you want to win and receive a reward for it.

This is important: the main goal of the gatherers during an offensive is to build a Workshop and collect siege engines on it - as soon as the siege engines are ready, the gatherers can join the attacking team with a clear conscience. The attackers should remember that it is not worth breaking into the main enemy base just like that - first you need to capture the points of interest surrounding it, for example, New Zealand.

After the attackers secure their faction control over the territory around the Stromgarde fortress, and the gatherers prepare the siege engines, you can begin the assault on the enemy's main base - the Horde's goal will be the Stromgarde fortress itself, and the Alliance's goal will be the Horde fort of Ar'Gorok. You just need to break down the gate and kill the commander of the enemy troops - this will lead your faction to victory in the battle.

Types of buildings and methods of their use

In the Battle of Stromgarde, buildings that must be built by players using the resources collected throughout the location play an important role. The buildings themselves are not so many, but they bring a lot of benefits in the framework of the Battle of Stromgarde.

1. Town Hall

This is the main building required for the further development of the base. The Town Hall itself speeds up the collection of Iron and Wood, but it can be upgraded to a Fortress, and a Fortress can be upgraded to a Castle. Building a Fortress opens up access to the Barracks, and building a Castle allows you to strengthen siege weapons.

2. Altar of Storms / Altar of Kings

Previously, such buildings allowed the resurrection of dead heroes, but now they serve to strengthen the living. It happens as follows - players throw resources on the altar, and receive for this, for example, an increase in damage done. This effect will no doubt be very useful in combat.

3. Barracks

Everything is obvious here - you spend resources to recruit troops that will defend your base and attack the enemy.

4. Forge

It works in the same way as in strategies - you spend resources to strengthen the units that are hired in the barracks.

5. Workshop

This building is used for the construction of siege vehicles, without which a normal assault on the enemy base will not work.

This is important: the construction of buildings requires resources, and Iron for some reason always requires more than Wood - do not forget about this when you are collecting. It is also best to discuss in advance with your allies what resources will be spent on in the first place - coordinated actions will speed up the progress of equipping the base and bring your victory closer.

Additional rewards

After the Battle for Stromgarde ends with the victory of your faction, you will gain access to an updated version of the Arathi Highlands location. While exploring this location, you will probably stumble upon several opponents who have mounts, toys and pets for you. You just have to find and how to beat off these opponents.

Mounts

Toys

1. Ghost Mask - allows you to put on a ghost mask. Dropped by Ghastly Ghost (26, 35 or 20, 61)

Syndicate Mask - Equip an orange Syndicate mask when used. Drops from

What are fronts, how to collect resources, defeat opponents and get loot.

What are fronts?

Fronts is a 20-player cooperative PvE mode, which is a large-scale battle for a certain territory. As part of the team, you will have to build and improve outposts, provide resources, create supply lines and train troops in order to ultimately carry out a stunning attack and conquer an enemy fortress. However, unlike in Warcraft III, you will not be in control of the action from above, but will fight in the forefront.

Event start

Before the front starts, you will need to collect resources by completing daily quests, for which you will receive an impressive amount of reputation and Azerite.

It works similar to construction on the Broken Shore. Every time you bring resources, you get a reward. And so on until you collect them all.

A few words about front mechanics

• Resources. Fronts use three types of resources. Their number can be seen on a special panel, which is available only in front mode. Iron and wood are used to construct and upgrade buildings, and the rare currency, Essence of the Storm, grants the powerful Storm Call buff.
• The buildings. You can build different types of buildings. They are used to train troops, improve equipment and create siege weapons. We recommend building in the following order: Barracks> Armory> Altar of the Storm / Altar of Kings> Stronghold / Fort> Workshop> Citadel / Castle.
• Base. Players can conquer the base of the enemy faction after over the enemy captain. Each base offers its own advantages.

Arathi Front Rewards

• Base armor pieces are randomly awarded after winning the "Front: Battle for Stromgarde" event. This is an automatic reward that appears on the front victory screen and can be earned multiple times over the course of one week.
• Appearance Set 2 Armor Parts are awarded for killing rare creatures and world bosses of Lion's Roar / Doom's Howl in the outer version of the Arathi Front, as well as the Honorbound / 7th Legion reward from the NPC that issues reputation rewards and the world quest emissary ...
• The rarest armor pieces are obtained randomly from the front-line equipment chest and are awarded for the weekly quest Front: Battle for Stromgarde on the first victory this week.
When your faction controls the front, you can access a special world boss. But, regardless of whether you control the front, you can farm special mounts, pets and toys in Arathi Highlands!

Capturing mine and sawmill

Immediately after capturing the base, your team should split into two and go to capture the mine and sawmill located nearby. It is better to send more people to the sawmill, since when you kill the ancient ones guarding it, the loot will be distributed to everyone. It is also worth considering that the ancients spawn quite quickly, so additional forces will not be superfluous.

Target of the Horde

Sukhovsov mine - mine, Lumberjack ridge - sawmill.

Lumberjack ridge
Defender: Lumberjack Leo - 1.88 million health
Abilities: Brutal Crush, Crushing Swing

Sukhovsov mine
Defender: Overseer Crix - 1.88 million health
Abilities: Vicious Pickaxes, Dynamite Toss

The purpose of the Alliance

Galson Mine - Mine, Upper Cuttings - Sawmill.

Upper clearings
Defender: Grohl - 1.88 million health.
Abilities: Brutal Crush, Crushing Swing

Galson Mine
Defender: Overseer Crix - 1.88 million health
Abilities: Vicious Pickaxes, Dynamite Toss

Collect as many resources as possible before returning to base. In the mine, search minecarts and destroyed kobolds until you collect 200 iron. At the sawmill you need to cut down trees nearby and kill the ancient one until you collect 100 wood. Only one player gets resources from the tree and minecarts. If other players are gathering resources near you, it is better to move to another place, so you will cover a large area.

Prompt: the drop from the kobolds and the ancient is shared among all nearby players.

Stage 2: basic strategy

After capturing the sawmill and the mine, enemy forces will begin to attack them and your base. At this stage, you have three priority goals that need to be divided between two groups of players.
• Collecting resources
• Protection
• Attack
At this stage, you need to start building buildings, after which it will be possible to create Destroyers / Siege Engines to destroy enemy towers and gates. It is very important to keep the mine and sawmill under control, as without them you will quickly run out of resources and you will lose your advantage in battle. But it is even more important to defend the main base, since its loss will lead to defeat.

Stage 2: protection / collection of resources

For this it is worth highlighting 10-12 players. Collecting materials and supporting resources is one of the most important roles. To start collecting them, you need to complete one small quest at the sawmill and the mine. You will have to fight only with kobolds and ancients, with which players of any level of equipment can cope, but it is better to take one tank with you.

Building and gathering

The main task of the defending group is to focus on collecting iron and wood, and when the required amount is reached, spend them on building and upgrading the base. Having collected the maximum amount of a resource, players need to take it to the base. Iron is a higher priority resource, but it is also mined more slowly, since it can only be found in periodically appearing minecarts, unlike wood, which is obtained by felling trees.

Prompt: iron is slowly generated in the chest next to the Great Hall, don't forget to pick it up. But also remember that you can collect a maximum of 200 resource units.

First of all, all resources must be spent on the construction of the barracks, since this building provides serious assistance in attack and defense. After the barracks, resources should first of all go to the construction and modernization of the base itself, but if necessary, they can be spent on other things. The optimal order of building buildings is as follows:

The progress of construction is displayed in the interface of the "Desktop" of the building, as well as when you hover over its icon on the map. It also displays the required amount of iron and wood to complete the construction.

Protection

Players collecting resources must also play the role of defenders of the base, sawmill and mine, as they constantly move between them. The tank must hold back the waves of enemy attacks, protecting the captains of its base. This is a serious threat, underestimating which you can easily lose your base. You should react to such attacks as quickly as possible, because if they are not stopped, the captains of the bases can die very quickly. Sometimes the enemy's attacks can be intercepted by the attacking team, but you should not hope for this, since it is still the work of the defense team.
• The base will be lost if your NPC captain dies. It can be recognized by the name and flag of your faction.
• If you lose the base, an enemy captain with reinforcements will immediately appear there, who will need to be defeated in order to recapture the base.
• When your captain loses a lot of health, warnings will appear on the screen and in the chat.
After upgrading the base to a fortress / fort and building a workshop, focus on building Destroyers / Siege Engines. Only three units can be built at a time. Once they are built, resource collection fades into the background and the defending team can advance to the attacking team to help defend the siege weapons.

Stage 2: attack

The optimal number of attacking team players is 8-10. This is enough to take almost any base except the Circle of Elements. With a well-equipped tank, even a group of three can do this. This group should contain the best equipped players so that they can quickly capture bases without involving too many people. Remember, no matter how strong your party is, you will need Destroyers / Siege Engines to destroy the gate anyway. Optimal team composition: 1 tank, 1 healer, all others - DD.

Prompt: the attacking team should also collect resources on the way to base.

Capture of New Earth

Today Novozemye is one of the best bases to capture. It gives the opportunity to train the strongest types of troops - wolf riders / knights, and a little later - war kodos / elekk riders. Also, New Earth is much easier to capture compared to other bases, therefore, it is better to capture it as soon as possible in order to immediately start enjoying all its advantages on the battlefield.

After capturing New Earth, collect as much wood as possible from the surrounding areas, and then return to the base. Don't forget to pick up the iron from the chests. Spend most of your resources building buildings and upgrading your base (). You can also invest some of the resources in the troops, if necessary. If you have already upgraded your base to Fortress / Fort level, you will need to train at least two wolf riders / knights who will act as excellent guards. They have powerful AOE attacks and can also slow enemies down, which is very useful when fighting waves of opponents and clearing enemy bases.

Target of the Horde

New earth
Defender: Leo the Woodcutter - 2.69 million health
Abilities: Flurry, Stunning Shot

The purpose of the Alliance

New earth
Defender: Rider Zugg - 1.88 million health.
Abilities: Dash Dash, Fire Bomb

Capture the Nest

After capturing New Earth and improving the base, it is best to move the front line to the center of the map towards the Nest. Capture Braveglass Road / North Crossroads located directly in front of your base, and then head into the Nest. This will give you breathing space between the waves of attack on your base and create a safe path for the Destroyers / Siege Engines.

Target of the Horde

North crossroads
Defender: Lieutenant Valen - 1.88 million health.
Abilities: Heavenly Shock

Nest
Defender: Rock Stonesblood - 2.69 million health

Prompt: after capturing the Nest, players will be able to fly between all controlled bases.
For completing the Establish a Connection quest, which will become available after capturing the Nest, players will receive an Upgrade Flight Master's Whistle: Fronts, which will allow them to quickly return to base while they are at the front.

Capturing the Circle of Elements

The Elemental Circle is the hardest base to capture. It is useful only as an additional line of defense for the mine, and helps a little with the final attack on the enemy base. This base is still worth capturing, but only after more and more priority targets are under your control. Capture it only when the enemy is not attacking the rest of the bases and you have the opportunity to select 10 players necessary to capture it. Otherwise, you should postpone the capture until the next stage.

To capture the Circle of Elements, you will need to defeat the tamers of fire, guarding the spirit of fire, and then himself. Once they are defeated, the base will go to you. As soon as the health of the spirit reaches 30%, he will begin to cast the spell Apocalypse. If he succeeds, then all his health will be fully restored. Therefore, it is better to take as many players with the best equipment as possible to fight him in order to kill the spirit before he finishes the spell.

goal

Circle of elements
Defender: Spirit of Fire - 2.69 million health.
Abilities: Flame Burst, Apocalypse

Stage 3: escorting siege weapons

After building the Workshop and creating Destroyers / Siege Engines, it is no longer necessary to constantly extract resources. Passive iron gathering will suffice. Defense and offense teams can come together and act together.

Waste of remaining resources

Before moving on, players should visit the base again and spend all their resources in the following order:

Also, each player can:

Escorting siege weapons to the Nest

At this point, you should already be in control of the Nest. If this is not the case, then proceed with the capture as soon as possible. If the Nest is under your control, Destroyers / Siege Engines will safely get there without the need for an escort and start firing at enemy siege towers on

In this guide, we will tell you about the Battlefronts in Battle for Azeroth and their impact on the development and progress of your character.

0. How to get to the battle front in WoW?

If your faction controls the battle front, then you can queue up for the front through the Front Map located in your faction's capital in Battle for Azeroth. If your faction does not control the front, then you can simply fly to Arathi Highlands, but in this case you can only kill monsters and players of the opposite faction.

1. The cycle of battle fronts

Warfronts are full-scale battles between the Alliance and the Horde. This is cyclical content, in which one of the factions controls the area (that is, it has access to rare monsters, world bosses and corresponding loot), and the second, in the meantime, strengthens its position (surrenders items, gold, resources for war). When the second faction meets the requirements, a battle takes place. Warfront support counts for the entire region (similar to Mage Tower on Broken Shore). Every player who contributes receives Azerite and Reputation as a reward. After the battle, control over the area passes to the second faction, and the first begins to collect resources for the next battle.

2. Where to start

After opening the front, you will be able to complete simple orientation tasks - to explore the surroundings and make the first contribution. DO NOT CONTRIBUTE UNTIL YOU'RE PROPOSED TO DO IT ON JOB! If you contribute too early, you will have to wait an extra day to complete the orientation assignment. In other words, wait for a yellow exclamation mark to appear among the blue exclamation marks on the map.

3. Contribution to the development of the combat front

Contributions to the development of the warfront can be gold, War Resources, or items created through professions. The contribution can be made daily, receiving a reputation as a reward, which is necessary for progress in the military campaign.

If you want to support your faction with gold, complete the quest Support the Front: Gold (Alliance) / Support the Front: Gold (Horde). This requires only 100 gold. This is an insignificant amount that you can invest every day without too much damage to your budget. The reward for each of these tasks is 500 units. Azerite and 150 pts. reputation with or. Each daily mission to contribute to the development of the front gives 500 units. Azerite and 150 pts. reputation with the 7th Legion or the Honorbound. Reputation with these factions is required to access - Mage "Haram and Dark Iron Dwarves. You can complete 10 tasks in one day. For this you will need 100 gold, 100 War Resources and various items made with the help of professions. You will receive 1500 Reputation and 500 Azerite This contribution accelerates the development of the front and brings the battle closer, during which you can get a level 370 item, as well as fight the world boss and rare monsters from the Arathi Highlands.

After the start of the add-on, items created using professions will probably cost a lot, but over time you will be able to buy them at the auction without going broke. Characters accepting deposits may ask you for different items, so you can purchase from the auction for future use. Here is a list of items and materials that may be required to support the battlefront.

Profession Subject (s)
Alchemy / Herbalism Steelskin Potion x2 or Coastal Mana Potion x20
Blacksmithing / mining Monelite-Fortified Horseshoes x2 or Monelite-Fortified Stirrups x2 or Monelite Ore x60
Cooking / fishing Spiced Loin or Meaty Haunch x60
Enchanting Enchant Ring - Mark of Critical Strike x3 or Enchant Ring - Mark of Versatility x3
Engineering Crow's Nest Scope x6 or Frozen Ammo
Inscription War Scroll of Battle Cry x3 or War Scroll of Intellect x3
JewelcraftingAny cut stone of unusual quality x15
Leatherworking / Skinning Drums of the Maelstrom or Rough Leather Horse Armor x2 or Rough Leather x60
Tailoring Battle Banner Quick Gathering or Tidespray Linen x60

It is currently unknown how many weekly contributions can be made and how long each faction will control the front. Based on the data obtained on September 4, 2018, it can be assumed that the Hordes will gain access to the front in three days, after which the Alliance will begin to collect resources for a new offensive.

We plan to collect information about the materials that must be handed over every day, in order to then determine the patterns and calculate the moments for their profitable buying and selling. On September 4, 2018 the situation on the American servers Horde could pass:

• 100 gold

If you play on European servers and have similar information, we would be happy to read your comments. If you are an Alliance player, please collect data for us as soon as you have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the front. This will help us build reliable material lists and predict future material requirements.

4. Strategy for battlefronts

The battle at the front is impossible to lose, but this does not mean at all that you should let things take their course. If your faction wins the battle faster, you will gain access to world bosses earlier.

During the battle, you can participate in hostilities or collect resources. If you're not well-dressed, you'll be smarter in your resources. If you like gathering resources, the choice is also obvious, because most will definitely want to fight. If you belong to this very majority, join the squad and go to capture positions.

4.1. First step

At the moment, there is only one battle front in the game, in the Arathi Highlands. The player who first got to the battle front ends up in enemy territory and must defeat the mini-boss. After the boss dies, you need to capture the nearest mine and mill. At the mine and mill you need to collect Iron and Wood, which are needed for construction. If there are too many people at the mine, go to the mill or vice versa. If you have a connection with other players in the group, invite them to split up and go to the mine and mill in equal groups.

4.2. Second phase

At the front, you can build buildings that speed up the victory of your faction. The faster you collect resources, the faster you can build buildings.

• Town hallFortressLock - The Town Hall and its improved counterparts speed up the collection of Iron and Wood, at the second level they give access to the barracks and the commander, and at the third level they increase the damage from siege weapons and give access to the commander's special ability.
• Altar of Storms → This building gives the player a powerful boost in exchange for resources - Raging Force increases the maximum health, outgoing damage and healing by 10%, stacks up to 4 times; also grants the effect of Call of the Storm when it detects Essence of the Storm (a rare item that can be obtained from defeated enemies).
• Barracks - this building allows you to recruit troops that will defend your base and attack opponents. The resource required for hiring is iron.
• Mill - this building allows you to exchange resources for weapons and armor for units.
• Workshop - This building allows you to construct combat vehicles that ensure quick victory.

Priorities for the assembly team

1. Collect 140 iron and 140 units. wood and build barracks.
2. Collect 260. iron and 140 units. wood and build a mill.
3. Collect 260. iron and 140 units. wood and build an altar of the storm.
4. Collect 380 iron and 180 units. wood and upgrade the town hall to a fortress.
5. Collect 500 iron and 220 units. wood and build a workshop with siege engines.
6. Collect 620 iron and 260 units. wood and improve the fortress to the castle.

All collectors should remember that iron usually requires more than wood, so it needs to be harvested more actively. The erection of the barracks and the mill significantly increases the combat power of the units, and the erection of the altar of the storm - the combat power of the players themselves. Upgrading a town hall to a fortress speeds up the process of gathering resources and generating siege engines in the workshop, that is, it increases the destructive potential of the entire team. Further improvement of the fortress additionally speeds up the process of collecting resources, allows you to recruit additional units and build siege machines.

In the process of collecting resources, the collection team needs to react to waves of opponents and protect the mine and the mill from them. Build and upgrade buildings until three cars appear in the workshop. After that, focus on building machines and defending the base.

While one team is collecting resources, the other team must strategically capture points on the map.

Attacking team priorities

1. Capture New Zealand to gain the ability to recruit stronger units.
2. Capture the Nest so your Siege Engines can pass through the center of the map unhindered.

After that, help the assemblers to speed up the process of building cars, break the enemy gates as early as possible and gain access to the enemy commander.

4.3. Stage three

At this stage, you need to finish off the surviving opponents and take what belongs to you by right. Escort the siege engines to the gate, destroy the gate, and kill the enemy commander. In the third stage, collectors and attackers must act in concert. After destroying the gate, enter the courtyard in an organized manner, kill the boss and celebrate the victory.

5. World bosses on the Battlefront

The faction that controls the battlefront has access to world bosses: Doom's Howl for the Alliance and Lion's Roar for the Horde. Bosses drop level 370 equipment, which is equivalent to loot from the heroic, as well as special toys. The toy for the Alliance is called the Toy Siege Tower, and the toy for the Horde is the Toy War Machine.

6. Rewards and loot from the Battlefronts

The faction that controls the front also has access to treasures and rare monsters.

Five mounts

• Donkey - Dropped by Overseer Crixus at coordinates (27.56) for the Horde and (33.37) for the Alliance (in both cases in a cave)
• Head - drops from Head, which is located at coordinates (57, 46)
• Swift Albino Raptor - Dropped by Tamer Kama at (67.66)
• Witherbark Direwing - Dropped by Nimar the Soul Separator at (67.61)
• Alliance only, Highland Mustang - Dropped by Doom Rider Helgrim at (54,57)
• Horde only, Broken Highland Mustang - Dropped by Knight-Captain Aldrin at (49,40)

9 pets

• Escape of Aldrius - Dropped from the Tree Lord Aldrius at (22,22)
• Plague Egg - dropped from Plague Buzzard, located at coordinates (38.61)
• Shard of Fozruk - drops from Fozruk, which walks along the road with a point (51.53)
• Fluffy Rustle - drops from Yadomar, which is located at coordinates (57,53)
• Evil-looking egg - dropped from Razorbeak located at coordinates (18,28)

The basics

Fronts is a 20-player PvE game mode. The war is already on the doorstep of your home, and members of each of the factions are fighting with each other for control of a strategically important place.

Inspired by Warcraft III's real-time strategy (RTS) warfronts, you play as a commander leading a small group of warriors into battle.

Together with other members of the group, you will have to build fortifications, ensure the supply of resources, establish routes for the delivery of supplies, train soldiers in the art of war, and, finally, capture the enemy's fortress. However, unlike in Warcraft III, you will not be leading the battle from the "height" - you will get a role in the front ranks!

Will I have to participate in PvP battles in the fronts?

Fronts, while reflecting the conflict between the Alliance and Horde, are not PvP content. By queuing up to participate in the fronts, you are not queuing up to participate in a battleground, or a PvP dungeon like Ashran. Once at the front, you will go into battle, accompanied by 19 allies, under your command will be NPCs, and you will have to fight with bosses and enemy soldiers.

Cycle of fronts

The whole cycle includes 4 stages. Blizzard provided the following description of the stages:

Blizzard

• The Alliance initially controls arathi highlands, and Horde players challenge them: they donate items made using professions, gold and resources for warto prepare your faction to attack. All players in the region take part in the preparation.
• As soon as the required amount of supplies is collected in the region, front "Battle of Stromgarde"... Horde players will be able to queue up and take part in the battle. You can get to the front within a certain period, so that those who wish can complete tasks at the front, taking into account their schedule.
• After the end of the battles arathi highlands passes into the rule of the Horde. While the players of this faction are in control of the zone, unique local boss, a number of rare opponents and other rewards.
• Then the heroes of the Alliance begin collecting items and preparing to attack the territory of the Horde.

The first phase of the accumulation of resources lasted 5 days, after which the representatives of the Horde were given 7 days to queue up for the passage of the front-line scenario.

Representatives of the Alliance were able to fight with the local boss and rare opponents in Arathi only once during the cycle - the traditional system of weekly discharges did not extend its effect to the above creatures.

Initiating a front-line battle

Fronts will use the same mechanics as buildings on the Broken Shore - your faction will need to accumulate enough resources to initiate a front battle.

After the resources are collected, your faction will be able to start the battle. The team that wins the frontline battle will gain control of the base and access to special content in the open world, while the losing team will focus their efforts on amassing resources to take revenge.

For each contribution, you will receive a large number of Azerite units and reputation points.

Item level requirements

To be able to queue up for the frontline scenario, a character must reach level 120 and have at least level 320 equipment.

How are fronts implemented in the game?

The first front is the Battle of Stromgarde in Arathi Highlands. The basic principles on which the fronts are built are as follows:

• Resources - the game features three types of resources associated with fronts. You can familiarize yourself with them by opening a special interface window, which can only be accessed at the front. Wood and iron are used to construct and upgrade buildings, while Essence of the Storm (a rare currency) is used for - powerful buffs applied;
• The buildings - the game features various structures that you can build. With the help of these buildings, you can call for reinforcements, install weapons, produce armor and equipment. We recommend that you build buildings in the following order: Chieftain's House> Barracks> Armory = Altar of the Storm> Fortress> Workshop> Citadel;
• Base - Players can take control of the base by planting a flag and defeating nearby hostile NPCs. As a reward for taking the base, you will receive various bonuses.

The team that initiated the front-line battle is guaranteed to win - this was done in order to exclude a situation in which the front is constantly held by one of the factions. The American and European game worlds will follow the same cycle.

A frontline battle is considered to be over when the enemy commander who controls Stromgarde Fortress dies.

Awards

Collections

In Arathi Highlands you can acquire a variety of vehicles, pets and toys, incl. Swift Albino Raptor (Alliance) and Broken Highland Mustang (Horde) from fallen enemies.

Transmog Items and Azerite Powers

As a reward for participating in the frontline battle in the Arathi Highlands, you will receive a set of armor, made in a remarkable color. Plus, with a bit of luck, you can get PvP oriented Azerite traits without taking part in PvP battles.

• You will be able to receive items from the most modest set of equipment for participation in the fronts at random after winning the Battle of Stromgarde. The receipt of this reward is automated - you will receive a notification of its receipt after the opening of the window notifying of the victory in the frontline battle. Within one week, you can receive several of these awards.
• Items from the second set of equipment for participation in the fronts are obtained from the bodies of rare enemies and fallen bosses - "Lion's Roar" / "Doom Howl" in the open version of Arathi Highlands, and are also rewards received from the Ambassador's chest and can be purchased from the quartermaster The Honorbound / 7th Legion after receiving a certain number of reputation points.
• Items from the most luxurious set for participation in the fronts can be obtained after the opening - a reward received after completing the weekly task "Front: The Battle of Stromgarde". The objective of this quest is to win the Battle of Stromgarde this week.

Stromgarde history

• From the first volume of the publication The Chronicles Of Warcraft»We learn that Stromgarde, called Strom, was once the capital of the great kingdom of Arathor.
• During the Second War, Stromgarde was a thriving port city that allied with Lordaeron against the Horde.
• Stromgarde, due to a disagreement between Thoras Trollbane and King Terenas, left the Alliance. Thoras wanted Terenas to annex part of Alterac and annex it to Stromgarde in gratitude for the kingdom's losses.
• During the Third War, Stromgarde supported Jaina Proudmoore on her expedition to Kalimdor. Thoras died tragically at the hands of his own son, Galen.
• After leaving World of warcraft, in
• In Battle for Azeroth, the Alliance controls all of the Eastern Kingdoms as the Undercity lies in ruins.
• The battles in the Eastern Kingdoms are concentrated in the Arathi Highlands, a strategic point where the interests of both factions intersect. The Alliance wants to take control of the Highlands in order to prevent the Horde from attacking from Silvermoon City, and the Horde wants to regain control of the North, and not lose sight of Gilneas.

Patch 8.1: Battle for Darkshore Front

The second front that will appear in the game with the release of Patch 8.1 is called “ Battle for Darkshore". As you might guess, the battle will be in Darkshore, and the main theme of the front will be the confrontation between the Forsaken and the night elves, which is a logical continuation of the "War of Thorns", which led to the burning of Teldrassil.

• There will be new buildings and improvements, such as ballistae.
• The first faction to donate supplies will be the Alliance.
• The open world of Darkshore will also change - rare opponents of the maximum level will appear in the zone, and representatives of the faction that controls the front will always find something to do.

Warfronts are new content in Battle for Azeroth. A factional PvE scenario that plays out a war of factions on a conventional battlefield. The Arathi Highlands front is available at the moment, with the release of Patch 8.1 there will be a Darkshore front, or shortly after its release.

What are battlefronts?

A brief summary of what the Front is:

• This is a 20-man PvE scenario
• Objective: collect resources, develop the base, accumulate troops and defeat the enemy by laying siege to the fortress and killing their leader.
• The front moves cyclically from one faction to another.
• Initially, the front belongs to one faction for a week. After that, the opportunity to register in the scenario disappears, but a world boss with 370 loot appears on the Arathi Highlands.
• While the leading faction kills the world boss, the other collects resources for the attack for several days (approximately 5 days). Progress is the same as building buildings on
• Broken Shore.
• When the scale for collecting resources is full, the front goes to the second faction.
• The edge condition is cyclical and is not associated with a weekly update.

How to get to the front?

To get the opportunity to get to the front, you need to take a quest near the ship of your faction in the capital. Quests will arrange for you a short tour of the Arathi Highlands.

If your faction is dominant at this stage of the front, you are free to hunt rare mobs on Arathi and complete local quests to kill mobs. Most importantly, you can fight the local world boss Lion's Roar for the Horde or Doom's Howl for the Alliance.

If the front does not belong to your faction, then all rarniks are also available to you. However, Arathi Highlands will have to be reached manually.

World bosses in Arathi Highlands drop 370 equipment.

If you need to retake the front, you will have to sponsor the attack. Quests appear in the port that require some profession products and resources.
Here is a list of some of the options:

• Alchemy / Herbalism: Steelskin Potion x2 or Coastal Mana Potion x20

• Requirement: 100 gold.

Each completed quest in the port for the surrender of resources will bring you 500 Azerite.

Cycle of Fronts

Arathi Highlands moves from one faction to another in a very cyclical manner. The speed of the transition depends on how quickly the faction that does not own the front collects resources. After collecting resources, the attacking faction is given a week with the opportunity to register for battle. After that, the world boss becomes available, and the opposite faction begins to accept resources for the attack.

The frontline attack scenario is available for 7 days. The world boss will be available for ~ 5 more days.

Fronts map

Arathi Highlands map looks like this. We've also marked all key points for convenience. Regardless of the faction, these points remain unchanged.

Front resources

There are 2 types of basic resources on the front. Wood, Iron. Obtained at the sawmill and in the mine, respectively. Each resource can have no more than 200. In addition to their direct extraction, your base has chests with resources in which they accumulate over time - just like in the garrisons of the Warlords of Draenor times.
As an additional resource, there is Essence of the Storm, which you can have at a time in the amount of 1 piece. It allows you to activate Storm Call - a very powerful buff for your character for 10 minutes.

Front structures

Each faction builds identical buildings with a similar function.

Castle / House of Chiefs

The main building that allows you to strengthen your troops. Has 3 levels.

• 2nd requires 380 Iron and 180 Wood.

Unlocks an additional recruiting unit in barracks
• 3rd requires 620 Iron and 260 Wood.
Increases the number of resource miners.
Increases the maximum number of recruited combat units in the barracks.
Increases the damage of siege engines.
Allows commanders to use a special ability.

Barracks

Allows you to recruit various troops. Requires 140 Iron and 90 Wood.

You can hire:

• Infantryman / Grunt for 20 Iron
• Shooter / Ax Thrower for 30 Iron
• Priestess / Shaman for 50 iron. Requires a captured Circle of Elements.
• Knight / Wolf Rider for 50 iron. Requires captured Stables.

Armory

Equip your troops with perfect armor and weapons. Requires 260 Iron, 140 Wood and a Barracks.

By donating resources to this building, you can fill the progress bar of improvement research. 10 units of the resource of your choice are donated either to improve armor or to improve weapons.

Altar of Kings / Altar of Storm

Allows you to enhance your character. Requires 260 Iron and 140 Wood.

By handing over 10 resources, you will receive the Raging Power buff. Increases damage and health by 10%, and reduces damage taken by 10%. Stacks up to 4 times.

The npc of the opposite faction can drop Essence of the Storm, which will allow you to receive a very strong Storm Call buff. It is recommended to leave for the battle with the final boss.

Workshop

Allows you to build military equipment capable of destroying enemy buildings. Requires 500 Iron and 220 Wood, plus the last level of the Castle.

The beginning of the battle

After registering for the front, you get on an aircraft, from which, after a while, your entire squadron will need to parachute onto a base captured by the enemy. This is where the action begins.

Frontline strategy

First, about the differences between the factions. It consists in the fact that the attack on the front and the location of the places of extraction of resources are arranged in a mirror image. The Alliance attacks from the south and the Horde from the north. All npc have different names, but identical abilities

Having landed at your base, you will find a large number of enemies on its territory. Your task is to defeat the leader of this army, this will allow you to use a flag that looks like points from the battlefield.

• For the Horde, this is Sergeant Major Slade.
• For the Alliance, this is Veteran Reaver Kromshok.

After the flag is yours, you can build buildings, but without resources, nothing will work.

Mining

There is always a sawmill on the western side of the base, and an iron mine on the eastern side. Your squad should split up equally and capture both sites with resources as soon as possible.

• For the Horde, these are Lumberjack Leo in the sawmill and Overseer Crix in the mine.
• For the Alliance, this is Grohl<Бригадир лесопилки> and Overseer Crixus in the mine.

Having dealt with these npc, you can capture these points and begin to extract resources.

Resources are extracted as follows:

Sawmill

Wood can be obtained from slain Evil Ancients, or from emerging trees. To cut down trees, you need to take an ax at the sawmill. You can have a maximum of 100 wood.

Mine

Iron can be looted by all players from killed cobalts, which often spawn. In addition, ore carts appear throughout the mine. They disappear after one use. Maximum can be accumulated 200 ore. Also, do not forget that iron is still accumulating in the chest from bartarks at the base, which can be picked up at any time

Having reached the resource cap, run back to the base and invest resources in buildings, hire troops or power up your character.

Now we will tell you about priorities, where and in what sequence to invest resources, as well as how best to allocate your efforts.
All actions on the front can be divided into 3 main groups:

• Resource extraction and construction
• Protection
• Attack

We have already figured out how to extract resources, but! The sawmill and mines will be attacked with some regularity by the units of the opposite faction. If these units are not neutralized, then soon they will take away your site for the extraction of resources, and this will greatly slow down the development of your base.
To prevent this, you should follow the large messages in the center of the screen. They often announce attacks by enemy units. They can be intercepted along the way. You can select a separate group of people who will deal with the defense, or these units can be stopped by players from the mine or sawmill, depending on where the enemy is going. Tank players are most effective at stopping these units.

Building construction sequence

1. Barracks. Needed for recruiting units and further developing the base. Their units are extremely useful during defense and attack.
2. Armory. Increases the combat performance of units.
3. Altar of Storms / Altar of Kings. Not as strong in the beginning, but needed to upgrade the main building.
4. We upgrade the main building to the second level.
5. Workshop
6. 3rd level of the main building

Until all the buildings are built, it is advisable to spend resources only on the units necessary for protection. Once everything is built, everything needs to be invested in units, mechanisms and troop upgrades. When constructing these buildings, you will go from defense to attack, as you will be able to make enough siege engines / destroyers to attack the enemy's fortress.

Offensive

On the way to the enemy's fortress, there are 3 anchor points that you need to capture. By capturing the central point, you will greatly reduce the enemy's attack on your points.

In addition to them, there are 2 more interesting points: in the west of the Stables - New Earth, and in the east the Circle of Elements. Each of these places can be privatized, which in turn will open access to the hiring of 2 additional units from each point. It's worth starting with the Stables as Wolf Riders / Knights are powerful units that deal AoE damage. This will greatly speed up the further advance. The stables are held in the same way as a sawmill with a shaft. Your task is to deal with the main mobs at the point and capture the flag. For the Horde, this is Jaeger Theodore, and for the Alliance Rider Zugg.

When going on the offensive, start at the Stables. This will allow you to recruit strong units.

The Circle of Elements is not so important, but it will open access to the hiring of Shamans / Priestesses in the barracks, and directly in it you can summon one Spirit of Fire. These units are optional, but they will contribute.

An important point: to capture you need to defeat the mages in the circle of elements holding the elemental, and then the elemental itself. All bursts need to be left for the last 30% of the elemental's life, since he starts an uninterrupted cast that will heal him completely.

After capturing the main three points on the way to the enemy fortress, you have to break the Gate to the enemy base. To do this, you need to have the maximum number of destroyers. Only they are capable of breaking through the gate. While they shoot at the gate, opponents will constantly arrive from the inside, so protect them with all your might.
As soon as the gate is broken, you just have to defeat the head of the opposite faction:

If you have resources left and you are not far from the base, spend them on strengthening your character in the Altar of Storm / Altar of Kings.

These bosses are quite “thick” and strong, so a tank is highly desirable for you.

For the Alliance, this can be one of three bosses presented:

For the Horde:

After defeating the commander-in-chief, you will receive a 340 ilvl item, and the front will be over there. Do not forget to turn in the quest at the port to get another 370 item.

Quests

When the necessary resources are collected for the attack near the Front Map (table in the port), the recruiter will have a quest to attack the front next to it. At the end of the front, this quest will reward you with the 370th item in any slot.

After capturing the front, quests for farming various mobs in Arathi Highlands will become available to you. Six quests, four of which will give you 200 War Resources, one 300 Azerite and one random item of 340 ilvl.

These quests are issued by the Portal Master in the port and in the front fortress. For the Alliance - Ivera Dawnwing, for the Horde - Druze Netherfang.

• Twice outcasts
• Emergency exorcism
• The league cannot be won
• Death to the Boulderfist clan!
• Sins of the Syndicate
• Death to the Witherbark

Local bosses

Depending on the faction, after the end of the period of possible registration for participation in the attack, a world boss appears at the front for the faction holding the front. For the Horde, it's the Lion's Roar, and for the Alliance, it's Doom's Howl. These bosses are absolutely identical in abilities and loot.
